Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking. (Saturday night 2-night minimum) There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. There are fire drums available on each site, most with grill plates - subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. There are three communal flushing toilets and two awesome hot water showers! ALL waste is to leave with you! There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week Thurs-Sun, just 10kms up the road providing last-minute supplies, ice, bottle shop, and cafe services. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river. Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are loving welcoming back our guests. Bring your caravans, tent or swag - all are welcome! Unfortunately, boats are not. Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney. We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice! We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water. ​Fires are only permitted when allowed, in the designated areas only.

Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney. We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice! We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water. ​Fires are only permitted when allowed, in the designated areas only.

I thoroughly enjoyed camping at Wedderburn. It was my first solo camp and i loved it. I stayed near the damn and was accompanied by Robert’s three doggos throughout my stay. The amenities such as the bathroom, pool and a shower was very accessible, and Robert also made sure that he was accessible should there be any issues. I will definitely come back again!

You will not find a better spot within two hours on Sydney. I’m reluctant to share how good it is in fear of it being booked out next time we go. We went for a family catch up before Christmas. Even though it was a 40 degree weekend it didn’t feel like it under the beautiful shady trees. The river, though busy with boats on the hottest weekend of the year offered a quick refresh in a floating tube. Megan the host was fantastic, responsive and warm. The property itself is immaculate. Beautiful sunsets, My Brother hired Mabel the vintage caravan for the two nights and loved lt. It was the perfect weekend. Thank you so much Megan.

Lovely little spot overlooking a small dam full of water lilies, ducks and an amazing chorus of frogs. Blessed with dappled shade in both the morning and afternoon. It was windy so I camped off to the side so we wouldn't be directly underneath the big gums. Note there is a road on the other side of the dam so you do see and hear utes fanging along, but not loud enough to wake us. My little guy had a great time feeding the animals, and we loved being able to pick fruit and eat it straight off the bushes. It's also great having the shop and cafe for some creature comforts. Jaime was friendly and helpful too :)

Jaime and Nathan are honestly some of the nicest people you’ll meet. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. The campsite itself is awesome—huge spaces for tents and plenty of room for the kids to roam. The café has seriously good coffee (a lifesaver for parents!), and everyone we met was so helpful and friendly. The kids loved the tractor ride and meeting the farm animals—it’s the kind of simple joy that makes camping special. There’s even a sandpit where the kids played for two hours (which gave me a chance to doze off :) ). They said they wanted to stay there forever!

The rates are reasonable and the sites are wide. Firepits, shower and toilets available. There is a cafe open during our stay plus fruits that we can freely pick and eat (just be reasonable in the amount you take) there are friendly farm animals that you can join in feeding them in the morning. Great for families and friends looking for something fun, close to Sydney activities. Only downside is if it is hot, there isn’t any shade so prepare your own shelter, and only 1 shower is available.

We have two dams with yabbies you are welcome to collect. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive (4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and veggie picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). The campsite is located on the high side of the property that looks over into the valley & has stunning views of the Berowra National Park. There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor. We are 1.5 hrs from Sydney. On arrival you will feel the atmosphere of this wilderness area. Colo River Hut is located adjacent to the Colo River. A beautiful, unspoiled location on a pristine river. With it's own private beach and over 400 metres of riverfront. We are on the opposite side of river from the the Wollemi National Park. The hut sits (alone) within the eastern (10 acre paddock) of our property. There are no walls and so you have permanent views across the paddock to large sandstone cliffs and we are less than 30 metres from the riverbank. The Hut has a rustic tin roof, a large bench area with power points and task lighting. Tents or swags can be set up within the Colo River Hut. Or, if you wish, you can set up your tent or camper or small caravan adjacent to the Hut. There is plenty of room as there is a maximum of 8 guests (and 3 vehicles) with each booking. The Hut has a raised hardwood timber floor and enclosed composting toilet and hot/cold shower facilities. It also has ceiling fans for airflow and insect control. We provide a gorgeous shaded area under a large tree with valley views, with a large bbq table and chairs and fire pit (with grill) for your enjoyment. Firewood is also provided. Suitable for swimming, canoes, bikes, Bass fishing, and hiking, the Colo River Hut can be as active or relaxing as you wish. The Colo River Valley remains largely undiscovered, and is on the edge of the Wollemi wilderness. The Colo is fed by the Wolgan and Capertee Rivers. It has a long history and retains much of its' early unspoiled charm.
