The Lake Wilson Retreat is our 35 acre private property, peacefully situated atop the wooded mountains near Lake Wilson. On the property is The Shed, a simple campsite where you'll find a fire pit and a simple sleeping cabin with a full size platform bed frame and wood stove to enjoy. An ideal place to clear your head. The Shed comfortably sleep two (2) adults, but you are welcome to bring tents for up to to four (4) other additional campers. We provide a full size platform bed frame, but guests will need to bring their own blow up mattress or camp pads for comfort — as well as all bedding / pillows / towels. About Lake Wilson: Lake Wilson Park is comprised of approximately 320 acres of land with 28 acres of water. Park visitors can experience boating, fishing, nature watching, picnicking, and hiking. The park is also an off-leash dog park with both sunny and shady places for pets to enjoy. The nature trail runs almost entirely through the woods with views of the lake and ancient rock formations. There are also lots of beautiful wildflowers in the spring!

We are only a couple miles from the beautiful Elk River where many come to canoe, raft and kayak every year! We recommend the premier outfitter River Ranch Resort if you choose to book a float trip! We had a great time here. Beautiful land and cozy cabin. Very comfortable and great kitchen set up with induction stove and convection countertop oven. Everything was very clean and well stocked with everything from board games to laundry soap. The hosts John and Ginny are nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back when we can stay longer.

This little cabin in the woods was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Fayetteville. Not too far from town and located in a beautiful forest. We will definitely return. If you are a big coffee drinker, I recommend bringing your own.

We loved our stay at the Country Cabin. It's 15 minutes from downtown, but it feels out in the sticks. The cabin was clean and well-stocked, the A/C kept us cool, the shower was hot, the kitchen had everything we needed for meals. The nights were quiet, perfect for fires and nature. We will be back!

We had such a great experience at the Rt. 62 campground. We stayed in the Bungalow cabin with our dogs. The grounds were lovely with a lot of different activities. The jacuzzi tub was a fun addition. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again!

This was a great spot that felt very secluded for being so close to town! It was nice and quiet throughout our time there. We enjoyed the short walk down to the lake. We tent camped with our dogs and used the shed for dry storage which was so nice to have. Chairs and fire pit tools were an added bonus. As with any Arkansas camping, be sure to use your bug spray and check for ticks often!

This was a beautiful piece of land that offered privacy and everything about the shed was perfect and as described. We really enjoyed our time. The recreational lake near the property was busy that weekend so there was some noise from that but it also offered some lovely trails which we enjoyed hiking and exploring.

Weekend Trip to Tin Top Village

Upon arriving at this cabin, it immediately became my favorite. I was in Arkansas for a gravel race and needed a restful, relaxing environment to recharge and recover. In addition to the cutest decor, there were so many extra thoughtful spaces throughout the cabin. I enjoyed sipping coffee on the screened porch in morning. Evenings were spent by the fire enjoying the stars. All the firewood and grilling supplies were provided at no extra cost. I enjoyed all the wonderful reading materials supplied throughout the cabin carefully placed for maximum enjoyment. Vicky even supplied coffee, spices, food and every kitchen convenience. If you enjoy cooking, this place has lovely dishes for inside and even picnic supplies for an afternoon hike. The only time I was sad when I had to pack up and leave. I am already planning another bike adventure so I can get back to this quiet, cozy, cute cabin in the woods.

Our stay at Vick’s cozy cabin was perfect. The place was exceptionally clean and very comfy. We had no issues with getting hot water even while it was very cold out. The oven worked great and the whole kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. My boyfriend (who is 6’4) were pleasantly surprised at how comfy the bed was, we slept great during out two night stay! Extra kudos for allowing pets, our pups absolutely loved this place as well. The screened in porch was the cherry on top for us and where we spent most of our time since the weather was dreary. A+ to Vick for being helpful and a genuinely kind host.
