Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Our property is in Evans Plains, just 15km from Bathurst. We have a number of large grassy sites available with plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The property has an abundance of wildlife, with a Koala colony, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Echidnas, Platypus (rarely seen), Parrots, Eagles, and possums for those who enjoy wildlife watching you will be spoilt for choice. Evans Plains Creek also contains alluvial gold which results in the area being very popular for gold panning. Bathurst Mt. Panorama racetrack is 15 km east of the property. The Bathurst goldfields can also be found at the mount. The rural gold mining town of Sofala (Australia's oldest surviving gold town) is 60km north on all sealed roads. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash so that they do not disturb livestock or native animals. Campfires are allowed but campers must bring their own fire pit if they would like a fire. Only fallen wood on the ground may be collected. Campers must also have their own camping toilet and take all waste/rubbish with them on departure. There are no designated campsites within the 145 hectares (360 acres) campground.Our property is in Evans Plains, just 15km from the Bathurst Post Office. Ripper of a campsite!
What an absolute ripper of a campsite. So private and quiet. We stayed in the unwooded paddocks which gave us a spectacular view! Perfect for sunsets. Only about 15 mins from Bathurst. Just what we needed for our couple of nights stopover. The host directions are comprehensive but very clear and took us straight to the spot. We found printing them out much easier to follow.

Great site with a great view! Felt very private as we had the whole place to ourselves. There were lots of cute kangaroos about too.

Thanks for a lovely stay! This place was easy to find and not far from Bathurst, but felt completely quiet and peaceful! We stayed adjacent to the Koala sanctuary. Lovely sunset views through the trees.

Star gazing heaven
What a place! The views were absolutely amazing. We loved it. Mike was a nice guy who came to meet us after we got a bit confused by the directions. He even gave us a brief history lesson too. We highly recommend this place and would happily return.

Great views from the campsites, be sure to read the directions prior to arriving otherwise you may get lost like someone I know. Once you read them it’s fairly straightforward. One section is tight especially if you’re towing a large van and your car doesn’t have a great turning circle.
