Absolutely amazing location - so close to all the magnificent beaches and supplies if needed. Meredith and the boys were fantastic and they run a well oiled experience. Weekend Trip to "Duck Downs" Snowy Mountains

180 degree views over snowy valley plains with a backdrop of mountains. Wide Horizons a good site for taking this in. Up high, perched on a hillside. Circular site on a slight lean, but rv blocks easily levelled this out. A little windy as would be expected being up on a hill but this dropped with the sun. No shade if that is what you need but a very well maintained site. Short walks along the hillside past the other sites, all well spread out. Good communication and a nice load of wood provided at a cost for the fire pit. Great spot for sundowners and two very friendly visiting white pups 🐶

Loved Glamping at Tama's place. She is a great host and was always very responsive right and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.

6 nights at "Duck Downs" Snowy Mountains

Awesome area. Lots of space, quiet amd peaceful. Its a little dry, but that could have been tobthe season. The owners are easy to talk to and the amount of firewood that was provided with each purchase was way beyond belief. Definatelly would be back for an another visit

6 nights at Kanukadale Forest River Retreat

From the moment you drive in, you feel at home. Greeted by horses, donkeys, and goats, it's a working farm feel nestled among the towering trees. We camped next to the river, which has crystal clear water. Tama and her farmhand were terrific hosts, making us feel at home. Our kids loved being able to roam around and the Pony Play was fantastic. The facilities are excellent, with a hot shower available every day and great cooking facilities in a large barn. Try the hot tub for a relaxing time under the stars!

It was a great camp! Close enough to Jindabyne to be able to explore there throughout the day. Hosts were lovely. Sites were closer than expected but we had it all to ourselves and it was great. Working toilet and absolute incredible views of the valley. Would stay again

Lovely, peaceful location. Fairly private as other campers were out of site. The paddock is quite exposed to the elements, but as long as you have a warm jacket and sufficient tie downs for windy nights, you get to take advantage of the views that come with it. The road to Jindabyne is easy and beautiful scenery all around.

Weekend Trip to Sapphire Coast Dairy-Homestead

We would highly recommend camping at Norm and Narelle’s serene spot on the hill at dairy homestead. We were lucky to be one of two bookings and so get like we had the place to ourselves. Clean, well equipped amenities which were available for use with history well documented. Whilst we didn’t get to meet Norm or Narelle in person they were fantastic with their communication for which we are thankful. We look forward to booking another stay.

Nice little spot right next to the highway but still quiet. We explored most of the Sapphire Coast from here. The long drop toilet is nice and clean and quite quaint. Jodie is really good with her communication and replies to messages within minutes. I particularly liked the vege garden 😀

Loved the access to the creek - take a dip, it’s really nice. Shona came out and welcomed us, which was very nice. Easy access to camp sites. Sites were all flat and easy to peg into. Close to Merimbula if you want beaches and oysters. Drop toilet was good as well, nice and clean. We enjoyed our time here!

Undeveloped 7 acre bush block. Close to the centre of Kalaru and the lagoon. Minutes drive or cycle to mountain biking tracks and beautiful Tathra. Enjoy the sound of the bell birds. If you're lucky, you might see some native Orchids (usually blossoming around mid-November), or pop down to Tathra to watch whales on their migration or taking a break to feed south of Tathra Head. Please note: - This block is undeveloped, bar a short driveway. There are no services at this block (water, power, sewage, internet, waste collection etc.). It is the responsibility of campers to collect and remove their own waste. Info on the nearest waste facilities will be provided prior to check in. - Ticks are present on this block. Lotsa Trees Mountain Escape

"Duck Downs" Snowy Mountains

T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. Telstra 4G coverage on the property, limited Optus coverage.

Pitch your tent or park your campertrailer in the native bushland with the pristine Numeralla River as your boundary fence. This 3000 acre property is located close to Nimmitabel and not too far from Cooma. Try your hand at trout fishing and enjoy endless tracks for bushwalking and observing the native wildlife. Wander along the river banks just enjoying the serenity of the location and witness platypus feeding, water dragons sunning themselves and the brown trout fly feeding and one of Australia's beautiful but lesser known native rodents, Rakali (intelligent semi aquatic water rat who's scientific name translates to golden -bellied water mouse). One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP . There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.

Kanukadale is a working Nature Retreat Sanctuary, so additional to BYO campsites, we also offer our Bell Tents when the retreats are not running. Here at Kanukadale, you will share the space with very friendly horses, ponies, miniature goats and our donkey. The property is child friendly as the boundary, river and paddocks are well fenced. You are welcome to bring your own horses and dogs. Dogs must stay on a lead whilst on the property and responsible pet ownership is essential here, as is a respectful attitude towards all the other sentient beings on the property. We do not allow generators here. There is lots to do in the area with heaps of nature immersion. East Gippsland is one of the most bio-diverse areas on mainland Australia. You can explore rare, Old Growth forest, historic gold mines, climb to the peak of Mt Ellery and walk through the Errinundra Plateau. Mountain bike riding, horseriding, 4wd touring and bushwalking is awesome in this area. There is a camp kitchen with a communal fridge, microwave, stove and electricity. There is also a composting toilet and hot shower facilities. There is free wifi. THERE ARE NO SHOPS OR FUEL OR MOBILE RECEPTION. WIFI CALLING WORKS IF YOU HAVE THAT OPTION. THE CLOSEST TOWN IS 50 KM TO DELEGATE OR 70KM TO ORBOST. YOU NEED TO COME COMPLETELY PREPARED OR IT’S A LONG DRIVE TO TOWN. THERE IS A PUBLIC PHONE BOX UP THE ROAD.

A haven for many species of birds and wildlife, sea and wedge tail eagles nesting close by a bird watchers and canoeists paradise, also many species of fish so if you want to wet a line a Victorian fishing licence is needed, the river has a 5 knot speed limit from the campsite to Gypsy Point, if your more into bushwalking or sightseeing there are several national parks within a 30 minute drive or boat trip, or just have a swim, chill, relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. one site has small tinny access to the river and the other is good for a 20 ft boat, can accommodate up to 10 at one site and 5 at the other, camping and fires are only allowed in designated areas, bring your own firewood or it can be supplied for $25 per wheelbarrow when booking in, at both sites you cannot have fires or camp in fenced off river frontage, you will have to provide your own camp toilet, shower, etc and take all waste away when you leave, I can arrange if needed by prior notice site toilet, bulk firewood, launching of boat, etc. No firewood collection, motorbike riding, shooting or 4x4ing on site, some pets on leash may be allowed by prior arrangement, if having trouble booking send message cheers.
