Great Hostess, accommodating It was what I expected it to be. I would recommend staying here. Camp site 1 is where I stayed based on reviews & I like that it is in the back corner private.

Met camping needs.
Would have been more pleasing to have mowed the campsite or weeded around the fire pit.
A little too strict on dog leash policy when no other campers around and the owner's dog ran freely around production beds.
Trails are mowed paths in a field.

The farm was a lovely place to stay. Karen was an excellent host, very accommodating and had very clear directions. There was a lovely walking path right next to our campsite on the farm that I recommend. We would definitely stay here again.

This spot is magical. Karen and Jason were incredibly welcoming even though I came in a little late - I had a beautiful view of the prairie and their farm. Slept amazingly, will definitely be back!

Beautiful, peaceful small farm site with prairies to walk through. Karen was so kind and provided tons of recommendations for things to do in the area! we went swimming at Stone Lake down the street. It was beautiful. the fire pit was wonderful, too. thank you karen!!:)

Karen is an incredibly gracious host. She was very proactive to ensure I was welcomed upon arrival and generously gave me a tour of her beautiful farm property and super cool herb (and so much more!) shop. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her creative endeavors and farm projects. After so many hours of driving I also appreciated the farm's walking trail, listening to the sounds of nature and viewing the varied flora. This weary traveler also slept well, waking up fresh and ready to tackle another long interstate 80/90 travel day. I hope to return to Karen's farm on my next eastward x-country journey!

Absolutely beautiful spot! Very well suited for tent campers, over landers and/or van lifers. The site was well maintained and Karen was very kind and friendly. Outhouse is clean and well maintained and water is easily accessible!

We had the best time on Karen’s farm! Her land is so beautiful and fun to explore. The spot we stayed at had afternoon/evening shade and some privacy, which was really nice. Karen is a great host, she communicated well and was accommodating. She was also just really nice to talk to. We will definitely stay here again if we’re ever in that area again!

Karen's farm is an amazing oasis, one of the best Hipcamp finds for us. We loved meeting Karen and Jason and learning about the work they do for the land and for the community. They've restored two parcels of native prairie with paths that's the perfect afternoon and morning walk. Karen couldn't be a more gracious host and our site was everything you can ask for, large shade tree, fire pit, gliding bench, and privacy. It was a real pleasure to meet a fellow ecologist in Jason and learn about his approach to better caring for the land. This is a real gem!

We had the best time! The space was just as described. It was perfect for stargazing and hanging out. We loved having a bonfire and walking through the prairies. Karen and Jason were the best hosts!

I loved tent camping at Karen's farm. Both Karen and Jason are always ready to go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Karen also maintains a list of "things to do" around ... and we made great use of that. The hiking trails at Boot Lake Preserve and the beaches turned out to be fantastic! It was a great camping experience! Thank you both Karen and Jason.

Karen’s farm is beautifully maintained. Her communication was fantastic. I appreciated her meeting me to check in, her welcoming presence and the list of suggestions of things to do in the area. I stayed on site #2 which was quiet and private. It was nice to have a composting toilet to use. My pup and I enjoyed the short walking trails. I will not hesitate to stay again if ever in the area.

Karen met me in front and immediately showed me where to park. The property is lovely with a fire circle, benches, and a picnic table. The spot looks over the (now harvested) corn fields and I saw deer, sandhill cranes, a bluebird.

The northeast corner of Karen’s farm was a really nice flat grassy space to park my rig to spend two nights while visiting my daughter in South Bend for Father’s Day weekend. I have no doubt I’ll want to stay on Karen’s farm again

We had a lovely time at the Farm Camp! It was a beautiful area and just perfect for a quiet weekend away from the city. Karen and Jason were incredible hosts - we even got a tour of the farm! Highly recommend this site to any group looking for a low key stay. Make sure to hit the farm store on your way out for local products!

Karen’s farm was a great place to camp for a weekend. The location was not too far from South Bend where we had family to meet but far enough away that we felt like it was a getaway.

This is a great location and a lovely spot to stay. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the farm, right next to all the fragrant herb gardens and colorful market gardens, plus a trail through a restored prairie. The campsite has nice soft grass for tenting, and you can park there. Nice benches around a firepit too. The farm shop has farm items and locally made foods (like elderberry jelly!) and craft items , including owner Karen’s silk scarves, and hand bound books. You can relax, learn about the farm and crafts, and explore the area. There are restaurants and shops just a few miles away, and you are less than a hour from Indiana Dunes parks on Lake Michigan.

The Farm was wonderful. It was a beautiful mix of prairie, organic farm and tall corn nearing harvest. Karen was very welcoming upon our arrival. Site was pretty secluded. Area abounds in things to do and see. We spent most our time at area lakes for swimming and reading.

Our stay at the Farm Camp was nothing short of incredible. Karen immediately greeted us and gave us the lay of the land, showing us where the water was, where to park, how to use the toilet, and provided us with firewood. The energy on the farm was truly infectious, and we were blessed with a beautiful, hot Michigan evening. The scenery and the walking trails could not be more beautiful, and Karen as well as her son Jason we’re happy to explain the different areas of the farm to us, the vegetables they were growing, and just about every other aspect of the farm. While driving across the country, we were worried where we would end up staying in the Chicago area, hoping not to settle on a cheap hotel. Thankfully we came across the farm camp, which became one of the absolute highlights of the trip. We will absolutely be back, and highly recommend this hip camp to anybody in the area!
