Mystic Forest is a small, family-run campground between Klamath, CA, and Crescent City. We have 50 acres of beautiful forest sprinkled with redwood trees. We have restrooms, showers, a game room, a mini golf course, horseshoes, and a half-mile trail. We are pet-friendly. At the office you can find some grocery and redwoods souvenirs. Our laundry facility will be closed indefinitely for repairs starting on August 10th.

Beautiful, flat, surrounded by trees tent site. Tent site #8 has a huge hollow redwood tree, you can walk through it. Hot showers are included. We have a game room (billiards, ping pong, foosball), a mini golf, horseshoes and a half-mile trail in the forest. We are pet-friendly, though no wood scavenging. 4 or 6 person tent will fit but bigger tent won't fit because of the roots. If you have a bigger tent, you may want to take a look at sites #7, 12, 15, 16, 21 or 22. This site is right next to #10, so if you are coming with another family or have a bigger group please ask us if #10 is available.

Little, cozy site in the forest. Park right at the site. There is a fire pit, a picnic table and beautiful trees all around, including redwoods. If you have a regular size tent you'll be fine but if you have a bigger tent, you should look at sites #7, 12, 15, 16, 21 or 22. Tent site #11 is adjacent to tent site #13, something to keep in mind if you are traveling with another family or a bigger group. This site is a little cheaper than the other ones because it is smaller.

This is a cozy, smaller size tent site, under some redwood trees. The picnic table is on one end and you can pitch your tent on the other side of the site. Parking is right there at the site. The site has some trees and bushes surrounding it but is not fully secluded. 19B is a no-campfire site (we only have 2 sites that are no-campfire sites, this one and tent site #16B, all other sites you can make a campfire at unless we have a ban). Standard 4-person tents will fit in there. There is a picnic table. You can park right at the site. This site is cheaper because it's a no-campfire site and it is small.

The parking space has a little grade to it so this site isn't the best for van or car camping. This is probably our smallest tent site. Puma is a 2-bedroom, 6-person RV that we rent out for onsite lodging. A/C, heat, restroom with a shower, fully stocked kitchen with stove and oven, picnic table and fire pit. All linens, sheets and towels, plus blankets are provided. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 bunk beds plus a pull-out sofa (2 adults + 2 kids or 4 kids could sleep in that room). Total, the Puma could comfortably have 4 adults plus 2-3 kids or 2 adults and 5 kids. 5 adults wouldn't be comfortable. Currently located in a beautiful, secluded spot in the forest. It is next to Birdie The RV, our second RV for rent, something to keep in mind if you are traveling with another family or a bigger group.

She’s an oldie but goodie, she is clean and freshly painted on the inside. Birdie is a 1996 motorhome. She has a full bathroom and a small but fully stocked kitchen with a gas-burner stove top, microwave and small gas oven. Birdie has central A/C, electrical outlets, a TV, and WiFi. She features a queen sized bed in the private back bedroom. The sofa converts to a full-sized bed and the dinette becomes another twin-sized bed. Birdie comfortably sleeps four adults or two adults and three children. All linens, sheets and towels, plus blankets are provided. If you are looking for something bigger, take a look at the Puma which is the other RV we have for rent.

I liked the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the services offered were excellent, the trails were quiet and wel maintained. I highly enjoyed my visit, there is a dog run/park and many other great things to enjoy. My dog loved running around and playing with the other dogs.

19C is a perfect site if you like seclusion, as I do. Surrounded by high green brush with a towering redwood on one side and farther out around the site. The site at the end of a narrow lane through the redwoods; you feel like you left the RV park well behind you by the time you reach it. The site was plenty big for my truck camper and I, but not much else. Which helps keep it quiet. The birds and squirrels were present but not obtrusive, bugs not bad at all. Enough sun to sit in, but easy to sit in shade, too. And on top of all that, only about 350m walk to clean bathroom/shower, and another 50m to the park store, which has a few camping necessities and mementos, but most of all, great lattes made by the super nice couple that own it. Great place for quiet redwoods getaway!

Excellent spot right in the middle of the redwood parks. The hosts were friendly and all the amenities you need are there- water, showers, laundry, and even a game room. I particularly appreciated having WiFi since there's no cell reception and the sink for washing my dishes. Definitely read the site descriptions when booking because some of them can really only fit a 3-person tent.

I loved camping here! They have fire pits. It is super close to the beach and the staff is super nice! I was concerned at first about the campsite being next to the road but the road isn’t too busy and the trees blocks a lot of the sound!

It’s also a perfect location if you’re planning to visit Trees of Mystery. This campground is awesome! Perfect location for exploring some of the most incredible parts of the Redwood National & State Parks, and the campground itself is beautiful in its own right with a little trail that our kids loved (and on which we found a beautiful banana slug). Patrick and Maya are great hosts. Highly recommended.

My friend and I stayed at site 19C and it was the perfect size for the two of us and our tent. The check in process was so easy and helpful as the staff explained everything we would need to know. Having WiFi within the campgrounds even if not at our site was super helpful. The general/gift store is an added bonus. A lot to do even right at the campsite. As two women, we felt very safe and would absolutely stay again. We highly recommend this campsite to any looking to stay! We were just passing through, but I could also see it being a good place to stay multiple nights.

We stayed in Black Bear Cabin. For me, the linens on the bed being of great quality and washed in decent detergent was huge. It made the stay. I also noticed thoughtful details throughout, like log seats around the fire pit. The cute vinyl record player, the walking trails. And the kids liked the mini-golf course as well.

We used a tent-site at Mystic Forest as our base for 3 nights while we explored the Redwoods in mid-April. As often happens during rainy season, there was a 12 hour rainstorm through the night and into mid-day the first night of our stay. We were grateful for our extra tarps keeping us dry! The host was welcoming and helpful! To our delight, we found a decent sized enclosed dog area for our pup to roam. The restrooms were clean and well-stocked, with hot showers and a large basined sink outside for cleaning dishes. We look forward to using again for our next adventure in the area!

Very beautiful setting! Playground, game room and walking trail were very neat. We had the campground area almost to ourselves due to the wet weather. We utilized the laundry room multiple times, also due to the wet weather, and it was so handy! We came in the off season, so it would be interesting to see what things are different during the main season when the gift store etc., are open. Very nice campground, would come again!

Overall very good experience. Little Foot camper well appointed with kitchen items, good efficient small space, comfortable. Campground host very responsive. Mystic Campground is well-situated midway between Prairie Creek and Jedediah Parks. Camping space a bit tight within the campground. Not quite as secluded as you might think.

Puma The RV
While we reserved the Puma, there was an issue identified with this accommodation and the owners provided a new equivalent model (the Bullet) for our stay. The owners called us ahead of our arrival to let us know, and maintained good communication with us throughout our stay. This trailer was brand new, clean, and met our expectations as an alternative to the one originally booked. A couple of issues were encountered during our stay: 1. The gray water tank for the kitchen sink was not set to drain. This was addressed immediately by maintenance after a quick phone call. 2. After a planned power outage by the local utility company (which the owners informed us about ahead of time), the WiFi was no longer working. This was also immediately addressed by maintenance after texting the owners. Overall, I was really impressed with the responsiveness of Patrick and Carolyn. The only suggestions I have is that the trailer be stocked with paper towels (none provided, and only two dish towels) and extra trash bags (only one trash bag provided).

Mystic Forest Tent Site #22
Camped at site #22 for two nights. It's probably one of the further most tent sites, but it was perfect. Very quiet nights. Hit a few hiking trails around the area before returning each night. Bathrooms and showers were very nice.
