I had a lovely weekend stay at Silo Side. Gretchen was a wonderful host; her communication was always friendly, prompt, and helpful. The place is easy to find. We enjoyed the A-frame cabin, the fire pit, and the beautiful apple trees growing on the property. The creek behind the cabin offers a nice, quiet soundtrack. Our hosts were incredibly thoughtful: they mowed paths in the grass around the property for my dog & I to walk through, and even brought us some fresh-picked blueberries. I would love to return in the future, especially sometime in the winter to see the cosy A-frame in the snow. Thank you Gretchen for your hospitality!
An off-grid oasis in central vt
Gretchen and Ian were incredible hosts. We were fortunate to spend some time with these two on their incredibly gorgeous, well kept and private property. Views of the distant mountains over their barn make the perfect setting for this little A-Frame in the woods. We shared stories over beers and learned all about their home and land. They provided us with freshly picked green beans and berries right from their garden and yard! A great campsite and even better hosts!
The perfect getaway!
Our stay at Siloside was nothing short of spectacular. The aesthetics of the quaint A-frame, the magnificent mountain views, the breathtaking sight of the Milky Way next to a warm campfire, and the genuine hospitality received from Gretchen and Ian, was truly something special. We are very much looking forward to another stay!
The a-frame home is a very impressive, cosy tiny home, made with beautiful wood and is decorated super tastefully. It’s like your in a time-capsule that brings you back to the 1900’s. The stove in the middle functions well and the lighting is very romantic. Go there!!
