Hot showers are available ($1 coin for 1 min hot water), toilets and a disability accessible bathroom.
The camp kitchen is large and well equipped with tables, chairs, a lounge area & tv for you to enjoy. The kitchen has cooking facilities, a kettle, toaster, microwave, prepping areas & more making it a comfortable space to prepare and eat meals under cover. Campers have reception to 4G.
We have a turning lane entrance with boom gate security.
When you arrive and set up, you will be able to ramble around our property and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful tree studded campground. Sit back in the afternoon and enjoy nature at its best and then a beautiful warm campfire, perfect!!
Whether you're camping in a tent or vehicle, there's plenty of space to set up. The campsite is grassy and level, and 2WD accessible. There is a dump point for your camping toilet. Generators are permitted from 8am till 5pm (extreme heat on the day consideration).

While visiting Dungog, there are boutique cafes and shops, a historic cinema, and a lot more to see as you wander through the streets.

Vista 180 is our little property situated on the outskirts of town, with 180-degree rural farmland vistas from East to West, that overlooks the Hunter River nearby.
If you're looking for somewhere in a rural setting that has flat to very gently sloping grass paddock areas to set up your tent, camper, caravan or motorhome then this is the place to stay. Our paddock has easy access for vehicles large or small, 2wd or 4wd, with all the conveniences offered in town nearby. Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast.
We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels.
You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice.
Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland.
It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre.
Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them!
Your own toilet is a necessity.

Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee.
For those a bit more adventurous, we take you via road to our drop off point and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 3 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. There are heaps of places to stop and have some lunch and a swim on the way.
The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going.
Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them.
A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee.
We’ve kept things simple and natural because that’s the way we like it. It’s a true bush camp — plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and no fuss. We just ask that everyone who stays treats the place with respect and leaves it as they found it, so the next campers can enjoy it too.

Such a quiet and cosy place to camp! We loved it! The host and the dog were very friendly, it wasn’t a far drive to shops and the beach, but still remote enough to feel relaxed and disconnected!

A large grassed area with fire pits and water available. We stayed 3 nights and used it as a base to explore the area. Close to Seal Rocks without the crowds.

Myalls Away was the perfect place for us to stay over Easter. Only a couple of groups staying here and felt really private and like our own little campsite <3 Michael was super lovely!! and his pup Halo made sure to check on us at dinner time : )

We had a lovely Easter long weekend at peaceful pond. The kids had an absolute ball keeping themselves busy, Vickie and Tim were amazing hosts and so very accommodating for us, we would recommend Peaceful Pond to anyone.

Our second time staying here and we absolutely loved it!! Large flat area for camping and plenty of room. Theres also heaps of fire pits for use & drinking water available. We’ll be back!

Very clean and well-organised facilities. The manager and groundskeeper are extremely friendly and forthcoming, as are most of the other occupants. We had a good time here.

Excellent location, nice grounds. We pitched just near the small dam with the pump shed. All you need for a stay in the region. Good and prompt communication with Micheal the owner through-out. Can’t recommend it enough.

We loved our five day stay at Myalls Away. Plenty of space so you’re not squeezed in next to other campers, the water on site was a bonus and daily visits from Halo the geriatric Staffy made us feel right at home. Loved that there was fire pits provided and the grounds were freshly mown. Really close to Neranie a fave lake spot and Seal Rocks. Would camp there again!

Probably the busiest site I've been so far. But it is well maintained. Lots of people can be a bit overwhelming but I always felt good about where I'm. Good amenities, lovely pool, friendly staff. Most of the spots are flat. Getting in town could be challenging on a Sunday. All in all loved the stay

Had a nice time at Peaceful Ponds , good location firewood provided , not far for day trip to beaches , Nice to meet Tim and our dog loved swimming in the pond !

We stayed 2 nights on our trip down south. We werent able to get into Reflections at Seal Rocks so came across this Hipcamp instead and it was exactly what we needed. Great little spot, big open space. Reasonably flat ground and maintained yards. Flys were a bit annoying but certainly didn't dampen the stay. Would recommend.

Great camp at Myall's Away!
Lovely space, quiet area, well shielded from the road.
Fire pits were provided, which was great for our unexpectedly cool summer nights.
Even with several other campers there each night, it never felt cramped or too crowded.
Michael is super friendly, happy to have a chat, and makes himself available to help if needed, while not being intrusive.
Well located from many wonderful lakes and beaches, with Seal Rocks, Smith's Lake and Sandbar only about 15-20 minutes up the road.
I will definitely return to Myall's Away, it was just excellent.
