Very Friendly and accommodating, beautiful location! Jackie is good company and has established a real community-vibe with her campsite.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay! Jackie met up with us before check in to show us around to the different swimming spots! The actual camping spot was amazing and absolutely gorgeous. The outhouse was awesome! 100% I’d recommend this place to everyone

I absolutely loved camping on Jackie’s land at (Backwater Paradise)! The campsite was large enough to easily accommodate my Toyota FJ SUV and teardrop trailer, yet very private. There are no neighbours. The site itself is situated right at the shore of Jackie’s private Lake Hope and across the gravel road from her home, which is a bit further up the hill. I was fortunate enough to have the entire campsite area and lake all to myself, although the area could easily accommodate group camping with several large Class A/B or C rigs. Treetops aren’t an issue. The lake was warm and refreshing to cool off in and offered good comfort for bathing and swimming. We even took out the electric motor boat to try our hand at fishing for pike and bass. There is also a paddle boat. Wildlife abounds Including beaver, loons, swan, black bears and even mountain lions (rare glimpses in past years). An added bonus was “The Throne” outhouse, that was literally the cleanest and largest one I’ve ever seen, liken to the throne of England! Another plus was visiting Jackie’s many varieties of hens and turkeys, and receiving some fresh laid eggs for my morning breakfast. There’s also a large non-potable water reservoir to refill your RV or just for use as an outdoor shower. Jackie is a gracious host and she will strive to make this camping experience the best you’ll ever have! I strongly recommend Jackie’s Backwater Paradise for your next real camp experience! A rare find! 5 STARS for this paradise!!!!!
