We loved our stay at Horses for healing at Sussex Inlet and would highly recommend this spot for anyone who is looking to stay at quiet and secluded spot. The property was easy to find and host met us at arrival. Campground is located near the paddock with alpacas and a donkey (host told that we could pet them, but they were shy and kept their distance, so we decided not to disturb them). We saw many kangaroos during our stay as well. Overall nice spot and would try to come again during warmer months.

We enjoyed our experience at Cudmirrah Beach, the concrete slabs were great, nicely spaced, new and in great condition. The amenities were spotless and clean. The location to the beach is mint! We went in winter and had the beach to ourselves. Kangaroos coming through the area at dusk and morning were nice . The only downside is there isn’t any shops close - so bring supplies in with you. Although this also makes the spot nice and quiet. Would love to go back in the summer.

I loved teardrop camping at Surfside Cudmirrah Beach. The facility was very well maintained. The showers had strong water pressure and hot water. The toilets were clean. The powered site P5 was nice and spacious. The beach is stunning and pretty much secluded this time if year. I do wish I could bring my own firepit and not pay $10 a night, that said, not a deal-breaker. Would easily return annually.

We really enjoyed our three nights at Glinda Hill. Wed originally booked for two nights but decided it wasn’t enough time so extended for a third. Tabitha has mown a lovely, large, open space. Very private and loads of sunshine for charging our solar panels. Wilson Drive is close by so you can hear some cars during the day, but we didn’t mind it at all and the nights are super peaceful. Our doggoes enjoyed free ranging in our paddock. Hill Top village is very close by and has everything you might need. Mittagong, Bowral and Berrima are only a short drive away, so this is a fantastic base for exploring the area. We can recommend the Eden Brewery (Mittagong) for a beer and burger, as well as 1834 if looking for a pub lunch in Berrima (both dog friendly). We also rate Baked in Berrima for delicious bread and baked goods. We’ll definitely keep Glinda Hill in our “Favourites” list, especially given its relatively close proximity to Sydney. Thank you Tabitha!

We loved Lisa’s farm. It’s a lovely big flat area with great fire pit and small covered shed that you can use. There is a porta a loo on site. It is peaceful with birds wallabies and horses around, walks into the bush and a short drive into Sussex inlet, lakes and Cudmirrah. We explored the area and found lots of beaches good surf and coffee too! Would definitely return. Lisa and her husband were very helpful and kind.

We loved camping in our Van here! There is so much space, it’s private and peaceful! There is mobile phone reception (Optus!), being able to have a fire and being dog friendly is a bonus! Being not far off the road there is the occasional road/traffic noise but this didn’t bother us one bit - the sounds of the birds in the morning and the nearby Rooster were just perfect! As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.
