Amorata Eco Farm is a working sustainable farm with basic camping facilities located in Barkers Vale. We are within easy reach of a number of walking tracks. We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches. Enjoy relaxing relaxing around the campfire in our spacious campsites or enjoy a splash or paddle in the small creek. There is drinking water, a hot shower and a compost toilet available for campers. There are a range of campsites available from the edge of the forest down to creek front sites (4WD only) and in the Pecan orchard. Please check by prior email during the wet season for specific access requirements. Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided, pending there are no fire restrictions. We can supply seasoned firewood at competitive rates. Friendly pets are welcome, we also have dogs on the property.

Located in the heart of the northern rivers, centrally located to Lismore Ballina Lennox and Byron. The property is bordered on one side by the beautiful Pearces Creek which has a number of great swimming holes and idyllic camp spots where you can enjoy a cuppa by the fire. Swimming and fishing can be enjoyed in the creek or take a walk to the top of the hill for a sunset picnic overlooking the border ranges. 20 minutes to Lismore, 20 minutes to Ballina, 25 minutes to Byron Bay, and 15 minutes to Lennox Head. Set up camp along the creek and enjoy the sound of the running water. Watch the kingfishers dive for fish. Try your luck at catching a bass or perch. Have a swim or canoe. Make a fire and get cosy. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. The cows will probably come and say hello (they’re friendly). Why not take a walk up the hill or through the big scrub bush walk at Booyong (3 mins drive away.) You can also go for a surf at some of NSW's most iconic surf spots including Lennox Point and The Pass at Byron bay. If you want to escape the crowds, take your surfboard down to Evans Head (40 mins away). While you're here why not enjoy some of the best local artisan shops, cafes and markets including the famous Bangalow Markets. Or just sit, relax and unwind. Well behaved pets are welcome to camp with you.

Our farm features lush, green rolling hills with a river, creek and dam traversing the property. There are undulating hills with pockets of forest. The campsites are nestled in the groves of trees next to the creek. There's some great swimming spots, or you can go for a bushwalk and do a spot of fossicking on the water's edge. Some parts of our property are 4WD access only, but we also have good camping spots that can accommodate 2WDs. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All located in a beautiful valley, 10 minutes from the luscious surroundings of the Border Ranges national park. The creek camping area is directly on the clean and pristine waters of Warrazambil Creek permanently feeding in directly from the border ranges which are just above. It is a quiet and secluded area with views of the ranges surrounding the valley. Plenty of room for you to get away, or bring the whole family. Kids under 18 are free and pets are welcome as are camp fires (unless we have a fire ban). Collect your own plentiful firewood from the property or let us know if you need firewood. You will need your own water, washing and toilet facilities. All waste must be taken with you.

My friends and I had an amazing time staying at this beautiful camp spot! It’s pretty much the perfect spot.. creekside, plenty of space to enjoy a few lawn games and a great location to everything you want to check out in the local area (Tosha Falls & The Eltham Hotel were some highlights). The hosts Cam and Jess seem like the loveliest people who want their campers to enjoy their time as much as possible. They were very accommodating but also gave us plenty of privacy for us to enjoy our stay. I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking at peaceful time away!

The campsites are lovely and grassy in a beautiful setting next the creek. There’s plenty of birdlife and amazing water dragons in the creek. Sites 1 and 2 are quite close together and in a large open stretch of land. Site 3 is a bit more private and further away from the road. We had a few issues with the neighbour playing loud music early in the morning but Cam and Jess were super responsive and did their best to sort things out and went above and beyond to make things right.

"The Island" is beautiful spot surrounded by a nice strech of the creek. The kids had a great time playing and exploring. A peaceful and quiet spot very close to Tweed Heads, although we didn't encounter another person the entire weekend, just how we like it! We'd go back here again for the tranquility and convenience. Highly recommended for a short stay.

A slice of paradise next to a beautiful flowing creek and deep swim hole. Easy to get to and owner showed us to the spot which was perfectly flat. We had the place to ourselves and it was pure magic having a dip. There is a road and concrete bridge close by and in view but it didn’t bother us as it was opposite direction to the view of the creek and not too many cars. We would definitely return in the future.

Just what we needed! 3 nights at this peaceful little camp right on the banks of the crystal clear rushing creek and a stunning swimming hole. We had special visits from a platypus each afternoon. Everything was well maintained. Campsites are not close together and a bonus is there is only 3 sites so definitely no crowding. We are already planning our next trip back!

Beautiful setting beside the creek. We swam in it the first day in 37 degree heat and watched it swell the next with a lot of rain. Loved it! Cam is great to deal with and would love to stay again. Easy to get to lots of small towns including federal, eltham and clunes. We took in a semi off road 3.3t van and used 4wd in the Ute to get it in and out. Easy as!
