Swamp Camp offers a unique peaceful retreat to nature enthusiasts in the heart of Louisiana swamp country. We are at the dead end of a quiet one mile road called “Happywoods.” Our camp, up on piers, is situated in the wetlands along the Tickfaw River and adjoining Tickfaw State Park. We look out onto a wilderness sanctuary with turtles, alligator, beaver, and otter along with a variety of water birds among the characters. The camp is built centered on a 300 plus year old cypress tree. The space The cabin is an open concept with high ceilings and two open lofts for sleeping. The bathroom has a sliding door for privacy. There are two walk up decks to enter the cabin from the outside. Below the cabin is another long, semi covered deck. Directly below the cabin is an additional sink and two toilets and two showers. The camp is situated on two acres of land with adjacent wetlands along two sides.
