Amazing campgrounds , well maintained. So beautiful having a beach on a river it’s very nice. Some of the negatives tho not owners fault there are Bull Ants near bush area, I camped and had quiet a few walking around and I got stung on the hand which was not pleasant, so my advice find a more central spot in the grounds away from the bush. Also I took a tinnie boat with me it was a bad idea I managed to get the boat into the river but getting it back onto trailer was extremely difficult because it is very steep and sandy so it’s not advised , stick to a kayak. But I definitely would return just without a boat and find more central spot away from bush get away from the painful Bulldog ants

Good stop over for the night. A little on the pricey side but given there is nothing else in the area has the monopoly. Mowed patch of lawn next to sugar cane field. No power/water. Friendly host.

Weekend Trip to Private River Camp

Our family had a wonderful stay thanks to Craig and Kerry. Directions were simple to follow and entry to the site was well maintained. The large grassy paddock was perfect for the kids to run around and we spent all day relaxing in the river and enjoying our private beach. There was a nasty storm overnight but Craig offered that we could park under the huge awning so we didn't have to worry about our setup. We're looking forward to coming back next Summer!

We popped in for a quick over night stay and Riverdale on out trip north. It is right on the river if you love a fish. Paul has an old Red Kelpi, she was lovely and friendly. She got loads of pets from the kids. Paul was easy to deal with. Camp site was nice and dry, flat and well maintained. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Great spot, large cleared area with plenty of sites all to yourself or would accommodate a large gathering. Orara river is lovely for a paddle and a swim in summer. Only people we saw were a couple of tinnies fishing down the river.

What a gem! A huge bush block with loads of great caravan-friendly campsites to choose from, so you can really find your own private slice of paradise. The freshwater river was absolutely beautiful - perfect for a swim. It felt wonderfully secluded and peaceful, yet still close enough to town to duck in if needed. If you love space, privacy and nature, this place is hard to beat. We’ll definitely be back.

Great stopover camp! On a busy road so just be mindful if you have dogs and kids but other than that was great! Close to the river for a quick fish and serene cane field views! Also they have the sweetest farm dog ever she hung out with us all night until we went to sleep.
