RV Carport Retreat at Lucky U Ranch Nestled close to all the amenities of the ranch, this spacious 18' x 40' RV carport offers privacy and convenience without the presence of visiting horses or donkeys. It features a 50-amp electrical hook-up, filtered water, and a private septic system—perfect for extended stays. Shaded by mature oak trees and overlooking the tranquil lily pond, the site includes a private 16' x 24' paver patio complete with a cozy fire pit. Only one other RV shares the 5-acre property, and it is located well away from the carport, ensuring peace and quiet. For safety, dogs must remain on leash during the day, as the property shares a fence line with our Anatolian Shepherds. Well-behaved dogs may enjoy off-leash time after 5 PM as the shepherds are up in the barn.

This is one of the best Hipcamp I've ever been to! I had a great time here tons of privacy. Great trails in the forest. The Rob annd Mike are wonderful. And there are lots of beautiful animals too! I highly recommend staying at this Hipcamp.

Everything went well and everything exceeded our expectations and they were amazing hosts. The atmosphere was serene, if we needed anything they were right there. The showers and the bathroom facilities were absolutely clean and they were well stocked and those are probably some of the nicest hip camp hygiene facilities I have seen at the larger campgrounds. There was a great small kitchen area. Everything was accessible to us. We had animals come through our campsite like horses and mules and visit us literally right at our camper door and they invited themselves to my dog's dog food and I absolutely love that they made themselves at home where they are at in their own natural surroundings. I hope the horses and mules were happy to greet us when they came through. We had a wonderful tour of the farm with our kids and absolutely love those animals. It was such a touch of heaven to have what seems like Noah's ark right there. Lol. They have the utmost respect for the campers needs and have things available to anticipate a camper's need even if we didn't know we needed it but it was great! I couldn't have asked for better campsite in my opinion. We had children, our service dog and three adults on the site. All five of us could have slept in the camper which I loved because there were five places for people to individually sleep. There's bunk beds in there for the kids too. Cooking needs met and you bring your food. Wifi was pure. Thank you so much.

Mike and Rob met us at the gate and were very helpful in getting us to our site. On the drive in it had the feel of old Florida, Cypress trees, moss hanging in the live oak trees. The donkeys and horses were friendly and just roaming around. Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean, kitchen area with microwave, large sink, coffee maker. The sites were very nice. They took us on a tour of their farm with the many goats and other animals, it was great. We plan on going back with our family next year. You will not be disappointed, highly recommend the ranch 👌.

Absolutely outstanding! It was our first family vacation and we definitely enjoyed every minute of it! We stayed in the camper with our 2 small kids and quickly realized I overpacked. There were plenty of extra blankets and fully stocked cookware. Waking up to the donkey’s outside of our window was amazing and seeing my 2 small kids reaction is something I will hold on to. thank you for the unforgettable memories, are will definitely be back.

This place is a peaceful getaway. I have revisited on multiple occasions and I am always impressed by the care and attention to detail the hosts provide. This forestry conservation is exceptional. The added benefits of free roaming donkeys and horses are captivating. I never get enough of visiting Lucky U Ranch. Thanks Mike&Rob for another memorable stay. Keep up the great work.

Rob and Mike’s place is the best. We love the horses and donkeys knocking at our door in the morning. Their facilities are amazing, great site locations, showers, and farm tour. This is our second year at this wonderful location. Everyone is so friendly. If you love farm animals and plenty of land to hike around, this is the place for you.

Wonderful place to camp and relax. Really enjoyed the donkeys and the horses coming to visit us at our campsite daily. The hosts are so sweet and accommodating. Gave us a ranch tour so we could visit all of the new baby, goats, turkeys, chickens etc. already planning another trip in May and bringing other friends with us. I highly recommend this hip camp

I use Hipcamp quite a bit and this is one of the best Hipcamp I have ever visited!! The host of fantastic, wonderful, and kind folks. It was lovely getting to know them a little bit! The ranch itself is fantastic. There are large swaths of forest with hiking trails and the camp sites are some of the most secluded private campsites I have ever been to at a Hipcamp. The shower and bathroom and kitchen facilities are fantastic! They even provide towels, which is amazing!!:). The animals are adorable, beautiful creatures And it's wonderful to spend time with them. Rob and Mike obviously invest a lot of time, energy and love into creating a wonderful space. I will definitely be back again soon and highly highly recommend Hipcamp!!

