Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Happy Camp is the perfect quiet place to relax and unwind. You can chill in a hammock, listen to nature and do absolutely nothing if that’s your thing. If you’re looking for adventure, you’ll find fishing, floating, and swimming just a few minutes walk to River access or an even shorter drive away. There’s also Boiling Spring access five miles away. Grill your own food or visit the restaurant and bar located right before the spring. If the weather turns icky, hang out indoors and shoot some pool. The Ozark Scenic Riverways are not far, and if you like to cruise around and discover new places, you could spend a day exploring local attractions or visiting the many beautiful springs in the area. Montauk State Park is 15 miles from camp. Trout fisherman paradise! Our camp site is great place to off grid camp. There is about 1 1/2 acres cleared out to enjoy. There is plenty of room for up to 4 tents or one self contained RV. There is a designated fire pit and BBQ grill for your use. We are a ten minute walk or 5 minute drive to Cantrell Ford access on the spring fed Big Piney River. It’s an excellent place to hop in the crystal clear river and cool off nearby. The Boiling Spring access is just a 5 mile drive. You can watch the ice cold spring “boil” out of the rock ledge. It’s a gorgeous location to swim or catch small mouth. There are picnic tables and a privy there. There is a float trip outfitter next to the spring access. You can book a 5 or 8 mile float. It’s a fantastic way to spend a day and then come back to camp. The site is also only about 15 miles from Montauk State Park. If you like to trout fish, the Current River is where you want to be.
