This cozy fenced-in spot provides a place to plug in your RV and stay in the Big Easy in a safe, tucked away side yard just minutes from the Bywater, Marigny and French Quarter and a few blocks from the Mississippi River. You can drive, bike, or Uber to hundreds of bars and restaurants in less than 15 minutes. Enjoy your morning coffee on the brick patio and feel free to use the fire pit (fall/winter only) and hammock! The description says an acre because it is impossible to put in a smaller number, but the actual parking space is about 25 x 50 ft, with additional hangout space nearby. I am right next door (on the other side of the fence) if you need anything and can help navigate entering and setting up and give you a key to lock the gate with. Warning: If your camper/RV is tall, it is tight getting in because there is a branch near the gate that hangs down to about 10.5 - 11 feet. This is best for small pull behinds and camper vans.Enjoy the Holy Cross/Lower 9th neighborhood in the comfort of a secure fenced in yard just minutes from the Bywater, Marigny and French Quarter neighborhoods and a few blocks from the Mississippi River. This is a partially shady grass yard with a wooden privacy fence, hammock and stone patio with table. I am right next door if you have questions about the area or need help setting up and plugging in. Wifi available upon request. Beware: if you have a high RV/truck, there is a low hanging branch right before the gate that restricts access to rigs lower than 11 feet. NOTE: This is not a tent campsite. There is no bathroom/shower so you will need an RV with these facilities. Camp toilets not recommended - very close to neighbors.

I LOVE my hometown and was elated to be a guest on Kat's property! It was everything you could want for a low-key, comfortable, urban camping experience in the best city ever. Kat was wonderful on all fronts, the location and proximity was ideal, and the neighborhood vibes were local and chill. Great stroll to the riverfront. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon!

Unique spot in the city. Felt very safe. Kat was available from the moment we clicked. Easy enough access for my class A size van We were able to stay parked and got the day pass for the RVA public transport and moved around with bus and trolleys. Get the APP. Definitely keeping this spot on my radar for New Orleans

Perfect homebase for our Christmas adventure in new orleans. We biked into french quarter and magazine street area during the day and ubered to frenchman st at night. Great communication w Kat.

I enjoyed my stay at Kat’s place. Great location! Downtown, the French Quarter and other cool places to explore are only a 15 minute bike ride away and Kat also had some great food recommendations (Katie’s!). Cool host, good location, would recommend!

I loved my stay at Kat’s little oasis in such a prime location, she went above and beyond during my stay. I am grateful for the time we got to chat, I found her easy to talk to, appreciated her knowledge on the area, local insight and community mindset. Being at the 8 month mark of living in a camper, I can’t describe how incredible it was to have access to all the amenities! Not to mention, she has a dog- what more could you ask for? This was a mildly difficult space to get into as a truck and camper, granted- it was dark and I was by myself- but absolutely doable, and worth it.

We had an amazing time in New Orleans and it started with Kat's cozy campsite! We were amazed at the beauty of her plants surrounding the seating area. Very peaceful and conveniently close to a lot of the attractions. Already looking forward to staying there again! Had 30 amp electricity and water for our camper. Our camper measures roughly 22ft long by 9ft tall on the edges by 7ft wide for reference.

Kat is a thoughtful host. The yard is nice, lush with elephant ear and fig trees. Location is great. Easy to bus to the French quarter and walk the dog along the Mississippi. Also the yard is fully fenced, so my dog could have outdoor time in total safety. We have a 3/4 ton truck and a 17' trailer. The street is narrow, so just getting lined up took some doing and backing in through the gate was tricky for us. It was a tight squeeze and we were unable to manoeuvre our door far from the fence because of this. If your set up is any bigger than ours, I'd recommend communicating with Kat first before booking. If your rig fits, you're good to go!

Great fenced place in an outstanding jumping off point for exploring the city. The French Quarter is a bike ride away, and during the constant event parking prices, the camp itself is the least expensive place to park, as well as stay. It is great for smaller campers.

Kat's place is amazing. The bus stop isn't far and it's literally 10 minutes away from the French Quarter. She is very nice to speak with and she makes good recommandations. If we ever good back to New Orleans, we'll stay there again!

Great spot! 45 minute walk to get to the Quarter and 3 minute walk to a nearby bus stop. I have a 19-foot travel trailer that fit the spot just fine. Fenced in yard with a locked gate was also a great safety feature for my rig. Kat was super accommodating, as well. Thank you again for everything!

Lovely yard next to Kats home with beautiful plantings and lovely host. Our 21 foot camper and truck fit perfectly although a trailer larger might feel crowded. Loved the proximity to good restaurants, Bourbon and Frenchman’s Streets. Highly recommend. Also, our dog loved the freedom a fenced in place gave her.
