With the secluded bush surroundings and the quiet, it's hard to believe you're only an hour away from Sydney. You might even see a Koala There is strictly no accomodation in the Cabin. The camp features a camping toilet and bathing facilities, gas bbq, a kitchen washing area, NO FRIDGE, a recreation space and dining table when the weather is bad. All you need to do is roll out your swag. Campers are encouraged to take their rubbish with them. There is access to power for campervans/caravans. Warm your toes at the outdoor fireplace whilst you chat with friends. (Please bring own firewood). You will be a 10 minute drive from the beautiful Dharawal National Park which has wonderful swimming holes and bush walks. The site is 15 minutes drive from Campbelltown, which offers all amenities of a large metropolitan city.

Accessible only by boat, this secluded and lovingly decorated house at Bar Point on the Hawkesbury River, (aka Deerubbin,) is only an hour from the Sydney CBD. This beautiful Artists retreat is surrounded by nature. You don't have to be an artist to stay with us, but we do offer free boat transfers for artists and musicians. You will arrive by boat and soak up the serenity. Large deck with river views. Located on the waterfront on the Eastern side of Bar Point. Our custom-designed Finnish sauna offers a unique and holistic experience, the combination of heat, dimmed lights, and the smell of cedar or essential oils creates a healing ambience that is both invigorating and comforting. The house is full of Art, books, games, and DVDs, there is also the 'yoga deck' behind the house with even more expansive views of the river - a perfect place to do some morning meditation or enjoy a bowl of pasta as the sun goes down, highlighting the orange of the sandstone cliffs across the river. Surrounded by National Parks and completely free of cars and traffic, this is a beautiful little retreat, perfect for a family or a group of friends to meet up and re centre. At Bar Point there are no shops or cafes so you must bring everything you need with you, basic pantry staples such as salt, pepper, cooking oil etc are provided. Kayaks, fishing poles and crab pots provided. Our own private residence is a separate apartment upstairs, there are no shared walls or internal stairs and you will have your own private entrance, however as it is a large, old wooden house you may at times hear us moving about upstairs, naturally we try to be as quiet as possible when we have guests visiting. We will leave you entirely to yourselves but if you do need any help or information or even a little guided walking tour of the locality we are very happy to accommodate you. Our sauna deck is a shared area which guests are welcome to use, heating the sauna takes an hour or two, so just let us know and we will get it all ready for you with fresh towels, scented oils and branches of freshly cut lavender or wormwood to create a beautiful ambience.

The Little Creek Retreat is conveniently located 1km north of Lithgow town centre at the end of the road nestled at the bottom of the valley near a pretty little creek. It sits next to the heritage state mine which you may view and have tours on the weekend. We have opened 2 cozy sites with outdoor seating and cooking area fire pit for up to 6 people. Feel free to pet our miniature goats. They are very friendly. Please ask before feeding them! Camping toilets are available for use. Local kangaroos sometimes drop by. Plenty of wildlife with kookaburras, parrots, currawongs and even a shy wombat. Mini goats are sometimes on the property as well. There are many amazing local bush walks and plenty of fascinating history and things to do. Space for one car, tent, caravan or trailer 10m x 4m wide clear flat area with easy access next to outdoor seating. For larger vehicles book site 2. 2 minute drive to cafes and shops and town centre, bus stop is 100m, train station 800m. We are conveniently close to town. Lithgow tourism centre has plenty of information and activities to do. There are scenic lookouts, climbing, canyoning, bike trails or simply relax with great eateries and historical sites. Cooking fires are permitted when there are no RFS bans in place. Note: there is no water on the property so you will need to allow enough to ensure you have completely extinguished your fire before you depart. You may collect water from the creek. It is ok to collect fallen kindling, no chain sawing of trees. Wood is provided free of charge for small fires only. If you use the kindling please play if forward and collect for the next person. If you need more wood simply message me. There is a camping toilet with toilet paper and hand sanitizer supplied. Well behaved pets are welcome and we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead if they are likely to adventure too far from your site and disturb the local wildlife or other campers. No cats as there are many native birds. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. If you are interested in free accommodation, we are open to exchange labour as they is always plenty to do on the farm.

Such a convenient spot for some amazing walks and POi…. great little set up areas with toilets at each spot. Basic but all you need, perfect for my little van, had a fire, a bbq… great night Geoff was a hive of knowledge… if we went to all Gis paces of recommendation we would have had to stay there a month🤣😂😂

Lovely place, secluded at the edge of the town. Very peaceful and relaxing, I wish I had more time to stay an extra night and explore the area. Woke up to a family of kangaroos outside the van. Highly recommend it. Geoff is really friendly and helpful too, recommend loads to do in the area.

Really nice quiet spot with total privacy. We’re a 13+ metre rig and had no problem getting in and out. Nice and level, great firepit setup and we appreciated the fire being ready to go (as well as the pack of marshmallows!) Felt safe for our dogs too with the river surrounding three sides and a fenced off entry section. We all loved it. If you are a long setup, make sure you don’t miss the entrance gate as it’s very tough to turn around further down the road. Don’t worry about the sign that says unsuitable for caravans, that applies to the dirt section beyond this property.

We had a lovely time camping at Katie’s property. Katie and her family were very accommodating and our kids loved playing together on the equipment and helping feed the horses in the morning. It was a bonus having a shower and toilet at the property too. For anyone looking for a safe place to stay with a great family atmosphere, this place is what you are looking for. Our first time camping with the kids and we had a great time. The cabin with drinking water and toilet/shower was very convenient and very useful for storing things. Outdoor pizza oven was a big success. Was great to find a camp site so close to Sydney where we could also take our dogs. A short drive to the national park where we enjoyed hiking with the kids to the Minerva Pool.

Such a quiet place, the cabin was handy and had games, a ping pong table, electricity, a shower, toilet, fire pit, outdoor wood stove and hot water. Plenty of space for two tents, a swag and a 3x3m gazebo, 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog. The owner even come down to say hello and then left us alone for the rest of our trip. Was close enough to major shops but far enough away that you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hosts were so lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. We had the best few days here, so peaceful and spacious! The location was amazing, so close to Sydney and the blue mountains. Absolutely beautiful outlook, the property was so pretty! The grass campsite was great, no dirt was brought into the van. The kids had access to a playground, trampoline and cubby house. The hosts children were super friendly and took our girls around the property, they bathed a horse and went on the buggy around feeding the animals. I would 100% recommend this camp to anyone. It was absolutely beautiful, look no further, book in here!

A truly peaceful spot. Very secluded & quiet just the way we like it. Appreciated the fire being ready to go with wood supplied & the surprise marshmallows were a treat. Easy drive through access for vans. Though we heard splashing on approach, the elusive Platypus managed to evade us, however we did enjoy sitting on the chairs provided trying to spot them. Dane was easy to communicate with & very accommodating. We will definitely be returning to Platypus Bend again. Highly recommend.

We had the best long weekend here. Our group of 10 friends plus a Labrador puppy enjoyed the super well setup campsite with a well organised campfire area and extra smooth and flat camping area. The hut with power, running (hot) water, clean compost toilet, a gas bbq, pizza oven, ping pong table and cooking basics made life super comfortable and easy and David was lovely too. This is probably our favourite campsite ever.
