Mellow community vibes, kayaks, stargazing, outdoor kitchen, Saturday bonfire nights, and more for wilderness nature and bug-loving mountain going adventure seekers keen to discover the Eastern Sierra.
Please note: September 9th: Mono County issued a temporary urgency
ordinance prohibiting open fires (campfires, bonfires, fire pits) on private properties, such as our camp, in light of high fire danger around CA. The propane and charcoal BBQs are still allowed. The Sierra Stream comes with its private charcoal bbq as well as complimentary charcoal.
Warm greetings to you from our piece of paradise! This is a new reality we are all getting used to, please be kind and mindful while at the camp and adventuring in the area, respecting other’s space and maintaining the safe six-foot distance. We are unsure what official COVID-19 guidelines may be at the time of your visit but we will just mirror them. Things have, and still may change daily. Please be flexible, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
We understand the concerns around the virus and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests and staff:
- All restrooms are cleaned several times a day and all surfaces are disinfected. Please note, to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed, our restrooms are closed to guests staying in their own RVs or our rental campers. Our public restrooms are only available to guests staying at tent sites, in vans/small trailers without a bathroom, and in the Sierra Stream rental trailer.
- Hand soaps, sanitizers, and disinfectants are available in all common areas for regular use.
- The use of some of our amenities (such as laundry) will be limited or not available.
- Some normally provided items that cannot be wiped down (such as aluminium foil) will be removed.
- As per May 1st order, the use of facial coverings while in public in Mono County and interacting with people outside of your household is required, in effect through the end of the COVID-19 pandemic emergency declaration. Please come prepared. We will ask you to wear masks/face coverings when walking around the camp but not when at your site.
- Please be respectful of the maximum occupancy, as stated in the listing. In order to lower the risk of transmission, we’re limiting the amount of guests at the camping sites. Infants, children, and adults all count as one.
- Consider getting all your supplies before coming to our community.
Now more than ever it is important to spend time connecting in the great outdoors and are ready to share campfires, starry nights, and our serene area with you. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. It is a place where social distancing happens naturally. This is a great opportunity to be together in Nature and not to be isolated in our homes. Together (from a safe distance) we will remain healthy, positive, and strong!
Please read through the entire listing to find out more about the Sierra Stream Camper and our place. Can't wait to hear from you and to be part of your adventures in the Sierra!
The Sierra Stream camper, our latest seriously cool Airstream remodel, is designed for a nature-loving couple, but could also accommodate a family with a baby co-sleeping with parents. There's a space for a 2-person tent that can be pitched outside the trailer for a nominal fee, if there are additional two people keen on joining you (so up to four guests in total can stay here: two in the trailer and further two tent camping outside), please ask.
Just steps away from the lake, the Sierra Stream features a queen size bed with scenic mountain backdrop painted by Veronika and woodwork created by our friend Peter. A full size farmhouse sink, fireplace, library, spectacular view of the mountains and the lake, induction stove, Chemex coffee maker, cozy seating/dining area and hammock are just a few of our favorite features. Fridge, microwave and toaster are also part of the rental. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, soap, and all the typical kitchenware. An "oh so cozy" down comforter, cotton sheets, bath towels, and dish towels are all provided.
Even though Sierra Stream offers many "luxuries", it DOES NOT have a toilet or shower. We wanted you to enjoy an open layout with tons of space and close proximity to the lake (this camper is located the closest to the shore). Including the shower/toilet would require hooking this camper up to septic, which wouldn't be possible at the current spot. We believe the location and the view you'll be getting are worth a little walk to our immaculate communal bathrooms (about 100 yards away) stocked with qtips, razors, cotton balls, lotions and female sanitary products.
The camper has a wifi, cooling system, and an outside seating area with fire pit, barbecue and ultra cool camp stove. We also provide one-use supply of charcoal briquettes, to get you set up for your grilling and outdoor entertaining, and you can buy locally grown firewood at our office. So, all you really need to bring is some clothing and food. Pretty much everything else is covered. We have two kayaks, SUP and paddle boat you can use for free on the reservoir.
