Never Never Park is a Sub-Tropical Rainforest property which borders the ancient Gondwana World Heritage National Park on 2 sides including along Coopernook creek. Located half an hours drive Northeast of Dorrigo and 1 hour West of Coffs Harbour (via Eastern Dorrigo Way) in the beautiful Bellingen Shire, surrounded by various National Parks with 4WD tracks, crystal clear creeks, waterfalls, cascades, swimming holes and picnic areas. The property is 400 acres featuring spring fed mountain streams, cascades and waterfalls that run through its central gorge. First surveyed in 1906 and logged in the days of bullocks and hand saws, remnants of a bygone era remain including the “Jack Feeney Memorial Giant Tallowwood Tree”, a Champion Tree of Australia listed in the National Register of Big Trees. It’s over 50m tall, more than 1000 years old, and was around long before Captain Cook reached our shores. The landscape starts in dense Sub-Tropical Rainforest opening up to lush green pastures overlooking the amazing views to the west showcasing hedge-rowed rolling hillsides and 1600m high mountain range towards Marengo. The local fauna is amazing and quite rare, featuring the locals of the Gondwana Rainforests, Koala’s, Wallabies, Paddy Melons, Lyre Birds, Satin Bower Birds, Glossy Black Cockatoo’s, King parrots, Crimson Rosella’s, Wedgetail Eagles, Catbirds, Riflebirds, Fairy wrens, Diamond pythons, Water dragons, Giant Panda snails, Glow Worms, Fire Flys and many more… including our Horses, Cows, Chooks and Bees. Similarly, the flora is very diverse including Native Tall Hardwoods, various types of Palms and tree ferns, Rainforest and flowering Trees, Vines, flowering grasses, Stag Elk horns and other epiphytes, Crows nests, Mosses, Orchids and more. A magical land that time forgot - Tranquil and Peaceful. You will come here to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of `Black Mountain'. `Black Mountain’ is on Gumbainggir country. It is a registered conservation property bordering Nymboida River and Nymboi-Binderay National Park. Alastair and I have shared the property for more than 25 years and consider ourselves custodians of this precious place. Visitors enjoy: the pristine river; walking tracks through diverse terrain; starry night skies and campfires. Previous guests recommend staying at least two nights to soak up the atmosphere and explore the area. Choose from the 'Ant Shack' or four adjacent campsites with easy access and views to the Nymboida River. Shared facilities include a hot shower and composting toilets. You can walk, swim and kayak, explore the area or just relax for days. We can’t accommodate domestic animals or allow fishing, not even catch and release, because we protect our wildlife and the endangered Eastern Cod. Black Mountain is remote but just 60 kilometres from Grafton or Coffs (via back way). 2WD access to our house is from Nymboida only. 4WD/AWD from Lowanna or Glenreagh and 4WD/AWD down to the river/campsite area - Not suitable for caravans. All proceeds from Airbnb and Hipcamp are invested in the continuing conservation of Black Mountain.

Stay in the comfort of our open plan glamping accomodation, equipped with a main queen bed, a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and single on top, with access to two more airbeds. Explore the 100acre bush surrounds on the property with pre-cut walking tracks and two dams. Lay under the awning in the breeze to watch the many little birds flit through the trees morning and night. Fall asleep to the sound of frogs bleating in the dam just beyond the glamping cabin. You have access to limited solar power to charge any personal devices as well as run camping fridge and smaller camping devices. Shower off with in the sandstone and copper outdoor gas hot water shower while staring out into the bushland. Keep quiet at night to experience the wallabies and possums who live on the property and come in to feed. Spend the evenings staring up at the night sky, with no light pollution as a result of being situated in the middle of 100acres of bush, the stars will be a whole new experience! ✨ For those winter evenings, use the fire pit responsibly to toast some marshmallows and share some quality connection with one another sharing stories and making memories. Alternatively cost up to the indoor fireplace. Look no further than the Lawrence tavern, a short 10 minute drive for your lunch and dinners, right on the river with excellent food, be sure to make a booking. Alternatively cook on the fire, use the bbq or your own camp cooking set up. Please ensure to take all rubbish with you, there is no bin collection to the property through council and by not storing and taking your rubbish you put our wildlife at risk. Garbage bags are on site for you to use and take your rubbish with you. There is a bin at the Lawrence park and river. You are situated 1hr inland from Yamba and the beaches, 30mins from Grafton as a local main hub and 35mins from Maclean. While in the area why not do a spot of fishing while the kids play at the Lawrence park which overlooks the Clarence River and jetty. Fuel and an excellent general store is located at Lawrence General store with a coffee cart open most mornings. So say yes to some down time. Explore the region and come back to a beautiful 100acre slice of quiet bush paradise. Camping toilets are available on site or bring your own. Soon to be upgraded to a composting toilet.

Great campsite and great hosts. The best camp shower and toilet I have experienced and the raised deck for our tent kept us out of the mud and moisture. We didn’t meet Dianne but her family were very accommodating, providing mozzie zappers and citronella lanterns to place around the site and extra firewood. Being there after a big wet, the mozzies and pot holes along the dirt access road made it a little challenging but being prepared for this would make all the difference. It was also a bit further out from Evan’s head/Yamba etc. than the listing described. Thank you guys for a great camp, if we’re up in Northern NSW again we will be back!

