Generated from real Hipcamper reviews
This campsite offers a blend of farm life charm and serene landscapes, perfect for families and first-time campers. Visitors often enjoy the proximity to animals like horses and sheep, providing a unique rural experience. However, the noise from barking dogs and occasional cleanliness issues with the porta potty are recurring concerns. Despite these drawbacks, many find the peaceful setting and helpful host to be redeeming qualities.

Great spot for a first-time camper! Owner was responsive and accommodating to a last minute issue that caused a delay in check out!
Tent camped at Highland Hideaway with friends, Sept 2026.
Doesn't recommend
Broken glass & trash everywhere, portapot had maggots/flies and was very dirty, (small yappy) Dogs Barking until approximately midnight then again starting around 5, dog approached campground unattended, poison ivy prolific at our campsite.
Camped in a 31 ft travel trailer at Highland Hideaway with pets, Jun 2026.

Had a great time on our maiden voyage with a new trailer. Karen was great to communicate with. We booked the Highland Hideaway. Great site, but for us wasn't a good fit, as the fire ring, etc would have been on the driver's side of our trailer - away from our door. We had the place to ourselves, so Karen allowed us to hop to the next site over - was perfect with everything on the "curb side". Great views, very peaceful and some beautiful horses.