We stayed at Lucky U Ranch Campground from Friday through Monday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Bob and Mike made us feel right at home. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly care about their guests having a great time. One of the highlights of our stay was the farm tour, it was excellent! Getting up close and spending time with the animals was such a special experience. There’s something truly refreshing about being able to slow down, interact with the animals, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. For my wife and me, this trip was the perfect opportunity to step away from the stress of the tax code, computers, and everyday responsibilities, and reconnect with nature. The ranch offers a calm, relaxing environment that helps you reset and recharge. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay and are already looking forward to coming back again. If you’re looking for a welcoming place to unwind and experience farm life in a beautiful natural setting, Lucky U Ranch Campground is the perfect choice!

Loved camping at Lucky U Ranch! My tent site was so beautifu with old oaks and Cypress trees providing shade and an open area to view the stars. Very peaceful and quiet with dim lighting for viewing the sky. Sites are spaced well for privacy also. Hot showers and tasty complementary coffee and hot chocolate or cold water. Wildlife abounds and the farm animals are friendly. Hiking trails too! Rob and Mike are wonderful hosts. Plenty of extras available too.

There is a reason the Lucky U Ranch was featured in the 2025 Best of Hipcamp - it is an amazing, beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Mike and Rob are WONDERFUL hosts and such very nice people. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We were there for an event in a neighboring town. The event was cancelled but instead of leaving we decided to stay and enjoy the ranch and we are so glad we did. We enjoyed the farm tour and seeing all of the animals that reside at the ranch. We had 3 - four legged guests each morning for breakfast that were friendly and truly loved apples. Our site was level and well maintained. Having a pad with a picnic table and outdoor carpet landing for our stairs was great. We camped in a 35 ft travel trailer. No issues entering the property or getting to our campsite.

Wow! Me & my friends were first time campers & we loved this experience so much! Rob & Mike put so much thought into their land in order to make you feel welcome. Many amenities we did not account for before arriving, very mindful & considerate host. Giving us a true ranch experience by guiding us through the land where the animals are was a lovely way to end our trip. Being Florida natives but living in big cities we felt a complete fresh breath of air here, the night sky was beautiful to gaze it. Will repeat ASAP! 100% recommend this camping experience

Here you’ll find tranquility, peacefulness, and well thought out & intentional spaces; truly an oasis full of fun days & star-gazing nights! Rob & Mike thought of everything to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Quiet place with all the amenities you could ask for (Bathroom, hot shower, coffee station, etc.) while still feeling like you’re secluded out in nature. Visits from the horses and donkeys to start the morning; as well as all of the wildlife surrounding you throughout the day & night; truly make this place special! The tour is one of the best parts! So many sweet animals who are well loved & want all the treats you can offer! This place heals the soul!!

Okay, you may think these two guys and Lucky U are too good to be true by the sound of this and other reviews but they are not! This was the best HipCamp or other campground we have EVER stayed at! We used the camper because the weather was cold, and loved it but would also come back and tent camp because of all the amenities! They have thought of everything…. Clean toilets, hot showers, a shared kitchen, even hot cocoa, coffee and mints. Fire pits with wood starters and wood, tables with tablecloths and campsites that are really spread out! The horses and donkeys come to share morning coffee with you and Rob/Mike take you on a leisurely farm tour with ample time for goat/pig/dog cuddling :) The best part of the place however, are the hosts themselves Their passion and enthusiasm for all creatures ( even is humans) is so evident. We wanted to move on with them! Their staff and they keep the place spotless…. Cannot brag on this place enough! There is SO much to do in the area, we went swimming with the manatees, kayaking on crystal clear rivers, hiking….. but even if there was nothing at all to do…. Lucky U is worth the trip alone!!! They are not charging enough….. better than most Air B N Bs than we have been to!!!

A wonderful place to spend a nice quiet weekend. Truly a beautiful working ranch. Rob and Mike are absolutely amazing hosts. The restrooms and showers were very clean and kept up well. The highlight was getting a tour of the ranch and animals. We will be back very soon. Hopefully going home with some goats.

Loved our stay at Lucky U Ranch. Rob and Mike were super nice and accommodating. The facilities where well equipped, clean and they surprised us with having washcloths and towels available (which was nice because I had forgotten my towel at home) we got a tour of their farm and I even got to hold one of their baby goats. Our site was private (we requested the Far away site, we have very barky dachshunds) and they were always present and available if we had a question. Will definitely be back and look forward to our stays there.
