The camp site, especially the second one, is great. The drive in is treacherous if you are towing anything or are in a low vehicle. The off-roading would have been fun in the truck if it weren't also towing a camper. The host is very responsive and helpful.

Please stay at this site. You will not regret it! It is an absolutely magical place! I've stayed twice in the last week. Yes, twice. Stayed for a weekend and then Went back for a one nighter to have the best seat for the lunar eclipse. If you want privacy, this is the site! If you want nature, this is the site! If you want peace and quiet, this is the site! So much space for tents and hammocks. A convenient fire ring. Clran and well kept space. The water is easily accessible, beautiful and free of garbage. There was an abundance of butterflies, dragonflies, OWLS, blue heron, and the list goes on! The road in is rough, as was expected from the host's warning. My Volkswagen sedan made it down the longest stretch of road into the clearing above the hill that leads down to the campsite. I did not attempt the hill down in my car, but the walk down wasn't terrible. Scott's directions to the site were perfect, even for this directionally challenged queen, and I had no problems finding the place. My first trip to this site was just myself and another woman, we felt perfectly safe and had a great time! Scott also had great burning firewood available for purchase, not the match sticks most campsites sell. And he delivered farm fresh eggs that we purchased! You will not regret visiting this magical place. Thanks for everything Scott!
There really aren't words to describe how perfect this site is if you want peace and quiet and wild life. Please book this site. Scott's directions to the site were absolutely spot on and easy to follow, even for this directionally challenged girl. The site was BEAUTIFUL! Well kept and spacious. Plenty of shade or sun, whichever you wanted. The river was cool and clean and easily accessible. The wildlife was abundant and the owls were absolutely magical. Scott had the firewood we ordered waiting for us and delivered farm fresh eggs. Plenty of spaces to hang hammocks. It was the most peaceful weekend we've had in a long time. There isn't a single thing I would change. The last stretch of road down into the campsite was too rough for my Volkswagen sedan. But the walk wasn't bad, it was expected and was well worth it! This campsite is absolutely everything you could ever want. You definitely want to visit this slice of heaven. Thank you Scott!
Enjoyed camping on Scott's Land we camped at the smaller site witch was large enough for 3/4 tents. The water was a little low but made the water flowing sound like a water fall, I slept so good in tent.

Had a nice size open spot woulda have room for 3 tent was next to creek back and the water sounded so perfect rolling by.
The site is GREAT! Close to the water and very clean. You can tell Scott takes his time and makes sure the site is well prepared. Scott was extremely accommodating and very nice. We requested some fire wood since everything was wet. Within no time he arrived with nice dry seasoned wood while offering fresh milk and eggs. We did not feel the site was extremely hard to access even with rain. When it says logging road it is that. However, a small 4x4 navigated it fine. Again, this was in the rain. Dry weather I do not feel a 4x4 would be needed. Definitely a great site and a FANTASTIC host!
Beautiful site! The creek is gorgeous with abundant wild life, we saw many fish, frogs, crawfish, turtles and even a blue heron. Two owls were hooting back and forth throughout our stay, and the site is so secluded and quiet you could hear them echo. The kayaks Scott has for rent are great too, going upstream from the site was a nice smooth ride. The site is great for kids, we have three kids 4 and under and the site is so secluded and the creek was just far enough away to give peace of mind. The road to the site is BUMPY, though. Definitely don't underestimate it. Scott was a great host, and had firewood and fresh eggs waiting for us when we got there. We'll definitely be back! Thank you, Scott!
It is is serenity you are seeking this is the place♡ Super great and accommodating hosts! We took our for labs and grandchildren. Ample space for all to run, swim while we rested and enjoyed the scuttle.
Beautiful spot! Scott was a lovely host and helped me get my fire started the first night. I spent the whole weekend playing in the creek with my dogs, roasting marshmallows, and reading in my hammock. Will definitely be coming back someday.
Excellent host, excellent location, 3rd trip this year here.

