Amazing! Amazing! Where can I start? Let me begin with CJ, the host. She was so approachable from the beginning. No hangups and made us feel so comfortable. Anything we asked for was immediately attended to, very helpful and she was open to suggestions as well. Next the place - omg breathtaking. Her place is beautiful surrounded by farms all around with Mt. Rainier peeking from far end. If your looking at going with kids this is the place to be. We booked both her sites as we were a big group and our kids loved it. A very neat, clean and beautiful site with a huge clean toilet almost vintage. A lovely barn where we spent our nights playing games. CJ is working on some upgrades that will make this place even more perfect and I am definitely going to book again.

We stayed on CJs property for two nights with 2 families (4 adults and 4 kids 7-10 years old and 3 dots) and had an amazing time. I would highly recommend staying here and we will for sure be back. It was a great central location for accessing Mt Rainier, Mount Saint Helens, Mount Adams and other adventures in the surrounding area.

The property had a beautiful view over the surrounding farm land and mountains in the distance. Our kids brought their bikes and loved riding around the property, especially going fast down the driveway hill. We were able to use the barn area to store food (in our coolers and in the refrigerator/freezer that is on site) and hang out in at times. But we had great weather so we spent our time hanging out on the lawn area next to the barn. The barn provided a nice shady area for getting out of the sun in the heat of the day.

One of the many highlights for us was laying out of the lawn at night and star gazing. With little light interference and no moon we had some great views.

We also signed our kids up to do an art/painting class with CJ that they loved and the paintings they created were amazing. CJ was a great host who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. She was there anytime we needed her, but otherwise kept to herself and let us enjoy ourselves.

CJ’s place is beautiful and well worth the small additional cost of a state/county camping site. Her location is beautiful and she has a nice bathroom/barn area that are great additions. It’s just such a beautiful valley. We stayed with our RV and it was perfect with hookups and all. We will likely come back again.

This hipcamp experience was magical in every way, and our host CJ was simply wonderful. She has created a serene spot that inspires creativity, connection and inner peace. We feasted our eyes on gorgeous sunsets, a vast valley of free range cows and crops, and Mt. Rainier peak, right from our campsite. We stayed here with two other families, and the 5 young kids had a beautiful range of space to run and play. They particularly loved foraging for blackberries, picking apples, and especially the luxury outhouse (an old farm shed that was converted into a fully functional, tasteful and clean toilet) which doubled as their playroom. (There's a table and chairs in this glam outhouse!) CJ let the kids play in the sprinklers during a heatwave, and surprised us all with kitten cuddling on our last day. The site is a minute drive from the entrance to the Pinchot Forest, through which you'll have a beautiful one hour drive up to the Mt St Helen National Park/Monument. Excellent river and creek swimming within 15 minutes from the camp. IF you are tenting, there are many flat spots to pitch tent at this site. We did take refuge in the large art studio barn during the Washington Mosquito Hour ( crazy mosquitos that swarm around just before sunset but they seem not to even bite!!!) Other wonderful amenities: a full fridge and freezer, a coffee maker, a tea kettle, and a gas bbq. If you are desperate for a shower, you can find some at the national park campsites nearby. We didn't get a chance to schedule an art lesson with our painter host, but we won't miss out next time. Lifelong memories were made here, and we hope to make more here next year.

We had an incredible stay at CJ’s ranch! One of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed at, with stunning views of Mount Rainier and the cascades. We didn’t realize at the time of booking but this location is a hot bed of activities. Our days were packed full — hiking to caves, swimming in the lake, visiting the lavender fields, and a trip to Mount Rainier National Park. The central location of CJ’s ranch gave us a scenic and serene home base for our family camping trip. CJ was very warm and hospitable and we enjoyed our time talking with her and learning about her vision for the property.
