Mystic Forest is a small, family-run campground between Klamath, CA, and Crescent City. We have 50 acres of beautiful forest sprinkled with redwood trees. We have restrooms, showers, a game room, a mini golf course, horseshoes, and a half-mile trail. We are pet-friendly. At the office you can find some grocery and redwoods souvenirs. Our laundry facility will be closed indefinitely for repairs starting on August 10th.

Beautiful, flat, surrounded by trees tent site. Tent site #8 has a huge hollow redwood tree, you can walk through it. Hot showers are included. We have a game room (billiards, ping pong, foosball), a mini golf, horseshoes and a half-mile trail in the forest. We are pet-friendly, though no wood scavenging. 4 or 6 person tent will fit but bigger tent won't fit because of the roots. If you have a bigger tent, you may want to take a look at sites #7, 12, 15, 16, 21 or 22. This site is right next to #10, so if you are coming with another family or have a bigger group please ask us if #10 is available.

Little, cozy site in the forest. Park right at the site. There is a fire pit, a picnic table and beautiful trees all around, including redwoods. If you have a regular size tent you'll be fine but if you have a bigger tent, you should look at sites #7, 12, 15, 16, 21 or 22. Tent site #11 is adjacent to tent site #13, something to keep in mind if you are traveling with another family or a bigger group. This site is a little cheaper than the other ones because it is smaller.

Standard 4-person tents will fit in there. There is a picnic table. You can park right at the site. This site is cheaper because it's a no-campfire site and it is small.

Puma is a 2-bedroom, 6-person RV that we rent out for onsite lodging. A/C, heat, restroom with a shower, fully stocked kitchen with stove and oven, picnic table and fire pit. All linens, sheets and towels, plus blankets are provided. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 bunk beds plus a pull-out sofa (2 adults + 2 kids or 4 kids could sleep in that room). Total, the Puma could comfortably have 4 adults plus 2-3 kids or 2 adults and 5 kids. 5 adults wouldn't be comfortable. Currently located in a beautiful, secluded spot in the forest. It is next to Birdie The RV, our second RV for rent, something to keep in mind if you are traveling with another family or a bigger group.

She’s an oldie but goodie, she is clean and freshly painted on the inside. Birdie is a 1996 motorhome. She has a full bathroom and a small but fully stocked kitchen with a gas-burner stove top, microwave and small gas oven. Birdie has central A/C, electrical outlets, a TV, and WiFi. She features a queen sized bed in the private back bedroom. The sofa converts to a full-sized bed and the dinette becomes another twin-sized bed. Birdie comfortably sleeps four adults or two adults and three children. All linens, sheets and towels, plus blankets are provided. If you are looking for something bigger, take a look at the Puma which is the other RV we have for rent.

Beautiful campground, a must stop on a trip up north/to see the redwoods!! The hosts were the most accommodating, thoughtful, and welcoming hosts we could have ever asked for! Wish we could have stayed longer than just 1 night, will definitely be stopping here again! I enjoyed that the host, Patrick, took the time to explain very clear, concise rules to ensure their space was respected. So so helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area as well. The campground has tons of cute spots for kids to explore, although we thoroughly enjoyed exploring for the night and morning we were there as adults. Game/entertainment room is so cute and great for groups of kids/teens, and they're even working on a dog area to welcome all family members! Loved that there was a dishwashing sink right by the restrooms. Though this site was not "near" the restrooms, the walk there was short enough, and gorgeous as ever, so it was well worth it!! Truly cannot say enough positive things about Mystic Forest, and I cannot wait to visit again!

This was a very convenient stop on our way through the redwoods. Maya and Patrick were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the park is well taken care of. We loved our tent spot - it was larger than we expected and had plenty of privacy. The clean bathrooms, hot showers, dishwashing station, and camp store (with fresh coffee!) made the experience even more comfortable. Thanks Patrick and Maya!

