My partner & I loved staying at Hidden Springs! We stayed for one night at the end of a several-day ling trip. It was the best way to end on a good note. đ
Larry & Antoinette are so hospitable. One of the first things we appreciated was that they had the fire pit set with wood & kindling already placed & ready to light!
The hosts also graciously supplied us with *delicious* homemade cookies & bread, fresh chicken eggs, & more. We continued to find hidden signs of thoughtfulness throughout the night - from having all the right appliances around, finding a stash of games to play, & rinsing off in the outdoor shower with a homemade bar of organic soap.
Lastly, a silly bunch of chickens hung out with us for quite some time, & we giggled often at the cows & turkeys making a ruckus in the distance.

If you have this saved as a potential spot just pick it! This place and these people are by far the best. Antoinette and Larry are the most perfect hosts you will ever meet. She made us cookies, bread, soap, her chickens left us eggs and she even gave us butter for the bread. Larry can make the hell out of a fire so just because it rained doesnât mean you wonât have fire. âMake it Fun!â That is Larryâs motto and they do everything they can to make sure you have the best trip possible. They have everything you need so you donât have to pack the whole car even though we always do. They had cots, chairs, pots, pans, coffee, a coffee pot, plates, eating utensils and knives for chopping, cutting board, salt, pepper, oven mitts, a grille, grilling utensils, a gazebo with bug netting and privacy layer, a toilet, water heater, fresh purified drinking water that comes from a spring, an outdoor shower, towels, a fire pit, firewood, a kitchen sink and even more! The chickens were friendly which we loved since we had to get rid of ours when we moved to the city. There were times when we just sat under the gazebo and contemplated staying forever. There were nights we just looked up at the stars trying to pick out constellations. There was no light pollution so the stars seemed even brighter than normal or maybe it was the magic of feeling like you just belong there. They make you feel like family and so welcomed it was heartwarming. Thank you so much Antoinette and Larry! Youâre the best!

We absolutely loved our stay at Antoinette and Larryâs place! We could not have asked for a better spot. They provided unlimited firewood, fresh cookies, ice, butter, and even a space heater was ready for us where we slept. We cooked over the fire, but thereâs also a grill with propane.
I always bring my camp kitchen stuff with me, but thereâs no need for it here. They have every you need, including a sâmores kit and a sink to wash all the dishes.
Getting to know the chickens was also a highlight! We loved everything about it and itâs in our top spots for places to stay in this area now â¤ď¸

Antoinette and Larry have put a lot of thought and effort into making their guests comfortable and it shows.
A loaf of bread still warm from the oven, fresh baked cookies, butter and eggs were waiting in the kitchen area, the fire pit was prepared and the property is great!
The location is minutes from all the creature comforts you may want yet you feel hours away at the peaceful farm.
You wonât be sorry you booked!

The views are beautiful, it's private and comes with SO many amenities that you don't expect with "camping".... we would stay here again for sure!! They provide all of the extra special touches that make this place super enjoyable. Great for star gazing also!

Larry and Antoinette are some of the sweetest people Iâve ever met, and theyâve created a gorgeous little spot right outside of Asheville
She stocks it with farm fresh eggs and homemade cookies and bread too! I had an absolute blast here (best night of a 7 night full east coast road trip) They even make their own soap!
If youâre in the area, stop by and spend some time here, you wonât regret it

We had an incredible time here. Antoinette and Larry have paid attention to every detail and then some. We felt welcomed but also had our privacy. They were great with the kids-super friendly dogs, homemade bread and chocolate chip cookies (!!), and we got to collect fresh eggs. The night sky was mind blowing. Worth every penny.

Camping at Hidden Spring was such a treat! Even with the freezing temperatures (in the 20s), Antoinette and Larry offered such great care that it warmed my heart. The listed amenities themselves are enough but the extra care they put into this experience that goes above and beyond made this the ultimate glamping experience for me.
The rustic camping chairs around the campfire ring are really cool. The hosts provided puh-lenty of firewood so I spent a lot of time sitting in those chairs around the fire.
The flush toilet was such a welcome sight for me! Where can you find such luxury that was literally three steps away from the cot I slept on? It was clean and convenient.
The hosts allow you privacy to enjoy yourself and encourage you to "make it fun". Antoinette was sure to let me know, though, that they were just down the hill if I needed anything when I let her know that it was my first time camping alone.
I heated up one of Antoinette's homemade cookies on the grill side burner for breakfast, 'cause why not? You could taste the love in it. I ate it as I watched the sun come up over the hill. I did not need to bring one single thing to cook with. I cooked the farm fresh eggs provided along with toasting the delicious fresh bread Antoinette left. Yum!
Meanwhile, their chickens serenaded me with their egg songs. This added to a great country atmosphere.
I hope I am able to return one day during a slightly warmer month. Thank you for the care you put into HS!

Our stay at Hidden Spring was excellent. This is the definition of glamping - everything and the kitchen sink! So many thoughtful amenities are provided, right down to the salt and pepper we left at home. The location is private and remote, while still providing things like fast WiFi and a hot shower. The hosts are also incredibly nice people and we felt very welcome. This spot is worth booking just for Antoinetteâs amazing cookies!

So far the best HipCamp experience by miles. This is a new place that wonât stay âhiddenâ for long. Make your reservation now. Iâve no doubt Antoinette will be listed a Superhost. Amenities are amazing from not only what is listed: toilet, shower, kitchen prep area, fire pit, etc but also the touches that Antoinette goes out of her way to do such as: homemade cookies, bread, eggs, sâmores. Used it all except the sâmores. It was all delicious. Such graciousness. Star gazing was amazing. I canât say one bad thing about this amazing host and location.

Such a cozy glamping destination! It'd be perfect to settle in before a cycling trip on a nearby trail, or just a relaxing getaway with friends.
Antionette & Larry were excellent hosts and even gave us fresh homemade bread, cookies, eggs from their chickens, and their very own Hidden Spring soap. I'd highly recommend their site. They've got such a great setup with a little kitchenette, a fancy s'mores kit, the works!
The guidebook will give you any info needed, and your communicative hosts are just a message away if you need. I'd highly reccommend!

Fabulous glamping site! It's so peaceful and quiet, yet still so close to Mars Hill, Marshall, Weaverville, and Asheville.
The amenities were excellent, with a delightful outdoor shower, flush toilet, spacious "kitchen" and sink with a potable spring-fed faucet, grill, top notch grilling utensils, eating wares, coffee and French press, cooler, firepit, chairs and cots, large metal-roofed canopy for camping under (it has mosquito netting and opaque walls you can zip down like a tent), great mood lighting, and fantastic hosts!
The setting is quiet, with only the distant sound of cows, birds all around, crickets, the breeze, a crackling campfire (which Larry is happy to build for you if you'd like), and peeping frogs to "disturb" you. No sirens. No horns. No noisy neighbors. And the stars are brilliant.
It's on a small homestead farm, which means delicious fresh eggs for breakfast from their cage-free chickens! There are more homestead surprises in store as well from Antoinette. And free smores :)
I was much in need of a break and some true R&R. Hidden Spring was the perfect place to check out from the day to day in a comfortable, convenient, and beautiful rural setting. That said, free wifi is available if you need to stay connected.
The Sanders are very thoughtful and considerate hosts with a beautiful property to relax and unwind on. Highly recommend.
