The campsite offers a peaceful retreat with scenic views of surrounding hills, making it a great base for exploring the Huon Valley and nearby attractions. The site is described as spacious and quiet, with friendly hosts and roaming animals like geese and chickens adding to the charm. While many reviews highlight the host's welcoming nature and the site's convenient location, a few mention basic amenities such as a portaloo and outdoor shower, which may not suit everyone's preference. Overall, it seems like an inviting spot for those seeking simplicity and tranquility.

It was okay
The site was convenient for visiting Huonville and sarounds. If you're self contained it's fine, but the toilet (portaloo) and shower (camp shower) were not very practicable. The host was friendly and greeted us with info re what was on around the area. There were piles of rubbish (junk or scrap) that didn't help the appearance of the paddock and one aggressive goose that was harassing anyone that walked near it. For $36 (no power or water) I wouldn't recommend it.

Lovely quiet spot with basic but very adequate facilities. Easy to find and get our van into. The host was very friendly and accomodating.

The location on the edge of Ranelagh was great for both going in to Hobart and for doing excursions down the Huon valley and into the mountains. It is a moderate-sized paddock on the edge of the village, easy access and flat ground easy to camp on. Nice views to hills on the horizon. The geese and chickens were fun
