It was great for a van, water, electric, and tank dump. But what was better was the hosts, Mike and Ricka. Mike is a man of many skills and the also have a separate cabin that is thing of rustic beauty. Situated on a beautiful lake. There is also a lot to do in Ocala. Check it out. You will be glad you did.

My husband an i were so lucky to find this place. It matches exactly our needs and what we could expect from camping. We were supposed to stay one week because because we felt so good there and because there is so much to do we decided to stay a whole month.
First, Live Oak Cove is a little peace of heaven: the lot where you camp is big a fenced pasture, very private and very clean. The fact that everything was fenced is super convenient for people with doggies. We have 3 and our frenchies literally loved the place. And Michael and his wonderful wife are animal lovers!!!! They have adorable labs who love to swim with our doggies in the lake. Amazing sunrise on the lake, you can take one of their canoe and have fun.
The place is peaceful and very quiet, Michael will bring you plenty of wood so you can have big fires in the evening and his wife will give you fresh delicious eggs .
They will absolutely do everything they can do to make you feel home and that is really what we felt. They are great people, super friendly if you want to gather around the firepit with a good beer/glass of wine or also very discreet if you want your privacy. In a word, they are perfect hosts, we could not have asked for more or better.
The place is super close to so many things to do: Silver Springs, Ocala National forest, the green way,....and they will show you all the nice spots! You definitely need more than one month to see all the Ocala's wonders.
We wanted to keep that hidden gem for us, but we have to share and tell you how perfect this place is. It is a must if you decide to visit Ocala, don't miss it. We will definitely come back, for sure !

Response from Michael, the Host, on February 17th, 2020

My family and I also feel very blessed to have such wonderful guests. We enjoy seeing their 3 Frenchies (bulldogs), lying on their doggie beds under the pole barn. Enjoying sitting together at a warm camp fire and sharing stories about our lives. We're enjoying this experience very much! Hope all our guests are so great:)

Hands down one of the best places we’ve camped! The pole barn offering magnificent shade from the Florida sun, the horses, the chickens, the pups, access to the lake, and most importantly, the hosts. Michael and Rica’s property was just lovely as can be. They were incredibly hospitable and interacted only as much as we wanted. Our kids loved them and a bit testy eyed when it was our time to leave. Don’t pass this place up if you’re ever near Ocala.

Trampoline to keep little ones happily moving. :)Epic tree swing our kids couldn't get enough of.You have access to their beautiful lake and dock area. They also have canoes to use!Another view of the pole barn setup

I am almost hesitant to write this review because I'd like to keep this jewel to myself. Mike and Rica are terrific hosts, eager to greet and provide anything you need, yet very protective of your privacy. The facilities were exceptional! Fenced in room for the pooch to run... farm fresh eggs... beautiful lakefront sunsets... We will be regulars here.

What a wonderful experience! My family and I were looking for a camp site where we could have fires all day and night, throw the ball around, let our little dog run free, and most importantly, a spot with No quiet hours or neighbors. This is it! Michael and Rica were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything necessary for the perfect stay. Full Hook Up and Covered Site, BBQ with Propane, Firewood Cut and Ready for us when we arrived, Big Oak Tree for Extra Shade, and a clear view of the night sky for beach blanket star gazing. We had the fire going day & night and were able to get extra High Quality firewood delivered to us by Micheal for a really great price. (If your not a campfire junkie then the amount of wood that was there when we arrived on site would be more than enough)
We liked it so much we stayed an extra night. Wish it could have been an extra week!

Our first Hipcamp experience has ruined us for all others. This gem of a site could not be a more relaxing experience.....and the amenities are just as expressed by others. The hosts are fantastic. Can’t wait to see the finished efficiency appt. Mike is working on. Let the fight for bookings begin!!
