The last 5 miles of the drive are on a "Red Dirt Road" and it can be bumpy or even slippery if it's rained recently. I've never heard of any issues in any vehicles but it's a county road. You will leave with red dirt on your vehicle but that's part of the appeal, the secluded getaway :)
Once you start down the driveway you'll see the lake through the trees, making the rough 5-mile ride worth it.

There are trails to the creek, and a road along the pastures. Wild blackberries grow along the drive in the spring, beauty berries in the summer, and grapes throughout the property. A great off-grid stay with septic, well water, and solar or generated power.

Baker's Cabin is a rare property - a remote cabin on 6 acres, shared with no one but the night sky.
Baker's Cabin is in the country. Located about 25 minutes from Centerville, it makes for an easy weekend getaway from the Houston or Dallas areas. As you drive from interstate, to highway, to county road to dirt road and over a single lane wooden bridge, you feel yourself start to unwind and relax.
This cabin is located on a private dirt road (too much rain can make things muddy). You'll be given gate access for entrance. As you drive down the dirt road, you'll find our light blue cabin on stilts. Because the cabin is raised, you have a great entertainment space sheltered from the weather. You can hang out, swing and play games all downstairs. We also have a firepit for cooler evenings.

Weekend Trip to Seven Acres Campground
This stay was as described plus some! Most importantly for me is always having my coffee and there's a cute little cabin "tea house" with a kitchen for long stay use plus coffee, tea, and snacks. It was adorable and quite a surprise because the listing said a coffee maker was in the laundry room. Untrue and should be updated to reflect how cute the standalone "tea house" really is! The bathhouse should really be called luxury bath cabin. It is really nice, very clean, and just steps from the cabin I stayed in. It's shared among all cabins so that could turn some off, but it was so nice that I absolutely didn't mind. The area is really pretty, filled with trees and flowers, and sweet outside cats. Right across the street from the lake. The road noise might be busy during prime season but overall, this stay was quiet and relaxing, more than a simple overnight campsite, which was just what I was looking for.

It was a night little getaway not too far. The place we clean and had mostly everything you’d need. The only thing was it looked like you could roam around a little more but it’s the road you drive up on and a little back so exploring with the dogs was a little limited but I would highly recommend this place

I had the most wonderful experience camping at Beulah Ranch this past weekend. The campsite (The Sink) was so cozy, the swing was fun, and I loved how natural and private everything felt. It was very peaceful, with everything I needed provided—including even batteries for electricity.
The property itself is amazing, and my dogs had the best time enjoying the freedom of the open space. Noah’s hard work and creativity really show throughout the ranch, and it’s clear how much work he and his dad have put into making it special. They are both incredibly friendly, genuine, and cultured hosts who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.
This will definitely become a regular spot for me, and I can’t wait to see all of the exciting plans they have for the future come to life. It is so delicious and an experience I promise you have likely never had before.

Weekend Trip to Riveted Retreat
We stayed over Labor Day weekend from Friday to Monday and as someone who has had 4 days off in two months I was looking forward to nothing but relaxing. This was the medicine I needed! We got to the spot and in the gate with zero problems. It is exactly as advertised and the pictures tell you exactly what you are getting. It was so quiet, beautiful, and serene that I immediately relaxed. The camper is great and equipped with everything you would need. We over packed because we've had other experiences that weren't as equipped with what we needed but this was perfection. We put bird seed I the feeder the first night and by the next day we had all sorts of birds, we had a sweet armadillo who visited us everyday, and two barred owls who decided to have a conversation each evening. Humming birds all over the place, fireflies, and just so calming. When it rained we were able to not only stay inside and stream our shows but also WiFi was on point so I was able to sit outside and watch on my iPad. The covers deck was also perfect for that while it rained. The pool was clean and a great dip to cool off. The only thing with that is that it was a little hard to get in and out for a shorty like me. We had a blast and will absolutely rent this again!! When we needed more firewood the owners came ASAP and brought more. Very kind and hey, we did hit up Buc-ee's that is only miles away for fun and great snacks. Highly recommend for quiet, silent weekend!

So much culture at this site and great staff. We partook in a picture scavenger hunt with the kids I was with and they all got Texas Parks and Wildlife Department temporary tatoos and rubber bracelets. We were given an impromptu nature interpretive talk because the ranger liked that we were getting kids out and exploring (it was my job). The kids loved and the staff were Great! There are buildings on site to go into and look at with information about who built it and the history of the area.
