Green Glades adjoins our other property, Pause Eco Retreat. Only two drive up sites are on the property, and both overlook farmland where goats and cattle graze. The property is on a private road, so the sites are blissfully restful and quiet. A family owned grocery, Presnell's, is within a few minutes drive. West Asheville is 35 minutes away, and Downtown Waynesville is a 15 minutes commute, but you will enjoy blissful serenity here. Canton, which is 15 minutes drive, has a supermarket, gas stations, and lots of fast food options. Downtown Canton has the world's best coffee (Papertown Coffee) and a very eclectic restaurant/store called Grateful Table. The Green Glades campsites are a great place to get off grid and get some quiet time. If you get the hiking bug, you can access our adjoining property, Pause Eco Retreat for several miles of the best hiking/views the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. Just ask Jill or Fara for the gate code. You're also welcome to tank up with fresh spring water there.

Glades South is a 20X25ft flat campsite set high and back from the private road for a serene stay. Mature trees shelter from the wind, and there are glorious views of a sunny hillside where goats and cows graze. Enjoy a campfire under the stars framed by 100ft hickory and locust trees. Presnell's, a family owned locally sourced grocery store is within minutes. Asheville is 35 minutes away. Waynesville is 15 minutes drive. You have the 45 acre property to explore - the summit is private and has long range views of Crabtree Bald, the highest peak in the area. A waterfall crowns the entrance to the property and can be explored in warm months. Our adjoining property, Pause Eco Retreat, is a few minutes away by car, and has fresh spring water and a portapotty for campers.

Glades North is a 15X20 flat spot nestled in a valley overlooking a farm. You will park a few feet away and step up to this dry, elevated campsite backed up to mature trees. From your campsite you can hike to the summit of the property for views of Crabtee Bald. You can explore the nearby waterfall in warmer months. For those that need it, a portapotty and fresh water are provided at our adjoining property, Pause Eco-Retreat, which is 1/2 mile away by car.

Glades South is a great little spot. Your camp sits across from a pasture so you'll get to watch the adorable cows. There is a trail behind the sites that leads up to the ridge for an amazing view. If you have time pop over to Eco-Retreat and go for a hike. The views are beautiful over there as well and it will have you booking a spot there the next night. The flat spot for the site could fit a 2-4 person tent.

Loved car/tent camping at Jill and Fara's farm. The parking is very close to the site and makes it easy for transporting gear. The land was quiet and beautiful. The cows were great friends to wake up to! Close enough to Pisgah trails without being in the crowds.

Beautiful, peaceful pasture spot!

I had an amazing camping experience this weekend. Our campsite was a small, flat, grassy spot tucked away in the woods with a beautiful view of the pasture. The hosts were incredibly helpful, and we enjoyed the neighboring facilities and trails at Pause Retreat.

Amazing Trip! Jill and Fara went above and beyond to accommodate and provide an amazing experience. The hiking, the views, the peace is all that you could want at any of their locations! Take the trip, you wont regret it. Great for a new camper looking for a place to escape and a formidable hike to the top of the mountain. The Horse Hosts were kind and pay you a visit on occasion!
