Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Nestled in the San Bernardino forest, True North is a 2 acre forest sanctuary to connect yourself to the natural world. Surrounded by towering pines and majestic Engelmann oaks, the chorus of birds welcoming the dawn, the crisp mountain air slowing the breath and the quiet awe beneath a canopy of stars create the conditions for something modern life rarely allows: space. Space for the nervous system to settle, for the heart to breathe, for the mind to listen and for the quiet wisdom within to gently emerge. True North exists as a place where the natural world becomes an active participant in your experience. Here, the forest teaches. The mountain air heals. The quiet restores. Our campsites are positioned along the cardinal directions, inviting you to venture deeper into the landscape at your own pace. North Star's is your threshold to the more remote discoveries that await beyond. This is a place of genuine connection: to the land, to yourself, to what matters most. Whether you come seeking solitude, renewal or simply to remember what it feels like to be held by something larger than yourself, True North welcomes you into a world where that quiet wisdom can finally be heard.Perched on the slope of our mountain forest, it's the perfect spot to unwind without venturing too far into the wilderness. Pitch your tent beneath towering incense cedars, Jeffrey pines and white oaks that create natural shelter and shade. The canopy is open enough to see the stars above, while the dense forest floor, carpeted with forest duff, is soft underfoot. You'll wake to the chorus bird species moving through the trees and enjoy the crisp mountain air that makes breathing feel intentional and easy. Grey squirrels move through the understory and some deer may roam into sight. A hiker or maybe one or two cars drift by on the road, but otherwise this is your world now. The quiet here is the real deal.
