Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. This 3000 acre property is located close to Nimmitabel and not too far from Cooma. Try your hand at trout fishing and enjoy endless tracks for bushwalking and observing the native wildlife. Wander along the river banks just enjoying the serenity of the location and witness platypus feeding, water dragons sunning themselves and the brown trout fly feeding and one of Australia's beautiful but lesser known native rodents, Rakali (intelligent semi aquatic water rat who's scientific name translates to golden -bellied water mouse). One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP . There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.

Fresh Water Farms location provides a great base to explore Eden and the Far South Coast. Eden is 15 minutes away with its new Mountain Bike trails, Gravity Eden. We stayed by the riverside in a gorgeous spot largely to ourselves - each site is very generous in spacing, and the nearby common area shed offers shelter and a heater in inclement weather (not that we needed it!). The river was cold, and mullet offer a bit of sport for a more competent angler than I, and the trees offered plenty of shade!

1000 acres of bushland, private campsite only 3km from the Snowy Mountains Highway. Good mobile coverage. Lots of wildlife. Campfires permitted. Potable water available. No toilet or amenities. 4WD is best but not absolutely necessary, a small low clearance car won't be suitable. Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it's expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Next morning buy some fresh eggs, have breakfast, check your vehicle over, top up a bit of water and back to the main highway in a few minutes.

Bunga Surf Shack is located 20m from our house we are completing building in mid-2025. It is private from our house with a seperate driveway. The property is coastal farmland, half wooded, half cleared, distant neighbours and nearby National Parks. Great surf beaches including Bunga Point, Cuttagee and Aragunnu all close by. There are numerous coastal lagoons, Biamanga and Mimosa Rocks National parks. We have a large dam at the entrance to the property. The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. Brogo Dam is excellent location for a swim and to take your dogs for a walk or swim. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach. The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds. Roagumba, or Roa for short, is our 920 acre patch of paradise in the stunning Yowrie Valley on the NSW Far South Coast. Roa is a family owned working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland. The Yowrie Valley is surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park, giving it a sense of remote seculsion whilst being only a 15 minute drive from the township of Cobargo. The valley is a 35 minute drive to the stunning beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away. The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes. The property is a working cattle farm so you're likely to meet some very friendly cows during your stay, as well as a lot of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and birds. We operate three Hipcamp sites and two different locations on the property. Mountain Camp is a single site and offers complete seclusion and privacy, while River Camp is a double site and offers views across the valley whilst only being metres from the river. Both locations have composting toilets and Mountain Camp has an additional undercover camp kitchen. We cater for small groups and families who are seeking a quiet, peaceful escape. Our sites are small and are capped at 6 people each, per night. To reduce vehcile traffic, protect our farms biosecurity and out of respect to our neighbours, there is a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site.

Riverview Kiah is offering one campsite nestled on a very quiet part of the Kiah/Towamba river. To minimize impact on neighbors and make your stay more enjoyable, there is only one campsite offered on the whole property, so apart from the owners you will have it all to yourselves. You will need to be a self-contained camper who brings their own camping toilet/shower. We offer access to water via a 1000l pod that is close to the campsite. This water is drinkable and may be used to fill jerry cans/ wash etc. We just ask you to please be frugal with usage. The campsite is situated on a grassy knoll a mere 30m away from your own private beach, which is ideal for fishing kayaking and swimming. The Kiah / Towamba river is well renowned for its excellent fishing. Live bait or soft plastics are best. Live bait can be sourced at nearby Nullica beach or alternatively, frozen prawn's, pipis or salted pilchards also yield success. Some of the species that call the river home are, Flathead, Bream, Luderick, Whiting, Estuary Pearch, Jewfish, Mullet and Flounder. If you bring your kayaks, canoe or roof top tinny the river is very picturesque with unique photo opportunities and an abundance of wildlife. You can head upstream for a way but if you're feeling up to it, it's about a 2.5-hour paddle (at a slow steady pace) to the mouth of the river where Davidsons whaling station is located, as well as the view across the bay to Eden. If you time it right, you can go and return with the tide. Two kayaks and life jackets are provided with all bookings so that people without their own equipment are able to explore the pristine waterway. There is a large firepit near the river that may be utilized as long as there is no total fire ban in effect. If you have your own firepit that can also be used but there are to be no fires on beach or bare earth. Firewood can be provided at an extra cost, (please select in extras, 1 bundle will last 2 nights on average). Directions will be provided 48 hours before arrival; you are welcome to head straight to camp although if around I will meet and greet you upon arrival. Full privacy with only one group per secluded site. Spacious level grassy campsites on the Towamba (Kiah) River, a pristine estuary that runs into Twofold Bay. 10 minutes on bitumen south of Eden and close to many of the Sapphire Coast's stunning coastline, National Parks and attractions. Site #1 (near) Boatramp has NO facilities so you must be self-contained. Site #2 Main Site offers a composting toilet. Both sites have access to fresh water and are suitable for caravans as well as tents. We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share! Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river. Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water. Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site).
