The Little Creek Retreat is conveniently located 1km north of Lithgow town centre at the end of the road nestled at the bottom of the valley near a pretty little creek. It sits next to the heritage state mine which you may view and have tours on the weekend.
We have opened 2 cozy sites with outdoor seating and cooking area fire pit with free firewood for up to 6 people. Feel free to pet our miniature goats. They are very friendly. Please ask before feeding them!
Camping toilets are available for use.
Local kangaroos sometimes drop by. Plenty of wildlife with kookaburras, parrots, currawongs and even a shy wombat. Mini goats are sometimes on the property as well.
There are many amazing local bush walks and plenty of fascinating history and things to do.
Space for one car, tent, caravan or trailer 10m x 4m wide clear flat area with easy access next to outdoor seating and fire pit. For larger vehicles book site 2.
2 minute drive to cafes and shops and town centre, bus stop is 100m, train station 800m. We are conveniently close to town.
Lithgow tourism centre has plenty of information and activities to do. There are scenic lookouts, climbing, canyoning, bike trails or simply relax with great eateries and historical sites.
Fires are permitted when there are no RFS bans in place.
Note: there is no water on the property so you will need to allow enough to ensure you have completely extinguished your fire before you depart. You may collect water from the creek.
It is ok to collect fallen kindling, no chain sawing of trees. Wood is provided free of charge for small fires only. If you use the kindling please play if forward and collect for the next person. If you need more wood simply message me.
There is a camping toilet with toilet paper and hand sanitizer supplied.
Well behaved pets are welcome and we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead if they are likely to adventure too far from your site and disturb the local wildlife or other campers. No cats as there are many native birds.
Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave.
If you are interested in free accommodation, we are open to exchange labour as they is always plenty to do on the farm.
