Solomon's Garden is a humble 5 acre working homestead located in the Black Warrior River valley. This working farm and community space provides glamping and camping options. Included is a 3 stall shower house with flushing toilets and hot water showers with enough room to change comfortably. Guests are welcome to drive right up to their tents (in dry weather) and within 50 feet in rainy weather.
We currently have a semi-private camping area in our small orchard that is flat and grassy that we recommend for tent campers on any day. We also have a larger, more remote camp area available for those looking for a more complete glamping experience. Our canvas tents are equipped with electricity, lighting, pillow-top mattresses, linen and plenty of space for relaxation and luggage.
Guests can request the number of beds needed for their stay. If you're traveling with children, twin beds are available. If you're traveling alone or as a couple you can choose a full bed. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Enjoy evenings by the fire at our communal fire pit, situated between the logs.
Add-ons include: Propane camp stoves, refrigerator space, use of the community kitchen, wood stove heaters, farm fresh eggs and more. Guests are also welcome to walk our nature trail, lined with the stumps from our beloved forest which are now covered in herbs and berries.

Cost is related to accommodations for both the destination spot AND the on-site "glamping" experience (2019 Newmar Dutch Star- one can also see images on RVshare or we are happy to send them). However, standard rates for this area would apply should we approve your request to bring your own accommodations such as small trailer/pop-up/small camper van or even tent for FAMILY related getaway..
The property is spacious and former home site on beautiful Lake Tuscaloosa. There are full hookups (50 and 30 amp), sewer and water, and Wifi. There is lakefront access via your own personal boat dock, fire pits, and various seating areas. We recently added an outdoor building with washer and dryer, bathroom/changing room, outdoor shower AND a hot tub that overlooks the lake. There is a public boat launch just down the road along with lakefront restaurants and boat rental establishments nearby. There are multiple convenient stores, grocery stores, a Dollar General and even a hardware store just down the road.
At this time, we are allowing guests to camp in our RV on-site (what we call "transient occupancy").

Wild Ferns is a spacious campground with RV lodging and hookups. Our onsite Campers are all set up, including indoor plumbing, bedrooms, pull out sofas, spacious porches and private firepit areas. There is potable running water, flushing toilets, electricity, hot water showers and a gravel driveway for easy access.
Plenty of space for tent camping in sweet coves nestled a few hundred yards down the path await the more adventurous travelers.
The RVs are situated just a few yards away from the entrance to a nearly 2 mile winding path through this gorgeous west Alabama forest. Ferns trail down the hillside to the intermittent stream where you'll catch glimpses of large and small wildlife, many species of birds, turtles, flora and fauna.
Only 14 minutes from the nearest i20 exit, 40 minutes from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa and yet, a world-away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Sites are first come first serve so get there early. Sites on the water are beautiful with great sunsets. Large decks at sites allow for plenty of space. Great park. Well kept secret. Beautiful trails.

A small state park centered around a lake with forests surrounding. The park is most popular with mountain bikers and rv ers. You can hike the main trail around the lake in about six hours. The lake itself tends to get minimal use. The campsites are spacious and scenic but no undergrowth for privacy. Facilities are well maintained.