The rate includes space rent, propane, wifi, one parking spot as well as 12% Mono County occupancy tax (TOT). There's an additional flat rate for optional tent camping (regardless if 1 or 2 people camp) - please set the number of campers to three and let us know if 3 or 4 people will be coming to stay. We can also accommodate an extra car, if needed, in our overflow parking. Please message us prior to booking with dates you're hoping to stay with us, so we can enable the "Extra Vehicle Fee" option for you.
We're a husband and wife team and this is our adopted home - a small RV Park & Campground located directly on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive, we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.
It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a camper as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lay in one of our hammocks and read for three days. For the more adventurous, we offer a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards and so much more. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is located on a major bird migration route.
Please note that the reservoir is lower this summer (water level changes based on the winter snowpack) and swimming isn't currently available. We recommend the nearby Twin Lakes just off Bridgeport if you would like to go for a swim. We still get awesome sunsets and sunrises over the Sawtooth Ridge though!
We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guest to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead. If you come to stay with us at the weekend, you'll be welcome to join us around the campfire and connect with fellow campers (we have fires on most Saturdays, s'mores are on us!)
Did we mention that we love dogs? You will see them around the camp. They're strictly not allowed in this camper but we could possibly accommodate one mellow dog if s/he stays with your friends tent camping outside the Airstream. Please keep your pup on leash when at the camp and pick up after him/her. Thank you in advance for your consideration. With dog wash and off-leash dog beach, the adventure pup will be a happy camper here!
We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.
Please note, our minimum stay requirements in the Sierra Stream camper varies through the season, based on remaining available dates and our enhanced cleaning schedule, we are open to 2-night stays on weekdays, please ask. We ask for 5 nights over the 4th of July weekend - July 1st-6th (and won't have arrivals or departures on July 3rd & 4th).
Occasionally, we may be able to relax the minimum at short notice (within a week or so prior to the date) and based on availability, please ask.

Had a lovely time at Paradise Shores' newest addition. This airstream is so cool and surprisingly spacious.
The airstream sleeps two (my mom and sister, in this case), but Veronika was fine with me pitching a tent in front. It's a pretty big space. There's no bathroom in this one but the communal bathrooms are close by.
You also get:
- beach front spot
- private chiminea
- 3 outdoor chairs
- picnic table
- all dish and cookware you could ever need (including coffee maker, hot plate, oven, fridge)
This listing is also 10 minutes away from Travertine Hot Springs and an hour from Yosemite. Great home base!
Paradise Shores is truly paradise. Our stay was so cozy and calm. The people camping were all like-minded, down to earth and friendly. Veronika attracts an amazing group, making for a very special ora. Highly recommend retreating to her site and can’t wait to visit again.
Staying in the Sierra Stream was fantastic! We had a great view of the lake and mountains, our own campfire as well as a community fire where we got to know some of the other campers, and the inside of the camper was clean and tidy with great accommodations. Prior to our visit, Veronika was amazing with communication and answering any questions I had. She provided a lot of information and suggestions for the area as well. Thanks Paradise Shores for a great stay!
My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Veronika's camper! The scenery was stunning, and the camper itself was so adorable and comfy - it was just as fun coming home at night as it was getting out and exploring during the day. The campsite itself is also great - the communal showers and bathrooms were super tidy, and the staff members we met were very kind and helpful. Veronika was also quick and detailed in her communications leading up to our arrival.
We were incredibly sad to have to leave, but already talking about making a return trip!
We had an amazing time in the camper, location is awesome, and everything was perfectly set up for us.
Veronica and the staff we're super nice and helpful explaining everything we have to see around.
Exactly what we hoped for
Paradise Shores Camps was so lovely! Great location in a quiet area just outside Bridgeport. The airstream had everything we needed - we were so comfortable. And the camp hosts Kelli and Charlie were the BEST! So friendly and helpful with hiking tips and making us feel welcome. We're already planning a trip back this fall!
We had such a great time! The camper was amazing--clean, cooking supplies, comfy bed, a cooling unit, and an adorable nook. Bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever experienced at a campsite and shower pressure was great.
