Rob & Mike were excellent hosts! The “Far Away” site has excellent views of the night sky and surrounding woods. Sighted owls, fawn, all sorts of interesting insects, and the horses came to visit one morning. The pavilion was clean and well kept. Loved the trails and the farm tour too!

Peaceful Ranch, Amazing Hosts

We had the most amazing stay at Lucky U Ranch! Robin and Mike are incredible hosts who genuinely care about their guests and have created such a peaceful, welcoming place. The property is quiet, secluded, gated, and feels very safe—exactly what we were looking for. We needed air for our camper tires during our stay, and they were kind enough to bring over an air compressor to help us out without hesitation. The ranch is full of friendly animals, including goats, pigs, miniature horses, horses, donkeys, turkeys, and ducks, which made our stay even more special. There are marked walking trails, and it’s incredibly dog-friendly, making it perfect for traveling with pets. We even got a tour of their ranch which was awesome! The amenities were fantastic, especially for RVers. We had full hookups, access to clean showers, potable water, and a cozy community pavilion with a coffee bar. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up. It’s easy to see why Lucky U Ranch was named one of Hipcamp’s Top 50 campgrounds in the U.S. We loved every minute of our week here and can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a quiet escape with wonderful hosts, beautiful scenery, and plenty of animals to love, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Private Carport - Gated

This has been the best place we've stayed! Everyone is very friendly and happy to help any way they can. The view are amazing, the property is peaceful and quiet. It feels safer and more comfortable than anywhere we've stayed. You're free to interact with the horses and donkeys wandering the property throughout the day, so keep some carrots handy! The electricity has been reliable and steady throughout our stay of several weeks. And the price is fantastic, especially considering all the perks of staying here and the fact that we have a carport covering over our RV! The showers and bathrooms on site are so cool and very clean, you can tell they take great pride in everything they do here. Where the bathrooms are at, they have a small bin of outdoor toys for kids in case you need something to entertain the little ones. They also have Keurig coffee maker, a large dishwashing sink, a microwave, etc nearby the bathrooms in case you need. They have several well marked walking trails on the property. On the weekend if you want to participate, they do a farm tour where you meet the goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a while as we got ourselves ready and situated in the RV for full time living. It almost made us reconsider leaving and just maybe staying here lol. We will definitely be back when we come to Florida to visit family. Thank you Rob and Mike for such a wonderful stay and sharing your space with us!

My daughter and I had the most peaceful and amazing camping trip here at Lucky U Ranch! I highly recommend for families or couples or anybody looking to get away the crazy life of Florida. The ranch itself is very beautiful and upkeep. The public amenities couldn’t be better. The shower is the toilet and everything were absolutely incredible! And a top of it all off the livestock and the beautiful horses were absolutely just a cherry on top! All the animals are so friendly and roam around freely. It really is such a gem to Camp here! We tent camp at the magnolia spot. We couldn’t recommend it more. It felt very private and secluded, but still very close to all the amenities. I highly highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back this winter. Thank you so much to you both! And Mike, you are absolutely outstanding. I really appreciate your hospitality and generosity!

Camping with animal!

We loved staying with Rob & Mike. We were escorted to our campsite and given a brief tour of the shared spaces. Live Oak had a wonderful tree canopy which kept the temperatures manageable. Each day we were visited by donkeys and horses who were all very curious and friendly. We joined the tour Saturday morning and meeting all the goats, holding a kid, and meeting Lucy and the mini horses was the best! Rob and Mike are knowledgeable and friendly. Felt like I knew them for years! We will be back for sure!

Fantastic camping spot! The host Rob and Mike couldn’t have been nicer! They both met us at the gate and guided us to our RV camp spot! What a beautiful spot it was. All the necessities, potable water, 30 amp electric, sewer and great Wi-Fi reception. The view was outstanding overlooking a cypress forest with hiking trails. Friendly horses and donkeys roaming freely through the camp grounds. A bad thunderstorm rolled through and the electric didn’t even flicker! They also have showers and bathrooms. A kitchen with microwave and a deep sink for washing up. This is a working farm so you do have to navigate a few gates but very easy to handle. I highly recommend the Lucky U ranch either for a destination stay or just passing through stay! We will definitely be going back!

