77 acres of rolling hills along the headwaters of Haley's Creek with a 1 m waterfall into a 4-ft deep pool and beautiful hardwood and pine forest all around. A Rustic road courses along with the creek and several offshoots for mountain biking or hiking. The waterfall and pool are a 1/2 mile hike into the property on the primitive road. Gravel is only provided at the entrance area, encircling the metal shed. Any driving off the gravel runs a risk of getting stuck in the slippery clay/mud. Rainwater barrels and 110 electricity are available at the metal shed. See dozens of tree species old and young along the creek and wildlife including turkeys, deer, bobcat, raccoons, possums, hawks, rabbits etc.

Best catfishing in the state. No fishing license is required. Just start fishing. Borders Big Black civil war battlefield. Pets are family and always welcome. Off leash is fantastic as long as your good with it. Lots of room to run. Jon boats with motors, Kayaks and ATV's always ok. Large stretches of sand bars when water permits. Not far from I-20. Great cell reception. Good restaurant down the road in Bovina. Loves truck stop just down the road. The existing road going in "Vickors Rd" can be bumpy, dusty, wet and may hold pools of water at times but the road itself is solid and will support the heaviest of vehicles.

There is a flat-screen TV in both the den and the master bedroom with Directv. We have WIFI available. The space Sweet Olive Cabin is the perfect place for your girls' trip, honeymoon, anniversary, or just a quiet place to spend quality time with your family! Here at Blossom Hill Farms, we want you to feel right at home! Guest access Sweet Olive Cabin can be a little difficult to find, especially in the dark. A GPS will get you close. The cabin is close to the road, Blossom Hill Rd. If you are coming in from the north, the cabin will be on the right. If coming in from the south, it will be on the left. Let me know If your eta is after dark, and I can leave the porch lights on for you. Other things to note Scott County is a dry county with beer available for sale or beer and alcohol for dining in at some locations. Sweet Olive Cabin is not a “pet-friendly” property. We do, however, make an exception for registered service animals with an additional $25 fee. In Forest (5-8 miles), there is Vowell’s grocery store, Walmart, and many fast food restaurants. For eating in, try Foothills lunch/dinner with live music on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are looking for some genuine southern cooking, there’s The Garden Patch (open till 2 pm M-Th).

Weekend Trip to Leatherneck On Big Black River

Loved our stay! Took my son tent camping and thoroughly enjoyed the campground. Jon is an amazing host and made sure our stay was top notch. The sites were clean, well taken care of and the scenery was fantastic. We didn’t pack any fishing gear on this trip, but we will definitely remember to pack it the next time we visit. I highly recommend this campground to anyone who wants a nice, peaceful camping experience.

My son and I stayed on Clays property one night on a drive from FL to Missouri. The property was great. We camped right by the pond and saw several deer and had a fantastic view of the stars. I’d definitely stay here again 👍👍

Austin has such a wonderful space! Upon arrival he greeted us and gave us a tour of the barn and animal stables. The ranch was easy to find and has a spacious driveway suitable for car camping. There are also several tent sites available, one of which was under a covered area with lights and an outdoor space heater. Bathrooms were inside with flushing toilets, heat, and lights- a camping luxury to us. We couldn't have been more grateful for the roof and made it through a rough storm shacked up with the incredibly friendly animals. Pet friendly, our 60lb dog had just as much fun looking at the animals as we did. We are looking forward to another stay if we're ever in the area.

I arrived later than scheduled and they still greeted me immediately and got me to my prime real estate (right next to the pool). Super helpful. The property is well designed and tucked away from the world. A lake to fish from, a pool, a pavilion, 2 dog parks, a store. I just started my RV journey and have been to a few spots. This place exceeded my expectations. A must stop in Mississippi, along the I-20.

We had an amazing tent camping trip with the most peaceful country views. Waking up in the morning to open skies, fresh air, and the sound of nature was exactly what we needed. The pond was absolutely beautiful — calm, clean, and perfect for fishing. We spent hours casting lines and just soaking in the quiet surroundings. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with scenic views and great fishing, this spot is a hidden gem. Simple, peaceful, and refreshing — we’ll definitely be back.

After several days on the road, I pulled into Black River completely worn out and overstimulated—just looking for somewhere to hide out and decompress. This place was exactly what the doctor ordered. Scott was a fantastic host, and the site itself is private and peaceful. If you're someone who needs quiet to recharge, this is your spot. The real bonus for me was the huge open field. My dog was able to run, play, and burn off days' worth of pent-up road-trip energy—which meant we both slept well that night. I wasn't able to take advantage of the fishing this trip, but the river is right there and the opportunity is outstanding if that's your thing. There are also hiking trails through the woods if you want to explore. Honestly, this place checked every box. Private, quiet, dog-friendly, with water access and trails if you want them—or just peace and space if you don't. Definitely one of the top spots on my list for a return visit. Thanks, Scott.

I Love, love love love this place!!! Peace by the bucketfuls. The grounds keeper Mr. Ron, even made sure that I had New Year's dinner on New Year's day!!! It was absolutely delicious!!! 😋 Like I sad before l absolutely love Magnolia!!! ❤️
