Enjoy the serenity! Bring your horses and your dog, bring your guitar, a good book, even bring a golf set and a bucket of balls. You will have 80 acres of stunning country all to yourselves. Only one booking taken at a time. No one else will be anywhere near! Self-contained campers only, please bring in what you need, and take all waste with you. Base price covers up to 8 people, with capacity capped at 12 people.  The land is characterised by rolling hills, covered by mostly open grassland, with patches of gum trees for shade, and a dam and creek. There's also a native eucalypt forest right across the road with miles of fire trails for walking and horse riding. In the cooler months, the land turns from shades of gold to greens.  There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.  If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.  Campfires are permitted when fire bans are not in place. NOTE: We do offer the neighbouring 50-acre paddock for hunting/shooting - with conditions. Please note, this activity is offered separately to our Hipcamp operation and needs to be organised with us directly. Also, we do not allow hunting/shooting next door, if there is a group camping already.

Gooseberry Hill was once home to dozens of gold miners in canvas tents seeking their luck. It is flat ground ideal for campervans and caravans. Situated just on the outskirts of Dunolly, it is very close to town amenities. There is tap water on the site near the 150 year old apple tree near the main road. You are able to camp privately well back from the road. The site once had brick buildings of shopkeepers and even a hospital - all now long gone. The double story hotel built in 1862 as a Cobb & Co coach hotel for the Gooseberry Hill gold miners, is the only building still standing. The land had a vineyard at one time, and still has a small olive grove and quince trees. It was used in the 1870's as a sporting ground with events such as brass bands, Lantern Parades and even a formal Ball in the Hotel. It was a wild and rough time in the gold mining days with a double murder at the butchers shop on the site. There was also a Chinese Camp nearby, as well as gambling dens. All the trees were removed in the 1860's for mining, but now vegetation is being restored. at the back of the property is the quarry and old diggings. it is an interesting walk but beware of old mining shafts and deep diggings. In summer time watch out for snakes. Kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas are all around the property.

Grampians Park Station is a beautifully maintained 160 acre private estate surrounded on 3 sides by the Grampians National Park. Reserviour Creek runs just behind the camping area which runs from Spring until Autumn creating a peaceful place to relax and enjoy. The toilet and shower block are rustic on the outside, but immaculate modern, fully tiled and boast large 1.2m showers and new, clean well appointed toilets. These are a short 400m walk/ride from the campsites along a clearly marked track. Other things to note: *Due to being surrounded by the National Park, you may find that some mobile network coverage is a bit patchy but Telstra generally has good connectivity. Convenient to access, you are only 20 mins from bustling Ararat which is the largest town in the region and has an abundance of eateries and supermarkets. We are 40 mins from Halls Gap, the hub of the Grampians and 6 minutes to the Moyston General Store Cafe which has a reputation for exceptional coffee! You are just a phone call away from the owners for any help or advice. Enjoy our beautiful 160 acre estate. We ask only that you enjoy the tranquility and leave our land the way you found it.

Our 20 acre property is home to lots of birdlife including many little swallows. The campsite is open, grassy land with large eucalypts, bottle-brushes and other native trees. There is an olive grove too. We have resident wildlife including echidnas, goannas and "Wally" the Wallaby. We're located a 2 min drive from Lake Laanecoorie which is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing and walking. Plenty of great places for road cycling and mounting biking too. This campsite suits self-sufficient campers who bring their own toilet/shower facilities, water and power supplies. There is tank water available for washing hands etc (but it is not potable). Dogs on leashes are very welcome. The Laanecoorie region has many attractions to offer including Melville Caves, named after bushranger Captain Melville (the local folktales state that his gold is still buried in the area!), the Loddon Miniature Steam Locomotive Society displays (4th Sunday of each month), weekend markets and wineries. The canoe trail on the river and lake is a must!

Please read all the info before you book... This is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway or as a home base if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Dunolly or Dunolly itself. Early mornings and late evenings you may be lucky to receive visits from Kangaroos. Camp freely around the designated campfire and enjoy an amazing star-gazing experience (on clear nights). The water hole is good for yabbies and great for skipping stones. We swim in it occasionally but prefer to go to the lake. We cannot endorse any swimming or entering the water hole as it is a liability issue and we cannot be responsible for anyone who chooses to swim or enter the area of the waterhole. Dunolly town has a great bakery, a pub, and a supermarket. Lake Laanacoorie 15 mins drive. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming. ***Pit-toilet (portable) available: - There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only. ***Keep Clean. -We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival. ***Warning. -Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property. ***Fire Wood: - You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. If I'm able to provide firewood it'll be stacked but this is not something to depend on as it just depends on availability and time that I may not have. ***More info. -The campsite is close to the water hole which means it's also at the front of the property and approx 120m from the main road. You will see a vehicle passing by maybe once per hour in the daytime.

Campfires are permitted in the provided firepits (within local regulations) and there is firewood available on site which is in addition to your camping fee. We don't have toilets on site, so you'll need to be self-contained. There is also a public toilet behind the community hall (about 250m from the property boundary). There are no showers. We offer two separate, large camping areas, both very private from one another. Please refer to each listing details as to which site will suit you best. Stone Hill is the perfect location to set up camp while you experience the native fauna and flora, hike, explore the region or just simply unplug and reconnect with nature. The place consists of privacy, use of kayaks and safety gear, fishing rods, boat ramp, and a lovely getaway for a couple or family. We've also recently added a basketball court, beach volleyball, mini football oval and soccer goals. Lots to do! Come here to enjoy the peace, and six meters of clean clear water at your camp door if you please. Fire pits are provided and we offer firewood for sale if needed, outside of fire-ban season - No firewood is to be taken from the property unless paid for. This is a unique camp experience. All we ask is you leave the place as you found it. The stars in the night sky are second to none, we hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do. IMPORTANT: We do not offer toilet facilities, so all campers MUST be self-contained, and take all waste with them. In order to protect the fragile river system, strictly no dumping of waste or greywater on the property. Waterski boats are strictly prohibited. We require at least 12 hours notice before your stay, but if you do need a last-minute spot, please feel free to send us an enquiry and we may be able to accommodate you. Whilst pets are welcome, please inform us prior to booking if you are planning to bring pets along. Redbank Camping is a 58 acre property, it's flat with one big hill to climb. There is three dams with yabbies in two of them. 100 plus young fruit tree and about 10 sheep roaming the land. It's a quiet area and a great place to just relax. It can be very cold in winter but there is plenty of wood to make a camp fire. It can get very hot in summer, but there is plenty of gumtree to shade under during the day. Choose where to set up in the flat, open camping area. We only have one group at a time, so you'll have the place to yourself as your private place to explore and enjoy. We accomodate RVs and tents. Pets welcome if under conrtol. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. The property is located 30 minutes from Maryborough. It is a short drive to the Kara Kara National Park, Governor Rock Lookout Tower and West of England Firetower.