We had such a lovely stay at this camp site the setting was peaceful and beautiful. The facilities were great even had hot water and the tents were amazing. The host really made it stand out. We had a run of bad luck with our car, and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out. From offering advice to physically helping us sort things out, he was incredibly kind and generous with his time. Highly recommend staying here, not just for the gorgeous setup and great facilities but for the amazing hospitality. Thank you again!

Booked two of the glamping tents to camp with a friend and our kids. Host was very helpful and attentive, setting us up with a fire and free insect repellent. This place was more established than I expected. Didn't get a chance to do any of the activities (kayaking, mountain biking etc) but had a really great time nonetheless. Great price as well 😊

The hosts were very generous and had some spare Mozzie coils and zappers for us to borrow which was greatly appreciated. Bring your gumboots and bug spray! We would happily come back here.

This family run camp is only new. Chris lives on site and is catering to the eco camper. His knowledge and conservation of this pristine area is impressive. I setup camp down on the river that was easily accessible, and even has its own sandy beach! There are walking tracks all over the expansive property and is a bird lovers paradise. I was able to use their Kayak and have a paddle a few kms upstream flicking a few lures to try and catch that elusive bass that's still there. The amenities block had a nice hot shower, toilets and sinks. There are a number of glamping style tents that have been setup for those that like a bit of comfort or don't have the gear. There's plenty of wood around to have a fire. Great spot, not too far from civilisation but far enough to think your the only person on earth. I will definitely be back.

We stayed at The Ranch as we wanted to go horse riding. I couldn’t work out how to book the horse riding on Hipcamp so contacted Shanti directly messaging through the app & then a call. Shanti was very responsive. She was also very accommodating of our dog, & has a beautiful well cared for herd of horses. Great swimming hole at the end of the ride.

We were welcomed by Di with a bucket of ice and piccolo bottles of bubbly with 2 glasses and told we were their first guests. We were chuffed, what a super start to our stay. As we were the only ones they also upgraded us to the larger glamping tent, it had such lovely furnishings with the most comfortable king size bed. Chris was the most hospitable host, he came to bring us some mozzie lamps and check on us which was very thoughtful. This is definitely worth the visit we will be back again. This was our second stay at Swan Lake. It is a beautiful property where you feel very safe and looked after. Shanti took us on the troopy To muster up the horses and it was really amazing. The horses come galloping out of the bush to her 4wd! We did another trail ride and swam the horses in the river. A very special place and a very special woman with beautiful horses!

We did the Troopie Safari which was very cool and lots of fun, watching a herd of horses gallop past us was unbelievable! We camped at the Swan lake site at The Ranch on Clarence 👌🏽 the outdoor baths are amazing! Easy access to the River, Shanti & Jingles provided a canoe 🛶 so we paddled up to sandy riverside beaches, swimming & relaxing in nature without a soul to be seen! Riding over the creek crossing the next day was amazing, we took the horses in for a swim, this was a highlight! It was the perfect little getaway & a unique experience in a very beautiful part of Northern NSW Highly recommend a few days here!

We loved our stay at Shanti’s property, the girl from our site was amazing. It was such a relaxing outlook while enjoying our morning coffee and afternoon game of scrabble before a few beers around the fire. Shanti is an awesome host and so accomodating, ready to help with anything if needed. We also enjoyed the troopie horse safari, watching her herd of horses running free was like a scene out of a movie. Higher Ground is an off-grid property that feels a world away, but is only 15 minutes drive from Maclean, 25 minutes from the stunning beaches at Brooms Head, Angourie and Yamba, and less than 2 hours from the Gold Coast. Visit our organic permaculture farm and experience the self-sufficient life you’ve been yearning for, with off-grid solar, tank-water and a waterhole for swimming. Vegies, fruit trees, heritage breed chickens with babies hatching, a shade house for seedlings – this garden is designed to minimise effort and inputs and maximize productivity. Learn about animal integration into the system, new ways of composting and food forest systems. We have a homestead for rent, Glamping Belle tents and also a variety of camping options, Each site is relatively flat and has enough shade in the hottest part of the day. Whether you are in the house or camping, you will have privacy both from your fellow campers with each site being at least 30m apart, separated by trees yet still open enough to enjoy the views of the land and each aspect of the sun throughout the day. We have a screened in camp kitchen for you to enjoy with fridge, tank water and solar power. Each site has a metal fire pit and plenty of space for 2-3 tents or caravan /motorhome with good access during the dry season. The composting toilet and hot shower are close by. We are dog friendly as long as your pet is quiet and well managed. Off-lead can be decided depending on the dog and the interaction with our passive 10 year old Koolie who is very relaxed around other dogs. They must be controlled as sheep are nearby and we have an abundance of wildlife. We have a slackline, a rope swing and badmitten for anyone looking to include more play in their stay! Responsible campfires are permitted in the metal fire pits in designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood can be purchased for $15 P bag Full Mobile reception for Telstra and Optus although we encourage you to minimise screen time during your stay and immerse yourself in the off-grid lifestyle 😉. The road in is also suitable for a 2WD but more comfortable in a 4WD. Drinking water is provided. Please bring your own water for cooking and washing up.
