Lirio Cottage is named for the lily pads in the pond just steps away. Nestled under a majestic Valley Oak; this rustic, but civilized, canvas cabin, complete with running hot water, shower and bath allows for magnificent views in every direction. As you awake in the morning, the rising sun warms you as the songs of the Blue birds, Red wing blackbirds, Juncos and Dove gently fill the air. By mid-day, the 200 year old oak gives shade and perch to the Red tail hawk and young Bald Eagles, who keep watch over the open range. By sunset, the cattle graze to your west and shadows fall over the vineyards and open prairie. As the moon rises, one by one a chorus of frogs sings out; joined by a Great Horned Owl and coyotes in the distance.
Family owned, the Enney Ranch is an 850 acres cattle and grain ranch situated on a ridge over looking the "wine country" of Paso Robles. Sit back and enjoy the vast open space; the peace; the quiet serenity of the Salinas Valley back country. Or, if you're looking for more cultured pursuits, wine tasting at one of the award winning Pleasant Valley Wine trail wineries is just minutes away. Just make sure you're back by sunset to enjoy the most spectacular views of the day.

My sister and I had the most incredible stay at the cottage on Enney's Ranch! Where to start... well to begin with, the 1.5 mile drive up a dirt road to the property on the hill was incredible, with views of vineyards and rolling hills. We were then greeted by the host, Kenneth. He was so warm and friendly right of the bat! When we inquired, he gave us a bit of history about the property and how he ended up there, which was all very interesting! Then he gave us a brief tour of the cottage and the amenities, which included an ice chest filled with a bucket of ice and two wine glasses- perfect for the bottle of Tobin James we picked up on our way to the property! We enjoyed our wine and snacks on the patio, a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the views. Shortly after, the two dogs, Bandit and Blue, came down to hang with us and were SO well behaved! They watched us prep our dinner and snacks and never once tried to sneak any for themselves. At sunrise, we took a walk up past the main house, to a hilltop with 360 degree views of rolling hills, Oak Trees and Vineyards. We met Kenneth, his two kids and his friend up there and had a lovely chat with them before they left us on our own to enjoy the sunset. We cooked dinner around the campfire, with firewood provided by Kenneth and enjoyed the vast amount of stars that are visible at night. In the morning we were greeted by an incredible sunrise, with beautiful light filtering in through the windows. A highlight of the cottage was the semi-outdoor tub. A not to miss feature for sure! The cabin was well stocked with towels, cooking utensils, coffee, french press and so on. I highly recommend booking a stay here. You will leave wanting to go back again for sure!
Kenney's is a wonderful host who has created an extraordinary place. The cabin was beautiful and had all the amenities (including the amazing bathtub) and a great view. It was great to talk to Kenney and hear about the ranch and his history. I'd absolutely recommend staying at this peaceful and welcoming place. (The only surprise was that it was closer to the main house than the pictures make it seem - still extremely private, but not totally removed).
The tent cabin at Solana Farms makes for a great base camp to explore all that Paso Robles wine country has to offer. Set well back from the main road, it provides comfortable, pet-friendly accomodations for your family getaway. Host Kenney Enney and his two four-legged companions make sure you have all the necessities you need to make your stay at Solana Farms a memorable one. Just a short drive into town, and minutes away from buzzy Paso Robles, Solana Farms is the ideal location to disconnect and unwind. But with so much natural beauty around the farm, you may never want to leave. We hope to be back soon!!
Cannot say enough good things about the Lirio Cottage on Enney's Ranch. From the clarity of directions and details about the space, to the surprise of how awe inspiring it truly was, the experience was top notch. Somehow, Lirio Cottage and the surrounding ranch are even more beautiful than it is in the stellar pictures! Not even sure how that's possible, but it's true. Our pup had an awesome time playing with Kenney's friendly dogs on the ranch, as did we: one pooch was our tour guide on a peaceful hike through the rolling yellow hills of the ranch. As excited as we were to explore the wineries of Paso Robles, we were more stoked to come home to Enney Ranch - to sit outside on the deck, enjoy the coolest bathroom of all time, and look at the stars. Thanks to Kenney for being such a welcoming host and for making/sharing this place.
My hubby and I loved our stay at the Lirio Cottage on Enney's Ranch. Our pup also had a great time playing with the owner's dogs Bandit and Blue. The owner, Kenneth, was very personable and friendly. The cottage is spacious and comes with cooking stove, utensils and linens, even extra blankets for chilly mornings. We cooked each night (we brought our own camping stove). We sat on the deck and watched the beautiful sunset with our glass of wine and dinner. In the morning, the dogs joined us for our breakfast! We hiked the canyons during the day and went wine tasting to Paso Robles which is only about 20 min drive. Our highlight was the amazing view and the semi-outdoor large bathtub. What a special place and we can't wait to come back to the ranch. Kenneth also has a tent site on the ranch with air mattress, stove, sitting area and private shower and toilet - would love to stay here next time!
We had a really wonderful stay at the cottage, and Kenneth was the best host! He was very kind and thoughtful- and the property was just lovely. Very quiet and restful, and the views were amazing! We would definitely recommend the cottage.
Thanks so much Kenney!
