Hi my name is Christina, your on-site host, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to host you at our one-of-a-kind glamping site! We're located 40 min from Kanab, 50 min from Zion National Park and 2 hours from Grand Canyon North Rim, Bryce Canyon National Park and Page, AZ.
We're on 7 acres of land (all accomodations are on ~2 acres of the land) in a very rural town but please note, we do have neighbors on both sides- one of which have cows, roosters and horses. We have 3 glamping tents and 1 tiny cabin on-site (all of which are available for booking) along with a few shared spaces amongst guests: 2 covered grilling areas, a centralized fire pit and an indoor bathhouse. We are currently in the process of adding 2 more accommodations, a silo and a cave, that will be available by Summer 2024.
Each glamping tent and cabin is about 30 yards apart from one another. We provide all linens and towels for guests, AC/Heater units and hot/cold water year-round.
We're located at the border of Utah and Arizona in Cane Beds, AZ. It's a very isolated area with 2-3 dining options and a large full-sized grocery store (Bee's Marketplace) less than 10 minutes away! Cane Beds, Arizona has beautiful sandstone formations & attractions such as nearby Water Canyon Trailhead, Gooseberry Mesa and Maxwell Park.
The terrain is very similar to Zion National Park. This region is especially known for hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails.
We're also conveniently located 40 min from Kanab, which is a town full of trails and hikes with a ton of great stops on the way (Paria Townsite, The Toadstools, Wirepass to Buckskin Gulch, The Wave, Grand Staircase Escalante).

One of our best features is the solitude and exposure to Mother Nature. Here, you won't find quiet hours, disruptive campers, or noise and light pollution. These sites provide the ultimate experience for those willing to go off the grid, off the main road, and into the backcountry. As the crow flies, the property is just over three miles from the east boundary of Zion National Park. This land is where our family calls home and has been in the Lundgren family for four generations. It is still used for agriculture purposes today. This part of the country is home to textured red rock, blue skies, and numerous desert flora and fauna, making it an ideal spot for photographers. Some of the animals you might spot include owl, bear, mountain lion, bobcat, deer, coyote, turkey, snakes, lizards, as well as many different types of birds. There is very little light pollution making the night sky dazzling and unforgettable.

I really loved my time at the Gypsy King cottage! What a beautiful and well thought out space to stay in. Russell was a very good host and communicated promptly when I reached out to him. The cabin and the property is so peaceful absolutely gorgeous! I hope to come back and stay for longer next time. I didn’t have the time to try the sauna. My dog loved the fenced in yard and made good friends with the neighbors adorable blue and red heelers!

Weekend Trip to Gypsy’s Cottage
Russell’s cottage matches the photos, clean while also cozy. The cob structure is really beautiful, and fire wood provided was so nice. A wood fired sauna is a treat and an outdoor bath, looking towards the Big Dipper was very special! This is a precious place to stay, and there’s lots of incredible hiking, climbing, and mountain biking with an hour drive. Also the neighbor dogs came to visit which we loved. Thank you Russell and hope to visit again sometime.

The drive to this place is just wonderful! Easy check in with clear instructions. Bathrooms are super clean! Cute little outdoor community space that's next to the game room. All I can say is wow! Our experience staying at this cottage was everything we could have wanted it to be and more. The views cannot be overstated, the bed was so cozy, and the cottage itself was so unique and homey. We were sad when it came time to leave! During our stay, we weren’t sure if we wanted to go to the parks or just stay at the cottage. Russell is an incredible host. I messaged him twice with questions, and both times, he answered within a few minutes. You definitely feel that you’re in the country, but town is just ten minutes away for food and groceries. I very highly recommend staying here!

Such an under the radar gem of a place close by Zion with its own slot Canyon locally and the sauna in the back with the outdoor bathtub to cool off in afterwards is a huge plus.
You can tell the owner is a contractor because of the care and design with which he built this house himself. It really doesn't come across in the pictures how nicely finished it is.

Location was very comfortable, quiet and peaceful.. was warmly welcomed by Becky and had great conversations with Michael.. My girls were so excited when Maude took us to see and feed the goats, a horse, chickens and bunnies.. Definitely would recommend and will return.

White House was a great place to stay. I was on my way from Las Vegas to lake Powell and passed by. its a little bit of a drive but not bad. I did it just fine in a Nissan Altima. It does gonover a wash so if it's been raining you might not be able to reach it. When I got there there was no one there but a car at the trail head. The vault bathrooms were clean. They were renovating the campground at the time and it was free to stay during work. As a woman traveling alone I was a little apprehensious to stay there alone but as I left someone else showed up so I decided to stay. I'm glad I did. It was beautiful and the sky was the darkest, clearest sky I'd seen all summer. Great access to glen canyon. About a half hour away.

White House is super easy to reach, scenic and has everything you would need to kick off an adventure into Paria Canyon, the surrounding Vermillion Cliffs or plan your attack for attempting the ever-elusive lottery for The Wave hike.
The White House Trailhead & Campground sits just north of the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. There are only 5 walk-in sites ($5 per night), very clean bathrooms, and grilled firepit/picnic tables in each site. The camping area is surrounded by beautifully sculpted and colored sandstone cliffs that make for fun quick hikes and gorgeous views of the area.
The Paria River cuts the desert landscape like a snake, winding through the wash just south of the camping area.