Such a lovely spot not too far from home. Plenty of space between sites, the most adorable bathrooms and showers, and the farm animals - oh my heart! Horses and donkeys do roam the property during the day and will absolutely come into your campsite to explore and potentially wreak some good natured havoc.

Rob and Mike were great hosts and very accommodating! The sites are well-placed and the bathrooms well-maintained. We enjoyed the animal guests on the property, although I recommend keeping your distance with the horses. The donkeys and goats were our personal favorite.

Definitely camp here!

We rented their camper which was clean, comfortable would definitely rent again. The property is beautiful quiet and peaceful. The best is having coffee in the morning at their coffee station, then having the donkeys and horses come on your site for carrots (bring plenty of carrots). Very clean and nice showers and bathrooms. Love this place.

Everything went well! I loved the facilities…very comfortable and very clean. I loved the daily interactions with the donkeys and horses. Of course we brought carrots for them, and I found myself standing in the middle of the horses feeding them! We even got a little tour of the ranch…beautiful place!

The best place to camp ever!

We had another fabulous time at Lucky U ranch. These hosts are so wonderful and gracious. Everything is so clean and accommodating. We got a full ranch tour and got to visit the new baby goats and all the other animals. I grew up on a farm and have had farm animals my whole life. I'm now retired and live in a 55 plus community in Florida and I miss my animal interactions so this is my go-to place for my horse and donkey fix. We were visited by donkeys and horses every morning and afternoon. This is just such a relaxing, quiet place to camp. What a wonderful place to bring your children to interact with the animals. We can't say enough about Mike and Rob as hosts. They are the best! We will be back again

Amazing campsite! The site was private and shady. They offer everything you need: a nice shower, activities for children, and much more. The hosts were super friendly and even offered a ranch tour. It was great to see all the animals! If possible, we would definitely come back. 100% recommended!

The hosts are nothing short of incredible. Not only is their communication excellent, but they also go out of their way to show care and kindness. The facility is unmatched--hot showers, restrooms, and hookups. And, the farm tour was incredible--our kids loved the goats, pigs, and horses (and gave way too much food to the wondering donkeys). We'll be back!

Great Camping and Recharging!

Very peaceful camping! I solo camp as a woman and felt completely safe here. Great wildlife- deer, woodpeckers, firefly and my favorite owls. And of course the horses grazing in the woods near my tent was amazing and the donkeys were friendly, definitely shy. Peach apples carrots oranges bananas- they loved them all! Trails were nice and shaded. The firewood on campsite was great, I would definitely add it on again. Bathrooms and showers were clean and nice. Rob and Mike are great. Got me settled, made sure I knew they were a call/ text away, and didn’t see them again. I stayed at the Hobbit Hole, great hammock spot and close to bathroom but also tucked in and very private. You will NEED extreme bug spray and I do recommend tucking pants into light colored socks. There were ticks, horseflies, and yellow flies in addition to normal Florida stinging and biting pests. Not a problem if you are dressed correctly.

Mike and Rob were excellent hosts! We didn't realize it would be so chilly at night, I brought no blankets. When Mike questioned my son about the evening, he was less than enthusiastic. He only had a towel for a blanket. Mike loaned us two sleeping bags!! The baby goats were adorable. The young ones silly. Beware that one guy, you stop petting, he'll start tugging your shorts down! Although, one word of warning, don't feed the free roaming donkeys at your site. And Stormy likes to redecorate. The trails were nice, particularly one which was a shady oasis in late afternoon. We had a great time! I highly recommend!

We had a incredible time at Lucky U Ranch. Our son absolutely loved all the donkey and horses that roamed freely as well as we did including the tour with goats and pigs and miniature horses. Definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone!!!!! Absolutely incredible!!!!!

Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay on this beautiful property. Rob and Mike were wonderful hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. We loved how much space we had in between sites to give plenty of privacy and loved that the animals were out and about during the day free to roam the land. By far our favorite hipcamp stay yet!

Rob and Mike are Awesome Hosts. It feels like being with family when you are there. They make it fun and keep everything so clean and organized. We had a blast petting the farm animals and seeing all the various pets. We would come back again and again. Highly Recommend !!
