Escape to the peaceful pines of Highlands County at our private, spacious, single-site campsite in Sun N Lakes Estates. Nestled among tall pines on sandy terrain, this property offers a true opportunity to get away from it all. It is perfect for relaxing under the trees or exploring Florida’s natural beauty. Wake up to the cheerful songs of local birds and enjoy the shade of mature pines surrounding your exclusive campsite. As a work-in-progress retreat, we are continually making upgrades for added comfort and convenience. Recent improvements include a brand-new rustic outhouse for guest comfort. With only one campsite on the property, you will have plenty of space and privacy for your group. Whether you are seeking a quiet retreat, a basecamp for outdoor adventure, or simply wish to unplug in nature, our evolving little oasis is the perfect spot. While the site feels tucked away in nature, this is a rural area and the surrounding neighborhood can occasionally be lively. It’s not unusual to hear the sounds of ATVs or distant gunshots from recreational shooting nearby. Most guests still find the property peaceful, but we want guests to be aware of these occasional rural sounds when choosing to stay.Welcome to Harmon Pine Tent Campsite, a private tent camping spot near Lake Placid, Florida, in peaceful Highlands County. Tent camped with pets, Sept 2026.

We arrived pretty late. It was not too hard to find the place because we carefully read the instructions on how to get there. The night sky was dark and beautiful. We saw lots of stars even a couple shooting stars. In the morning we saw lots of flowers around us. The host was very welcoming and even sent us a local weather forecast. We enjoyed our quick 1 night stay on our roadtrip.

We were excited to learn of the app first and foremost and was able to book an immediate campsite wven at such a late hour . Dany was very welcoming , made sure we found it easily . We had a 4x4 Jeep Cherokee ( big tires and lifted ) so the sand he mentions was bot bad at all . Very nice and private set up . Loved that it had little marked trails , firepit and off grid restroom room . I always enjoy those added perks . Very quiet area and the sky watcher views were awesome . Highly recommended , And again , thank you Dany 😊

Outhouse is very nice!! Dany’s property is the best of the best in Hip Camp tent camping 🏕️ Follow directions for location and landmarks. Super private. Super stargazing (no light pollution). Shady with mature trees 🌴 and feels like a garden. Day long shade for your vehicle.
