Beautiful campsite next to the dam on a natural bush property. Very peaceful and relaxing location and lots of wallabies, kangaroos and birds to enjoy watching. Jocelyn and Peter are lucky to have such a nice property and we are thankful that they let other people enjoy it. Would definitely like to return again.

Beautiful serene spot by a billabong and having the campground just for one party - large or small - is wonderful. Lots to do in nearby Moonambel… if you like wineries 😉Only negative for us was that the toilet wasn’t working. Peter offered for us to use their toilet - a short drive away - which was helpful even though not ideal. We appreciate their responsiveness and hope they fix the issue for future campers.

Peaceful, private and incredibly relaxing!
Great spot for kids, dogs and even adults to run around without disturbing others. Plenty of shade from the sun, and a great little dam to cool off in. Ripper spot, will be back for sure 👍

We spent two nights here and it was not enough! Beautiful, open and private spot with your own personal dam. It was a hot hot hot weekend and we spent all of Sunday moving between the shade of the trees and floating in the dam. Our three dogs loved it and settled into camp life straight away. It's easy to find while still being off the beaten track. Such a great campsite with a table and chairs, fire pit (which we did not use this time due to total fire ban) and onsite loo. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

What an amazing hipcamp!
Peace and quiet, surrounded by bush as far you can see. Incredible dam for paddleboarding and swimming. Nice and clean camp area.

We spent three lovely nights camping at Billabong Camp with our extended family. The campsite was perfect: spacious, secluded, and surrounded by nature. We spotted kangaroos, many birds, frogs & two sleepy lizards. We enjoyed naps in our hammocks, meals by the campfire, and mud play (for our toddler) on the banks of the billabong. The campfire area & table were well set up and the portable toilet was clean and stink-free. We would recommend the campsite for anyone looking to get away to nature and back to basics.

We loved tent camping at Peter and Jocelyn’s! They have a beautiful property and have thoughtfully prepared a number of flat level sites, fire pit and clean toilet. We hope to return soon!

Great space.
Lots of trees for kids to climb. Space to ride their bike.
Quiet and relaxing.
Though it rained for most of the days, we still managed a fire and time to explore the grounds.

Myself, two dogs and 11 other campers had a great time! The site had plenty of space and a clean toilet.
Peter and Jocelyn were so helpful and friendly getting there and into the site was a breeze.
We will be back for sure!

Billabong camp was such a relaxing place to camp. Waking up to a view of animals drinking from the billabong was so peaceful. Plenty of areas to explore and for dog walks. Just a great place to kick back and relax!!

Overall we had a good experience, the site was easy to find. Our dog's appreciated the dam, they loved swimming in it. We loved the solitude. There were plenty of fire wood available and the pit was large and clean. The picnic table was large and very clean. The only feedback is the toilet, it was hard to get the flush working. In our opinion, a good composting toilet could be better than the flush system. But the toilet was very clean, has enough toilet rolls, air freshener etc.

We had a fantastic stay at the Billabong Camp with a large group, including lot's of space, great facilities and the Billabong itself providing refreshing swims . Peter & Jocelyn were great hosts and provided clear instructions for reaching the site as well as all the necessary information on the local area for us to camp safely and were very welcoming. What an absolutely unforgettable Hipcamp experience! We embarked on an adventure with 5 adults, a child and 3 dogs, and discovered the site to be incredibly spacious and peaceful, the epitome of serenity. We camped with a caravan and a large tent. The communication from Peter and Jocerlyn was exemplary and prompt, with clear instructions provided on finding the site, site rules and etiquette through comprehensive documentation, truly above and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed observing kangaroos and wallabies jumping through and around the site, as well as visiting the billabong for a drink, a truly invigorating experience. Our campsite experience was further enhanced by the presence of shingle-backs, foxes and native birds, a true marvel of nature. The toilet facilities were immaculately clean, and ample firewood was available for use in the large fire pit, a wonderful bonus! The picnic table proved to be a great amenity for our family meals, fostering a sense of togetherness. Our dogs appreciated the water feature, which provided a convenient means of cooling off. We absolutely loved our time at this camp and felt utterly inspired.

Really nice site next to the Billabong down a small track. Facilities and landscape exactly as pictured and great communication from host providing a google docs with a lot of info.

We stayed at woodland retreat for a wonderful and very peaceful four nights in November with 10 people in a mixture of off road vans, a camper trailer and swags, with plenty of room to spread out comfortably, albeit the site has a small slope to consider.
Having the whole site to ourselves was fantastic, as was the amount of firewood around the property, and the clean porta-loo.
Around the billabong camp site, we were fortunate to see an echidna, some shingle-back lizards, and on our walks around the property, heaps of kangaroos.
The dogs had a great time being off lead, and swimming in the billabong.
Peter and Jocelyn are very responsive to questions, and provided great instructions for getting there, as well as other useful info for the local area.

Best Hipcamp spot!
Very private, peaceful & relaxing place to unwind, recharge & explore.
Birds, kangaroos, blue tounge & frill neck lizards kept us well entertained.
Loads of hiking tracks around & great local pub. Also a lovely post office open 5 days a week for a few hours a day.
Peter & Jocelyn were great hosts.
Will definitely return! 5/5 ⭐️

We absolutely loved our stay at Peter and Jocelyn’s bushland campsite! Only about 50 minutes from Halls Gap and it was so nice having the campsite to ourselves! It’s dog friendly and the fire pit was set up and ready to go (also so much wood to collect which saved us a fair bit of money - that was so helpful!) There was plenty of space for our group to spread out and set up camp and we all had a really lovely time. We hope to be back soon ☺️

Really calm and serene spot with the billabong and big beautiful gums.
Some nice small touches like a bench overlooking the water and a really well looked after portaloo.
The kids loved throwing rocks in the water and riding around it. We had a great time.
Excellent signage and easy to access too.

The campsite was great. It was so nice to walk around the property and explore the bush with my dog! We saw plenty of kangaroos, a wallaby, lots of birds, and a beautiful sunset. The site also had a big campfire spot set up, and there was ample firewood around to collect. It was really handy having a portable toilet onsite. Peter and Jocelyn were really good at replying to messages. We were very happy campers :)
