Site 2 - Chatty Heifer Farm
Oh my goodness we enjoyed our stay at Patti’s so much! Not only was it quiet and peaceful right on the creek, but our spot came with 3 bonus guard pups! And Patti was just lovely and so accommodating with our last minute booking. I’ll be returning soon with my pup! :-)

Site 3 - Chatty Heifer Farm
This was a wonderful tranquil experience! I was at site 3 which is a more open than site 2, which is in the trees. Site 2 has easier access to the creek and that fire pit is on the creekside, but site 3 has a rock shelf that you can sit on while relaxing at the creek as well as the little waterfall Patti calls creek music 😃 There are all kinds of birds and butterflies to watch. Patti was very welcoming and her eggs are great! Wonderful bonus along with 3 new best friends that will hang out with you and make sure you stay safe from other wildlife! The turnoff road is almost directly between 2 towns with ample access to shopping only about 10 minutes each way. I would 100% stay again and recommend this experience!!! Thank you for opening your land and fur babies to me!

Site 1 - Chatty Heifer Farm
Great spot! There are three camp sites adjacent to a creek running next to a field. The road isn’t super far away, but it’s not a busy road.
Creek access is a little steep, but they’ve put in rope hand-holds to assist. The farm dogs are great and did well with both my 2yo daughter and lab puppy. Surprisingly not that buggy for late June in TN. Host is wonderful.
Site 3 is the most private (1&2 are fairly close, both closer to the road). Primitive sites- no toilet or water (other than the creek). Not much around but there’s a gas station not too far away that sells decent Hunt’s pizza, wood, and other supplies.

Site 2 - Chatty Heifer Farm
Nice little spot by a creek. My son loved it and two farm dogs and a German shepherd stayed with us the entire time. It was peaceful for the most part. There's a state highway really close and another road extremely close and that should probably be made more prominent in the description. Traffic was loud at times and we weren't expecting that. Gil was nice and gave us some eggs which were delicious! We enjoyed it.

I loved it here!!! I enjoyed meeting the owners who were so kind, welcoming and responsive. I felt very safe and loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek. It was exactly what I needed. I will definitely be back as soon as possible!
We just loved our stay at the farm, from the dogs to the river, to the peacefulness, we can’t wait to come back again. The host is super friendly and the eggs were a nice gift.

Patti was an amazing host! We showed up at night and she still showed us to our spot and gave us the best spot she had for rainy weather. The dogs were also so sweet and guarded us all night and gave us company. She also offered us eggs which is so sweet! We had a great time here :)

Site 3 - Chatty Heifer Farm
We thoroughly enjoyed our night camping at site #3! Our 3 crazy kids had a blast exploring the creek & running around the large field, while our dog enjoyed making friends with several of the sweet farm dogs. Patti was an excellent host & did a wonderful job communicating all of the information related to our stay. We look forward to returning in the future!
My partner and I made a last minute decision to go camping when our schedules changed. Patti was extremely friendly and communicative immediately when we made our reservation. I really enjoyed hearing from her. The campsite is not very far from Nashville and was a perfect getaway. The campsite has three guard dogs that are SUPER sweet. They were very playful with our 1 and 1/2 year old German Shepherd (who still thinks he’s, like, a 6 month old). We also felt very happy that these dogs were guarding us during the night. The road is somewhat close to the campsite but it didn’t have heavy traffic. This site was perfect for the three of us looking at a short, impromptu night away from home! The creek and birds were lovely to wake up to and we came home the next day cheerful and relaxed. We were at Site 2, but Site 3 also seemed great for a larger group.

We tent camped on the property. Our host was super friendly and one the massive Pirenesse dogs guarded our site all night. Really basic but super nice site.

Site 3 - Chatty Heifer Farm
Such a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Absolutely beautiful. Not too far from town if you forgot anything. But what may have been the best part was they had three dogs that just watched over us and our campsite. I felt extremely safe which is not the norm for me. Plus the host, Patty, one of the nicest women I have met on my travels. Definitely will come back.

