What a fantastic location to stay at ! They are so welcoming. The fresh eggs are delicious. All the fun animals around. Trails to walk on. Great location and shuttle service for paddling. You can park anywhere in property and call it home. Ever so grateful for our time here.

The hosts are terrific people interested in making your stay easy and safe. Fear not the backwoodsy location, it is really a nice and Interesting refuge. Especially recommended for any paddlers interested in local river trips! Tracy is an experienced local guide and can provide the logistics and shuttles you need.

Catawba Organic Farm Pond Hut.
Tracy’s tiny cabin in the woods is really sweet. It’s definitely off the beaten path and for the adventurous, woodsy type. It’s good if you don’t mind a little walking as the bathroom kitchen shower and cabin are all in different locations. But I didn’t mind at all! The chicken in the shower at night was a bonus, lol. It can be a little chilly at night during the colder weather as the little cabin is three big open screened in windows with one solid wall on the back. Be prepared with some warm bedding if you’re prone to feeling a chill. Also definitely follow the directions for getting there.

AMAZING! These guys have put so much love into there land and are so welcoming and helpful. I could go on about things I loved here - I especially loved the outdoor shower and hiking trail loop!

Catawba Organic Farm Pond Hut.
My hippie, nature loving heart was over the moon for this place. So so peaceful. The energy here will soothe your soul. My favorite part was watching the fireflies at night through the screen of the pond hut while lying in bed. So magical! I couldn’t help but smile everywhere I went. Beyond grateful to have found this gem. I’ll be back for sure!

Great experience, would come back
Tracy was an excellent host. When we arrived, he took the time to show us around the lovely property, and even let us grab eggs from the chicken coop! The kitchen he let us use was very clean and had electricity, which was great for cooking at night. Pit toilet was well maintained and cleaning supplies were close by. In addition, there were two outdoor shower options, with one them having hot water and soap! Would definitely recommend staying here, and would rebook if in the area again.

Secluded spot in nature
We enjoyed our stay and listening to all the nature sounds at the pond. The hut was secluded and comfortable, and there was room to sit our 2 camp chairs inside the screened room to relax. Plenty of shade, but some sunny areas close by too which was nice for charging our solar gear. We had fun watching the chickens and guineas roaming around!

First off I must say the property is huge. The communal fire pit is awesome. The shower was great plenty of pressure and hot water. I would definitely stay here again. One thing when trying to find the place read the numbers on each mailbox, GPS will take you to the next driveway that is gated.

Absolutely wonderful stay.
Cool hidden gem. Spacious, beautiful, tranquil are only a few adjectives I could mention about this place. The sincere generosity and kindness from the hosts are truly heart touching. We were welcomed with the friendliest tour of the place and a glass of wine. We were given fresh organic eggs and freshly hand picked kale for a scrumptious breakfast that we cooked on the community kitchen. The cabin allowed us to feel immersed in nature. Also, a bountiful unlimited supply of firewood.
Oh! And the animals from the farm, I feel like we have bonded. Caesar the peacock so majestic, the hens and guinea fowls were so much fun to interact with.
I loved our stay and highly recommend it.

Perfect!
Great spot to land and unwind!
The hosts were away doing what we’re doing I guess so they had a friend Hosting and taking care of the farm and critters.
I was made very welcome with a couple of free eggs and some greens that were still Beautiful and delicious after wintering over in the garden.
I was shown around the growing farm, and the very pleasant hiking paths.
The “kitchen cabin” is remarkable. The freely available “sleeping cabin” is much like a meditation retreat center cabin in the woods.
The outhouse is a hoot! Perfect!
I hope to go back in the fall on the way
south and do a little work exchange, perhaps!

A beautiful property with gracious hosts and lots of kitties and chickens and peacocks running around. Brim and Marsha accommodated me last minute and I had a blast hanging out with fellow hipcampers at the bonfire and exchanging traveling tales. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!

Absolutely, a slice of paradise. The hosts were amazing - they took the time to give us a guided tour of the property and facilities. The outdoor shower was so amazing - no lack of hot water. We truly loved the camping area, the hosts sharing eggs, herbs & stories with us, and a beautiful firewood pit supplied with wood. If your in the area, it is worth making the trip.

Beautiful wide open areas as well as some spots tucked away if you wanted more privacy. Tracy and Marsha were great hosts and a wealth of information on the area and things to do.

The pond hut was plenty comfortable. All you need is a good sleeping bag and a pillow. You’ll have access to a kitchen with running water and a propane stove.

First of all, Tracy and Marsha are generous hosts. They have provided everything needed for a quick getaway. A fire pit with plenty of precut firewood. Was able to catch a few fish in the fishing pond. The kitchen came in handy with running water, a stove, electricity, and a wood burning stove. Tried some of the free range eggs and fresh vegetables. Also, was able to get decent cell phone service.

Terrific tree farm camping!
Such an amazing oasis in the woods! Tracy was such a great guy and showed us all around his property. Made us feel super welcome and opened his home up to us! If you’re in the area stay here :) and moonshine was the prettiest pup!
