We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin at Post Oak RV. The park is located about 15 minutes from Waco, so we went antique shopping and visited Magnolia Market, which is a MUST do if you are in Waco. After an incredible latte from a coffee shop called Pinewood, we headed to our cabin. There were few guests staying in cabins and RVs that we enjoyed visiting with, but we had plenty of privacy when we wanted it! The cabins are super clean and cozy, stocked with everything we needed, but most importantly air conditioning. Camping in Texas is no joke. We enjoyed the hiking trails that James set up, and we found a great spot next to our cabin to set up our hammocks. James' wife has taken time to plant some beautiful flowers and a garden next to the cabin, and we enjoyed looking at everything she had growing. The owners were incredibly kind and are a part of a homesteading community right down the road. At their recommendation, we checked out Homestead Heritage and were so glad that we did. We got to see blacksmiths working in their shop, woodworkers, basket weavers, and so many more people that were skilled in trades that you rarely get to see up close. We had some of the BEST homemade ice cream and walked the trails on the homestead. If you are looking to connect with nature and sleep in a cozy, cool cabin; then Post Oak is for you!

We stayed in Cabin 2 on the left! The bed is SO comfy and the linens/pillows are luxurious!James and his wife are a part of a homesteading community down the road. They had a little garden next to the cabin. We found a great spot right next to the cabin to set up our hammocks.

Perfect stay. The host sent detailed instructions ahead of our arrival that answered every question we could have possibly had. We didn't get to our cabin until late in the evening after a long day at the nearby BSR surf park and were so relieved to find that the cabin was clean, well-stocked, and even better than the pictures. The AC was cold, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the bed was so comfortable that we almost slept through our 7am session at BSR the following morning. The only complaint we had was that we weren't able to spend more time on the property and take advantage of the surrounding woods which looked like a prime place to throw up our hammock. Would gladly stay here again.

I surprised my husband with a Valentines Day getaway to this cabin. It was close to where we lived but got us away from the kids and we enjoyed every bit of it. The bed and towels were so clean and the room was very spacious and homey! I work for Magnolia, and will be telling people who ask for recommendations about this place. 5stars!

What a great experience! Far exceeded our expectations. Clean room, extremely comfortable bed and overly generous hosts. I feel like we discovered a diamond in the rough, we will definitely be returning. 5 stars and two thumbs up!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And will definitely stay again if we’re ever back down that way. The cabin is perfect for 2, but looks like it can accommodate 4 with the use of the sofa. It’s only a short 15 - 20 minute drive to Waco (depending on ‘traffic’), but is far enough away that it feels like a retreat from the hustle and bustle. We spent a lot of time enjoying the breeze from the shade of the porch. The cabins are located in an RV park, but we hardly saw anyone the whole week we were there. Regarding the interior, there’s a very comfortable bed & a sofa in the main living space and a table for 4 in the kitchen nook, which is well stocked with plates, bowls, flatware, a pot, a pan, a hot plate, a toaster, coffee mugs, coffee maker (and coffee pods), a microwave, a mini-fridge. There are even 2 shared grills outside - one between cabin 1 & 2 and one in the shaded area next to cabin 4. They’ve thought of pretty much everything for guests that want to eat on-site. The restroom is an efficient use of space with a shower, sink and toilet. Everything is spotlessly clean. There’s a very peaceful feel to the place. Would highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

The cabin was clean and we felt right at home. We loved sitting out on the porch by the flowers in the morning and it was nice to come back to a comfortable bed each night. We didn’t expect little details like the snacks on the counter, hairdryer and coupon book for Waco restaurants and attractions. All came in handy! Plus our host was very responsive, friendly and welcoming. It was great to have the cabin experience while being just a short drive from town. Great experience here!

The cabin was very comfortable and had more amenities than i expected (soap, coffee, etc). The bed and pillows were awesome! I slept better than I have in a while. Everything was very clean and the decor was cute. The location is great if you want to stay away from the Waco bustle but close enough to go do the tourist scene.
