77 acres of rolling hills along the headwaters of Haley's Creek with a 1 m waterfall into a 4-ft deep pool and beautiful hardwood and pine forest all around. A Rustic road courses along with the creek and several offshoots for mountain biking or hiking. The waterfall and pool are a 1/2 mile hike into the property on the primitive road. Gravel is only provided at the entrance area, encircling the metal shed. Any driving off the gravel runs a risk of getting stuck in the slippery clay/mud. Rainwater barrels and 110 electricity are available at the metal shed. See dozens of tree species old and young along the creek and wildlife including turkeys, deer, bobcat, raccoons, possums, hawks, rabbits etc.

Best catfishing in the state. No fishing license is required. Just start fishing. Borders Big Black civil war battlefield. Pets are family and always welcome. Off leash is fantastic as long as your good with it. Lots of room to run. Jon boats with motors, Kayaks and ATV's always ok. Large stretches of sand bars when water permits. Not far from I-20. Great cell reception. Good restaurant down the road in Bovina. Loves truck stop just down the road. The existing road going in "Vickors Rd" can be bumpy, dusty, wet and may hold pools of water at times but the road itself is solid and will support the heaviest of vehicles.

The 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin has an open floor plan in the den and kitchen, a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, and twin beds in the second bedroom, with a roll-away daybed available. A pack-n-play is available upon request. The bathroom is handicapped accessible. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, full-size refrigerator, and microwave. There is no dishwasher. There is a flat-screen TV in both the den and the master bedroom with Directv. We have WIFI available. The space Sweet Olive Cabin is the perfect place for your girls' trip, honeymoon, anniversary, or just a quiet place to spend quality time with your family! Here at Blossom Hill Farms, we want you to feel right at home! Guest access Sweet Olive Cabin can be a little difficult to find, especially in the dark. A GPS will get you close. The cabin is close to the road, Blossom Hill Rd. If you are coming in from the north, the cabin will be on the right. If coming in from the south, it will be on the left. Let me know If your eta is after dark, and I can leave the porch lights on for you. Other things to note Scott County is a dry county with beer available for sale or beer and alcohol for dining in at some locations. Sweet Olive Cabin is not a “pet-friendly” property. We do, however, make an exception for registered service animals with an additional $25 fee. In Forest (5-8 miles), there is Vowell’s grocery store, Walmart, and many fast food restaurants. For eating in, try Foothills lunch/dinner with live music on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are looking for some genuine southern cooking, there’s The Garden Patch (open till 2 pm M-Th).

This place is a MUST visit! My husband and i enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back with babies and grandson. Mr. Austin stayed in contact even before the trip...We enjoyed interacting with the animals and were hoping to do the horseback riding but it rained. This place is 1000/10! I promise you won't be disappointed.

We only overnighted at Wendy Oaks. It was a great, easily accessed campground for us. I add that as we travel with a small trailer and a U-turn was necessary. The trees and lake made me feel like I was in a camp ground, Unfortunately it rained all night and we skipped the hike around the lake. Our site was gravel but level.

Awesome host! Sometimes when you pull up late at night, you never know what you’re going to find. Scott was there to greet us and do everything he could to make sure we were comfortable. It was cold, rainy and he went above and beyond.The directions were easy and helpful. The campsite was incredibly spacious, easy to pull through and hookup to electric/water. No issues whatsoever and very simple to do yourself and in the dark which is why Scott’s assistance was even more notable. We would stay again and would recommend!

We had a wonderful time camping at this site. Decor was fun and holiday themed. Staff was friendly and kind. Very attentive. Neighbors were fun. Our kids had fun on the playground equipment. Plenty of room for running and ball games. We had a nice fire. Didn't get to try the gem mining b/c we ran out of time. The area was great for walking. Overall great stay!

What an amazing campsite. Scott, the host, was incredible and super friendly and knowledgable. There is a beautiful lake on site where campers can fish and hike, and the place is super clean, quiet, and secluded. The amenities are super clean and pleasant. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely come back and visit Scott and his campsite.

Scott was very respectful, and we felt safe at Black River Campsite. He was very committed to making the camping experience a good one. The road coming in is a bit bumpy and tough in a vehicle with low ground clearance, but not impossible. Just gotta take it slow. The site was perfectly level and good for a car camper. Showers were awesome, warm, and he keeps things very clean! Gorgeous views too and nice little hiking trails, fishing spots.
