A century farm located in the heart of Minnesota lakes country. The property features a hobby farm, abundant wildlife, woods, fields, pastures, and ponds. My great-grandfather homesteaded this land in 1893. Today my four children are the fifth generation of our family to grow up on the farm. We are happy to share it with you during your stay and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Conveniently located near area lakes and trails. About 20 miles from the nearest town, there is an Amish general store nearby to purchase supplies.

Toad Creek Bunkhouse

Cozy spot for the solo traveler, hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman. Converted milk house into a shouse with a wood stove and propane furnace for heat. Living space includes a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, sink (no running water), corner bar, pub table and stools, TV with DVD player, radio, and games for entertainment. Bedroom area includes a twin sized log bed (a rollaway bed is available for one extra person), dresser, and desk with chair. (No bathroom, but there is a bucket toilet) Home cooked farm to table meals are available for an additional fee (contact host)

Toad Creek Hunting Shack

Rustic, off-grid, seasonal campsite with an unfinished cabin and outhouse. Please note, this location is not for the faint of heart — it’s for those who like to rough it or get away from the modern world for a day or two. Use the two room cabin or pitch a tent next to the creek. Located on the west end of the property, about half a mile from the farmstead, this site is very private. There is no running water, electricity, or Wi-Fi, and a vehicle capable of navigating a bumpy, wooded trail is required to access the campsite.
