Mollie Mae, our Golden Doodle, welcomes you to stay on her quaint little chicken ranch in Peru, NY. Our property consists of 2 acres surrounded by apple orchards, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry fields, corn fields, pumpkins and more! We have segmented a portion of the property for use as a RV/Tent site, with 30A electric, water, septic hookup, fire pit and picnic table, with plenty of space for vehicles, and room for kids to run around. Note there is no host-provided toilet here. Campers must provide their own. Close by is a petting zoo, playground and country store all open to the public. Many other attractions within driving distance. Mollie Mae’s Chicken Ranch also makes a great home base location for anyone interested in venturing out to the surrounding areas. Whether it’s spending time on the beach at Ausable Point campground, golfing some of the surrounding courses, paddling or boating the waters of Lake Champlain, hiking the hundreds of trails in the Adirondack Mountains, leaf-peeping northern New York and Vermont in the fall, or visiting the Olympic Village in Lake Placid, there are so many things to see and do within a short driving distance. We are just 4.1 miles from Ausable Point campground and Lake Champlain, 4.6 miles from Ausable Chasm, 7.9 miles from Bluff Point Golf Resort, 12 miles south of Plattsburgh, 34 miles from Whiteface Mountain and 38 miles from Lake Placid. You can also take the Lake Champlain ferry from Plattsburgh and a short ride to Burlington, VT, which is about 41 miles away in total. If you want an international, metropolitan experience Montreal, Canada is only 71 miles north, but still close enough for a day trip. PLEASE NOTE OUR PET POLICY: While we do allow pets, as we have semi-free range chickens on our property and families with children who frequent the playground, petting zoo and corn maze next door, we do not allow any potentially aggressive breeds of pets including bully breeds. Jason and Kim are extraordinary hosts — very thoughtful and welcoming. The property is lovely and well maintained, with a fire pit and comfortable Adirondack chairs. Kim even let our daughters help her feed the chickens — such a fun and surprising experience! We loved our stay and will definitely be back next year to enjoy it again and pick apples at the nearby orchard.

Great, flat site with full hookups! My kids loved all the animals and playground within a short walk of the site. It was partially shaded, which was great to be out of the direct afternoon soon. Hosts were wonderful as well!

What a beautiful little piece of paradise! A sunrise that won’t soon be forgotten over the mountains. Jason was prompt to welcome us to their property which conveniently adjoins to the neighboring apple orchard which also has a petting zoo and great playground for the kids. Jason’s wife was also amazing and made us feel right at home knowing it was our first RV trip. 10 out of 10!

We had the best time at Jason’s site this weekend. He is a great host (very communicative and welcoming). The space was pretty flat and it was easy to set up camp. Loved the full hookups! There is a great farm next door and our kids loved walking through the orchards. We enjoyed doughnuts and cider and there is an awesome playground plus a corn maze! It’s great to have so much to do within steps from the site. Our 3 year old is obsessed with tractors so watching the John Deere farm tractors pass by the site was a fun surprise. It was very occasional and not a disruption for us. A great location - a beautiful 45min drive brought us to Whiteface and Lake Placid. We appreciated the firewood and delicious fresh eggs waiting for us when we arrived! A perfect weekend, wonderful family memories…we’d love to come back again next year!

Our family of 5 had an amazing time at Mollie Mae’s site. The host was kind and generous and the site itself was perfect. Great space that is flat and has huge shade trees. The fire pit has great seating. The site shares a road with Rulfs Apple Orchard and morning walks through the fruit trees was fun for all of us. Our family would highly recommend this site and we hope to return!

We enjoyed our stay. We were greeted with a dozen farm fresh eggs and a beautiful grassy site. Great place to stay close to Burlington VT. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had such a great time at our 2 night stay. The proximity and quality of the nearby farm makes this such a unique spot. We ended up buying several pounds of blueberries and raspberries to take home. 10/10 would recommend and do again.

This is such a lovely site! Everything was super easy, and yay for fresh eggs! Site was relatively level and the fire pit area and picnic table were much appreciated, even though we didn’t have a chance to have a fire. Highly recommend!

This site was perfect for a weekend trip with friends & pup! Exceptionally friendly people who made sure we had everything we needed… even when they were dealing with much more important real life things at the time. The site was quiet & spacious with a great fire-pit and picnic table set-up. Easy access to the orchard next door to visit & get some donuts & fudge. Shady spots with lots of trees, too, which was perfect for pups to relax. Would recommend, would visit again!

Kim and Jason did a wonderful job making a very private spot for campers to enjoy. We enjoyed the fire pit almost every night. You can walk the paths in the apple orchard for a morning stroll or an evening walk. Full hookups right at the site and the site is perfectly level. We would definitely visit again in the Fall during apple picking season. The location of the property is close to Ausable Chasm and other area attractions. Thank you Kim and Jason for being gracious hosts.

Jason’s campsite is clean and was perfect for our weekend stay. Location is great right next to the orchard which would be a lot of fun during berry and apple season. Furthermore, Jason was a fantastic host.

The spot was perfect! The hosts were super communicative and obliging. It’d be great for a longer stay, but since it’s close to the highway, it’s also perfect for an overnight break. We’ll definitely stay again.

We came up to see the eclipse and had a magical time! The site in the back borders an apple orchard and a çorn field. It is quite lovely, offering space and privacy. Kids loved star gazing at night and roasting marshmallows. In the morning they ran across the field to the petting zoo and a playground near by. Jason and Kim are warm and generous hosts. Jason helped resolve multiple issues with my rented camper, ensured id have WiFi access, and was accommodating in every way. Kim brought us fresh eggs from her chicken farm. We came up to make some memories for the kids and this place was perfect!

Nestled in the heart of apple orchard, Mollie Mae's Chicken Ranch offered a delightful getaway on their charming property. Situated on 2 acres surrounded by picturesque apple orchards, berry fields, cornfields, and more, this RV/Tent site was a peaceful retreat. The spacious site, equipped with 30A electric, water, septic hookup, a fire pit, and a picnic table, felt like our private campground. There was ample room for vehicles and plenty of space for kids to play. Only a short drive from the breathtaking Ausable Chasm, made for a nice day hike. The Neighboring Orchard is within walking distance and has a petting zoo with friendly animals, along with a playground for the kids. In the fall, guests could enjoy wagon rides to the pumpkin patch and explore the neighboring corn maze. A large country store nearby offered fresh produce, breakfast & lunch options, local products, and delicious bakery treats like cider donuts, apple pies, and cookies.
