Relaxing and peaceful
Loved camping at On the Clarence camping!
Such a relaxing place where the kids could be free - having 3 kids and I was able to sit and relax in my chair - that is normally
unheard of!
The amenities were very clean and fresh which was also a bonus!
The only issue to be aware is the road driving in is very bumpy - so check your bike attachments as our were a little loose 🫣

Beautiful!!! The landscape is breathtaking, the river is beautiful to swim and canoe in and the stars were incredible. Toilet and shower block were immaculate and have everything you need. Loved seeing the cows cruising around and birds everywhere. My family had the most wonderful weekend, will definitely be booking another trip.

Great spot, beware the neighbours.
Great spot, good amenities block, not terribly populated for an Australian day weekend.
I would mention that you have to traverse private property to gain access to the campground, which I wasn’t aware of. Stopped on this property as it’s on the road in/out to make a phone call as it’s where reception kicks in (fridge died and was calling the manufacturer to sort it out) and then proceeded to cop an earful from a lovely lady who informed me in no uncertain terms that I was indeed trespassing on her land. Not that big of a deal, just got the wife wound up a little!
Apart from that it’s a cracking spot.

We absolutely loved our stay at On the Clarence. The river was the perfect temperature and speed when we went and we spent very relaxing days floating around, both at the camp area and up at the “Rapids”. Courtney was an absolute legend, stepping in for her parents to host and doing me a huge favour involving me being in their space - she was so friendly and it was great to learn more about her family’s property from her. Great toilets and shower. Just awesome all round.

A bit of a drive but well worth it.
Great river for all activities.
The bathrooms were clean and great showers.
We had 18-20 different groups and we all had our own space - didn’t feel overcrowded

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Plenty of room to spread out. River was great for swimming and paddle boarding. First class amenities. Will be back.

Perfect serenity
We had an absolutely awesome time getting away from the hustle and bustle. Relaxing at the camp next to the river and going for a swim made this location absolutely perfect, we could not recommend it more highly.

Lovely spot to camp, river was beautiful to swim in! So lovely to sit and watch the cows walk and graze around you and plenty of birds to watch too. Clean facilities. Plenty of firewood.

Great property to camp. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the bustle & bustle. Great amenities, clean & well looked after. Beautiful location with water access for swimming & canoes

We just loved it here and will definitely come back again. The amenities were clean & modern. Nice hot showers. The views were spectacular and plenty of firewood and birdlife. The road in was good as well.

We camped at On The Clarence for 4 nights over New Years. The land was spacious with plenty of areas to distance yourself from other campers. The river was beautiful for a daytime swim and the fire pits were a great nighttime feature, with firewood for sale on the property. Toilet and shower facilities were clean, modern and much better than we had expected. Owners Mick and Margie were friendly and accommodating. Overall we had an amazing time camping here and will definitely return. 10/10 would recommend.

Last minute decision to go camping stumbled upon this place, one of the best places I've been. Well maintained massive camp ground. We swagged it beside a camp fire went 4x4ing and fishing with the kids. I'll be back for sure

Clarence bliss
Very open and beautiful camping area. Stand out amenities with flushing toilets and showers is a major bonus for a bush camp. Watch out for the cow pats while riding or walking around. River was clean and great for swimming. Thank you Mick, I'll be back.
