Welcome to Fish Lake Beach, a family-friendly RV park in Volo, IL, tucked into the heart of Lake County just 45 minutes north of Chicago.
We sit right on the shores of Fish Lake, and the water is at the center of everything we do here. Guests come for the beach, the boat rentals, the fishing, and the kind of slow, easy days that are hard to find anywhere else. Beyond the lake, we have resort-style amenities including a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, dog park, indoor pickleball court, basketball courts, a softball field, playgrounds, and a full calendar of activities at the Pavilion all season long.
We offer four ways to stay: full hookup RV sites, long term RV sites, cozy cabins, and lakefront tent sites. Our season runs from May 1st through October 15th, during some of the best weather the Chicago area has to offer. We're looking forward to welcoming you to the neighborhood!

We loved it here and I highly recommend sites 246-249 because these are the full shade sites. These sites back up to a green area and are shaded by tall pine trees. It smells glorius. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes by foot and your camp fee pays for a private beach feeling. You also have the privilege of enjoying a vacant midcentury building for a quick reenactment of the "Walking Dead" and photo ops.