Great place to unplug and be in nature. Abundance of wildlife.
We absolutely loved primitive camping on Scott’s property by the creek. Our only neighbors were the deer, turkey, owls and foxes! Our fur babies were able to run free and enjoy the creek as well. We caught several small mouth and red eye bass! Scott was also an excellent host, offering fresh eggs, milk, and firewood! Will definitely be back when it warms up a little.
What an amazing location. The site is located on a wide, level, empty spot next to a gentle river. It has several trees suitable for hammocks, and the entire location is good for tents. There is a cave across the river. The host was so friendly, and are looking forward to returning.

Such a nice open space to set up and hang out. Sitting down by the water is always my favorite way to spend a day at twisted river.
Scott is great! Provided us with plenty of firewood and some areas of the property to check out.

Not for me. I booked, couldn't even find the place. Couldn't get an answer from the owner in time. Gave up and just left. I'm sure it was a great place, but it was impossible to find based on his instructions.
Amazing spot for a quiet secluded tent camp in a low clearing next to the creek. It’s a bouncy fun road from the gate to camp site. I considered parking inside the gate and hiking down and was able to make it in my CRV. Scott met me and was upper friendly and led me to the site and described the layout. Great host. Was fun to hike and explore the property a bit before dark. The sound of the creek was relaxing.
This is our 3rd stay here and we could not be happier with the place. Scott is an amazing host and this camping spot on his property is amazing. We got to see the otters plating in the creek on this trip and we had some deer visit. If you are looking for a peaceful, secluded spot to camp in this is the place. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

accommodating in the fact that he had helped me find my lost group lol. If you're looking for seclusion and serenity you should not pass this beautiful piece of land up. It does help to have 4x4 capabilities if you want to get to the spot next to the creek. Favorite spot thus far!
We had the spot close to the river. With the terrain we planned accordingly needing a 4X4 and it was dry enough that we had no issues getting in and out. The spot was perfect with space and trees for hammocks. My dog had blast playing in the creek and we even woke in the morning hearing deer down there. We stayed just a day and night but easily could see staying here for days. We very much look forward to reusing this spot.
We didn't actually make it to the campsite. I'm good to ride off road on my dual sport bike but the access road was quite muddy and remote and I didn't want to chance it with gear & my girl on the back. We ended up camping on the side of the access road and it was still awesome! Lots of nature sounds and very little traffic on the nearby paved road. Thanks!

Tent camping was amazing here! Totally secluded and just what the doctor ordered if you don’t want to be around strangers. Definitely recommend 4 wheel drive for the old logging trail described in the directions. Would definitely stay again!
Great privacy and a really peaceful experience. The river was awesome and very fun. The hosts were very helpful in getting us the proper directions. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get away from it all.
Me and my husband loved our trip out we took the off road trail all the way down with a Corolla "not recommended" the site was all the way down by the creek it was beautiful and the sunset was pretty as well! Surrounded by trees heard some turkeys and critters as well was peaceful!

I absolutely loved this stay. I have determined that this is my new spot for future camping trips. The hosts are so friendly and thoughtful! This location was peaceful and secluded and it was everything I could've asked for. I thank you Scott for allowing us to stay here and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, peaceful getaway in nature!
This has been by far the best place we have visited since we started utilizing Hipcamp. The camping spot is VERY large and is right next to the creek. There is a picnic table and a nice fire pit with a swivel grill already in place. Scott was great and was there to meet us when we arrived. He delivered our fire wood and eggs right to the campsite. The wildlife was fun to watch. We got to see several animals and heard a multitude of other animals throughout the night. We even had a deer and a couple otters pass through the campsite (Otters playing in the creek). We had a blast hiking and even did a little kayaking in the creek. The site is very secluded and private. The road to the site is a little rough but we were in our truck so we had no issues driving straight to the campsite and parking onsite. To date this was our absolute favorite spot to camp. We will definitely be going back very soon!

Campsite 3 was large, beautiful and secluded. Make sure your vehicle has decent clearance for the road back there. Our Ford Escape made it just fine. Firewood provided and farm fresh eggs that we cooked over the fire were fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

Make sure you have a AWD or 4WD suv. If you plan on parking by camp. Or else it’ll be a good 20-30 min walk to camp from your car. Super awesome site though. Way back in the woods and it’s a fun ride. Once back there there’s plenty of room. Could fit atleast 10 tents out there! Right next to the creek and there’s kayaks you can use there too. If I’m ever in the area I’ll definitely come back.