We loved staying at Mystic Forest Campground! The tent sites are pretty private with beautiful trees and vegetation between them. The facility was clean and well maintained. My 4yr old had a wonderful time riding his bike and playing in the playground! We felt very safe and thoroughly briefed about local wildlife. We had grand plans to play mini golf and climb in the big log but the rain changed those plans. This may just be our new stop over point between the Willamette Valley and Mendocino County, CA.

Camp hosts Mia and Patrick were extremely thoughtful, welcoming and kind. We had 19B, a smaller tent site which was perfect for one night passing through travels. Clean bathrooms, nice forest trail to unwind at the end of a long day on the road. Highly recommend.

This was on my favorite campsites ever! I loved that my site was surrounded by trees. It was so quiet and the nature sounds were so lovely. I enjoyed having a hot shower available. And- they open up the espresso bar in the camp office in the morning! What really set this campsite apart was the hosts. Patrick and Maya were so welcoming and kind and truly love where they live and what they do. They took so much time out of their day to make sure my experience was wonderful. I was looking for pretty places to take pictures, and Maya took the time to show me around property and allowed me to take pictures wherever I wanted! It was such a treat! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Maya and Patrick were awesome hosts! The RV was prepped with all the essentials, they stopped in to make sure we had everything we needed and it was smooth checking in and out. The campgrounds were super family friendly, with the fun amenities, like the game room and miniature golf, the kids always had something to do. On top of that the nearby scenery was beautiful and allowed for them to partake in nature adventuring while the wife and I kicked back. Bonus was the dog run which the pups really enjoyed! Awesome spot, we'll be back!

Beautiful campground in a majestic northern California coastal forest! Our site was 21, which is very secluded and pretty quiet. That section of tent sites is a little further from the bathroom and water sources, but it's not too bad, like a 5 minute walk. The friendly hosts and staff made us feel like family. The little shop has cute souvenirs and key supplies like wood and ice in abundance. The game room and wifi available there is a real bonus. All the campers seemed friendly. Showers were nice to have. The best part for me was just the presence of several redwoods in the campsite and the close proximity to so many beautiful natural areas. Great for kids too. The place is a little rustic, sure, but it is a great value in a beautiful spot. Totally worth it!

Absolutely gorgeous campsite and very helpful and welcoming hosts. I had a fantastic experience and have already recommended it to friends. It’s very convenient to the 101 which does mean a bit of road noise and it’s not completely secluded, but for me this felt more safe and comfortable as a solo female camper than being more remote.

Very nice campground, great location to launch into the park during the day. Facilities were fine and clean. Game room was great for the kids (ping pong, foosball, board games). Very friendly and helpful hosts. We were in the tent camping sites in 20 ft van…nice and secluded, felt closer to forest, away from the open area with RVs. Wish we’d had more time here!

I love the owners and hosts, Patrick & Maya. They are a family who enjoys what they do and it shows! If you’re lucky, you will hear Patrick play the piano and then see him make his wife a latte as she goes to homeschool their children. It is deeply refreshing to support a small family owned business in a world of predatory corporate pricing. If you come here, be on your best damn behavior because we don’t deserve people this good!! Anyway, the property is lovely and has many helpful features such as a dishwash station, showers and a game room. Additionally, they are located a half mile from the most amazing Indian artifact museum at Trees of Mystery. Never mind the fact that you will be staying in the literal Redwood Forest. I cannot wait to return.

What a beautiful camp ground! In the heart of the redwoods with all the amenities you’d need. Patrick was very helpful and kind. I felt safe here and will definitely be back.

Very cute tent areas, the trail is beautiful, the tent sites are nice and secluded perfect for our PSYCO dog. Cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever had at a camp sight, well managed and wonderful!

First of all, Maia and Patrick were AMAZING hosts. They were so cheerful and helpful. Before we had even made it to our campground, we knew we made a great choice. Second, our site was perfect! Nestled right in the Redwoods. 100% got the vibe we were looking for. Thank you, guys!!
