Our campground is on my family’s dairy farm that has been in the family since 1904. I’m the 4th generation on the farm and work alongside my parents and my husband operating the family business of milking cows. The campsite is on a private area of flat ground right beside the Oxley River with views of Mt Warning. We are excited to share our piece of paradise with others. We DO have a composting toilet but DON’T have any shower facilities. Although the creek is very close by we advise you bring your own drinking water. We are pleased to provide a gravelled campfire area along with a gorgeous outdoor setting that seats 8. Our campground provides a unique private camping opportunity. Once you book whether it is for a group of one or 25 no one else can book the site. The site is not visible from the road. Perfect for a relaxing getaway that brings you close to nature and connecting with friends. As we are a working farm, unfortunately, we cannot allow pets.

Our Facebook page is “Pringy’s Farm Balnagask” for the latest news, activities and new ventures. Pringy’s Farm “Balnagask” is located 20 kilometres east of Moree, on the banks of the Mehi river. Escape off the grid and enjoy the peace and quiet the country has to offer. Our farm features beautifully manicured grass camping sites (as well as more natural sites) an abundance of wildlife, native birds and lots of fun farm animals. You can relax around your campfire in the evening, enjoy a special sunset, spectacular star gazing or some interesting nocturnal wildlife. The farm is almost 200 acres which features sustainable pastures and plenty of animals to see and feed such as miniature goats, a donkey, Texas Longhorn cattle, chooks, rabbits, sheep and many more depending on the season and what is happening on the farm. We are happy to introduce you to the animals and share some information about them. We have three crazy Tenterfield Terriers; Maggie, Bart and Beagle who will occasionally visit you for a cuddle or a sit by the fire. Your socialised pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times and campers must clean up after their pets. What we offer..... We offer animal spotting night tours (see Extras or ask your host) OR adopt and care for the farms guinea pig and rabbits for the duration of your stay. That’s if your parents agree!!! Don’t miss the opportunity to try and purchase some unique handmade “Eurah” soap (indigenous ingredient) made on site by Belinda. Farm produce is available when in season and abundance, this may include: - organic free-range eggs, fruit, vegetables and herbs. Mango Lodge is a totally wheelchair accessible timber cabin which has an outdoor bath. 24 hour security access to your own private campsite. Free wifi, hot showers, flushing toilets, fully equipped bush kitchen and laundry. We have a designated area for dog lovers called Dogs Corner. There is a lovely paddock for the dogs to take in the country atmosphere and located right next to the 40 acre nature reserve with 4kms of walking trails, what better way to Escape, Relax and Unwind. 69 species of birds have been identified on the property to date. We also provide dog minding services! Photo updates supplied. Cost is $50 per day (add to your booking). All you need to do is supply your dog bed and food. Recently our guests enjoyed a trip to Fraser Island and were very impressed with the service provided. So if you love your fur baby and you still want to have a holiday experience, just come and stay here and we can enhance your stay by giving your fur babies a holiday too. You may be moved to a different site if your chosen site is too wet. We use Good Riddance products for the midges & mozzies during summer because it works, its non toxic + deet free. We have dry firewood (hardwood) available on the verandah for $15/15kg crate. There are plenty of sites to choose from. One vehicle = 1 site - more than 1 vehicle can fit on any of the sites.

The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay. All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area. THIS IS THE AUSSIE BUSH so please if you cant handle smells and snakes, try the HYATT in NOOSA!

Weekend Trip to Shady Acres

These hosts were amazing! Explained everything to us as we arrived, had firewood available to purchase and use in the permanent and portable fire pits available onsite. Toilets were well stocked with quality toilet paper, the drop toilets were kept clean. Property was well maintained and plenty of things for the kids to do around the dam. Kids loved the kayaks and pontoon. There were beautiful Water Lillie’s blooming also. Our friends stayed in the onsite van, which was clean, comfortable (unheard of for a caravan bed!), and well stocked. This property was perfect for our Easter getaway. There were other people but not too close together. They had cleared some areas ready for hip campers to park up. We had our dogs with us, who we kept on leash. Thanks guys! Hope to be back.

Loved the nature immersion in this spot. Amazing birdlife and two very friendly adorable chickens walking round. The campervan ‘Delilah’ was very cozy and comfortable. We had a nice time exploring the grounds and having a drink down by the creek. Great spot to use as a base to explore the bermagui/Tilba areas. Shanti and Sol were excellent hosts - very accommodating and check in was very easy (even at night time). Couldn’t recommend this spot enough.

3 nights at Siam Sanctuary

We really enjoyed our stay at Siam Sanctuary. We loved “Delilah” the retro caravan and were grateful for the fresh water and gas stove. After a couple of weeks of rough camping Delilah was a real treat. The camp is so peaceful and has very relaxed vibes. The giant swing is a lot of fun for all ages and we enjoyed exploring the creek track in the evenings. It is a perfect location to get to Camel Rock for a surf, into Bermagui for lunch, explore the cute galleries at Cobargo and nip to Mystery Bay for an evening dip. I would definitely recommend a stay here and will definitely come back again. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to The Old Butter Factory

We loved staying at Tracys place. It was so peaceful and beautiful & Tracy was super friendly & easygoing. Would definitely recommend & can't wait to stay again next time we're in the area.

Where to go

New South Wales

New South Wales has a bit of everything that makes Australia such a great place to camp. Hipcampers can choose from snow-covered mountains, beaches, rainforest, and Outback plains—you can always find a good camping spot in NSW.

Queensland

Australia’s favourite place to escape the cold, the white-sand beaches north and south of Brisbane in southeast Queensland are warm enough to swim in all year-round. It may be too wet in summer to camp comfortably in the rainforest of Cairns, the Tropical North, and along the Great Barrier Reef, but winter is the best time to swim in the sea. The Outback, too, is at its best in the cooler months.

South Australia

A wild, dramatic, and mostly deserted coastline, South Australia’s rugged outback ranges and fantastic wine are just a few reasons to pitch a tent or park your caravan here. It may not always be swimming weather (the ocean waters are cold), but the beach camping here is some of the best in Australia.

Tasmania

Any time's a good time to visit Tasmania, a place that will delight intrepid Hipcampers with its wild and remote national parks and camping sites. You'll need a warm sleeping bag and good wet weather gear, as it can snow on the peaks near Hobart even in summer. But don't let a little dampness put you off, because it rains here all the time, which is why the World Heritage wilderness areas are so beautifully lush.

Victoria

Just down the road a bit from Melbourne, Victoria’s Great Ocean Road is a bucket-list road trip that lives up to the hype, with some of the best coastal camping areas around. Hiking and camping in the Grampians is good year-round, although the snow-covered high country peaks and the east coast national parks are best saved for the warmer months.

Western Australia

Western Australia is huge, so don’t expect to see it all in a couple of weeks. Let the weather be your guide and explore the coastal national parks, forests, wineries, and beaches south of Perth during the hot, dry summer, then head north to Broome and the Kimberley for a 4WD camping adventure in winter, when it rarely rains.

Northern Territory

When the wintertime chills hit the south, the Northern Territory is the place to be, especially if you’re fond of campervan road trips. The deserts of the Red Centre offer warm, fly-free days and cold nights ideal for gathering around the campfire. Kakadu National Park and the Top End are hot and dry—perfect for swimming.