Patti’s place is the best! Right there on the creek with such a beautiful property. Cool farm dogs come back and forth and check on you. She also gave us a dozen farm fresh eggs for the road! Can’t wait to go back to that little piece of paradise again.
We had a great time camping! We met Patti at her house and she gave us some eggs and took us down to the site. We stayed at Site 2 which is beautiful and covered by trees. Site 3 is also beautiful and more open with less trees. Patti's dogs are so sweet and stayed with us most of the time. My son loved them. We would definitely camp there again.

Site 2 - Chatty Heifer Farm
Site 2 was a nice shady spot by the creek. I was able to park my car under the trees. The creek and the shade were lovely, as was the open field that offered an amazing view of lightening storms off in the distance (and I imagine great stargazing when it’s not overcast). The three livestock guardian dogs came in and checked on me often, and I think one even stayed in my camp all night. Great spot, would book again.

Site #2 was the perfect location! Beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil. A great place to relax and recharge. The farm dogs stayed around the whole time and provided an extra level of security.

We had an excellent time tent camping at this site! Couldn’t ask for a more peaceful getaway! Upon arriving we were immediately greeted by 3 of the nicest dogs we’ve ever met. They gave us great company during the day and helped us feel safe at night! Patti was kind enough to bring us some farm fresh eggs which we were very thankful for! Would absolutely stay here again and hope to soon!
Upon arrival I was greeted by their friendly farm dogs, which stayed with me at my camp all night. Patti was very welcoming and gave me fresh farm eggs. The site is the furthest away from the road and neighbors the creek’s small falls that lulled me to sleep. The dogs kept the critters at bay and were a welcome site in the morning. Great site!

Great spot on the corner with easy access to the creek! Caught a few brookies! We had a lovely time! The night watch of the doggies was an added bonus! 💜
Site was great, loved the sound of the water as we tried to sleep. If it were a star rating, I'd say 4 of 5. It is off grid, I had no cell reception, but there was more traffic than I'd anticipated, including furry feet LOL! But it was cozy, spacious and would go back again without my own pets.

We had a great stay here and will return when we get the chance. Patti was very welcoming and great to communicate. Her dogs were great and chased something away one of the nights we were there. The creek was low, but you could still hear it well, and was a nice lullaby.

Perfect spot for a set up, flat land & a creek bed to cool off at! Host was very nice & welcoming. 3 furry friends who welcomed & guarded us all night. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot, especially being so last minute!

Loved the spot and very different than any place l have ever camped 🏕 at,put your food up for sure,lol the 🐟 was not good but the creek was clean and like it a lot
The site 2 is the best. Access to the creek with small rapids. I was able to put my large army tent in the nook of the cedar trees..not super private but quiet enough.. the dogs were a great asset to me because the coyotes are a bit nosey when the lights go out. The dogs chase them away and hung out with me the whole time.. being 64 yrs old and camping by myself I felt completely safe and secure. Patti was out of town but Gil made sure to check on me as I requested.i brought my beach water chair and was in the rapids most of the 4 days I was there reading and watching the butterflies and listening to the birds. The site is visible from the road. And a set of stairs or rock steps need to be there to access the creek more safely.. so in conclusion I had a wonderful experience and got some yummy eggs to being home for my family.. I will camp again with them at chatty farm.

Patti is an incredible host. The camping site #3 is the most beautiful and peaceful place I have ever camped. I highly recommend booking here!

This was the best staycation around Middle Tennessee for us, this campsite was perfect for us two adults and our two boys (7 & 8). We had two tents that slept perfectly level, and then there was a wonderful fire ring right by the water along a big rock beach. Our boys (and us) loved wading through the creek, checking out all the cool rocks, TON of crinoid, crawdads, salamanders, and other cool things. Our boys absolutely loved the 3 dogs and quickly adopted them for the weekend, they were so calm and gentle- they definitely made our trip even more special.
Super quick trip to Caney Fork Outdoors for kayak rentals down the Caney, so it was extremely convenient for our Saturday outing. The open field in the front of the campsite yields for wonderful stargazing too!
The host was super knowledgeable of the area and gave us some ideas of things to do & a great heads up about the store down the street. The eggs at the farm are delicious, some of the best yolk we’ve ever eaten! Highly recommend this hip camp and can’t say enough great things about it.
