FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site. Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips. We DO allow tent camping. Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi. An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm. Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired. The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse). There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

Very private, huge site. We stayed 4 nights only left once for a winery. Caught some bass and bluegill on a Arbogast Hula Popper and some catfish on Canadian Crawlers. Lake was perfect for kayaks.

We will be returning ASAP! My Daughter and I stopped here very quickly, just to sleep between adventures but we plan to return to access to amazing forest and trails. We were greeted by an owl upon arrival and the chanterelles wished us a goodbye the next morning! Perfect spot close to lake Keowee and many many other fun nature to explore.

This spot was one of the best finds for my reactive pups and me- safe, private, peaceful, extremely spacious, and well maintained. We had a great view of the stars too. Larissa was a great host and very responsive. Will definitely be coming back! Just a heads up - I didn’t have signal once I got to the clearing (occasionally could connect to satellite), but it was nice to disconnect. Not a con. Highly recommend!

Amazing secluded spot. All hookups available. Great scenery from your temporary home. Has a dock to fish from. This was our first trip with the new travel trailer and were able to bring our two dogs with us for their first camping trip. Towed a 2026 wolf pup 16cm (23feet long) with a 2025 Ford Ranger and still had plenty of room. Mike made sure we knew if we need anything to not hesitate to ask. We didn’t need anything but always nice to have excellent hosts. The campsite was clean.

I'm new to the area and have been trying to get into a shelter but everywhere I've called has no beds available. I'm in outdoor enthusiast so I've always enjoyed camping however State park camp sites can run from $40 a night and up. This app provides places for me as low as $16 a night. The host I've met so far have been happy to see us booking the site. This app is a life saver for me. The camp sites have charm, thought and love to them. Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

Outstanding campsite on the saluda river. My brother and I spent 2 nights here and enjoyed fishing and camping all day. Kayaking up and down the Saluda was rewarding and there was a really nice beach spot to fish. Caught multiple stripper, large mouth and flathead. Host was really nice and provided plenty of firewood for the site. Didn't get around to using the shower but its there. Also has a nice outhouse that doesnt stink at all. 100% would recommend
