RiverOak is located on the bank of the Thomson River in Heyfield, Gippsland. RiverOak is an exclusive group camping ground. This means we only book to one group at a time and you will have the whole place to yourselves. We can accommodate up to 40 overnight guests in total and can fit 8 caravans at once. You book and pay for the site regardless of your groups size (max 40). We have river frontage suitable for swimming and fishing, two toilets, two hot water showers, campfire pits, play equipment for kids, walk to town, tree swing. The property has a beautiful big oak tree that will make you feel like you're somewhere magical. We are less than 1 kilometre to town. Fish in the river, relax under the tree, end your day with a nice hot shower and enjoy time with your family and friends. You also get phone reception. If you wish to bring a dog please let us know and we can discuss. You will love your stay here. Please note there is a 3 night min stay on long weekend.     Honestly, this has to be one of the best Hipcamp stays we’ve been to so far! The space was incredibly spacious, the facilities were very clean, and having hot showers was such a bonus — especially after a day outdoors. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and had such a great time making memories with our family. It was absolutely worth every penny. The location is also really convenient, being so close to town if you need to pick up any last-minute items. The option to have firewood delivered was another great touch, as it meant we didn’t have to worry about carrying it with us on the trip. Amanda and Steve were both lovely hosts — friendly, welcoming and very accommodating throughout our stay. We genuinely had such a great weekend and will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and spacious family camping getaway.

    Amanda and Steve were very accommodating in letting us check in early and even helped us jump start one of our friend's car that got a flat battery. They were quick to reply to any questions we had! This is the perfect place to go as first campers - the toilets and showers are great, there is ample space for the kids to run around, and even a trampoline which kept our kids occupied for hours. You can fish in the river as well, we managed to catch a few carp. Thanks for having us and we look forward to come back again!

    We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful farm camp near Heyfield. The setting is peaceful and spacious, with plenty of room for groups to spread out while still feeling connected around the main camping area. The facilities are excellent for group camping – clean, well thought out, and clearly designed with larger gatherings in mind. It made the whole experience easy and comfortable without losing that relaxed farm-stay feel. The property itself is lovely, with great views and a real sense of being out in the countryside. One of the biggest advantages is the location. It feels nicely tucked away, but you’re still only a few minutes from Heyfield if you need supplies, coffee, or a quick trip into town. A perfect spot for families or groups wanting a relaxed country getaway. We’d happily come back again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks again Amanda & Steve for an amazing trip. Josh
