Loddon River Park
Stayed for the Easter weekend. When booking, our assumption was that all sites were riverfront, but this was not the case. Would be great to have each site marked out to ensure everyone is evenly spaced out. All guests were respectful and we had no issue with noise, however some boats travelling along the river were going too fast which can be daunting for children on kayaks or SUP’s.
Would stay again, but will be mindful to get in quick to get a riverfront site as they were definitely in demand. Price per night was a bit high considering not all sites were absolute riverfront.

Easter 25 was packed, we were a group of 3 vans and managed to get last waterfront space to accommodate us together and we arrived 2 days before Easter . Lovely river views . Great fire pits everywhere but BYO wood.
Was difficult to get direct water access for our kayaks from our van area due to rocks and terrain. On other side of river was an active gun club that went on for hours 2 of the Easter days a warning If you have reactive dogs.

Overall ok, great location but with some attention would be a good spot, particularly for families. I picked up some rubbish left by previous campers . There were also 2 permanent bins overflowing with rubbish. In fairness I arrived on a Tues after long weekend which would have been busy , so maybe owner did not have chance to tidy up . Also, not that I wanted to use it but there is a small dilapidated jetty with rotten and broken boards . I suggest either repair or remove it , as could be a safety issue , particularly for kids . Website says no toilet which is fine as had my own portaloo. However, there is actually a drop toilet on site , so out of curiosity checked it out. Wish I hadn't, it was pretty disgusting . I suggest either periodically clean it or padlock the door so no-one can have the chance to access it . Overall this Hipcamp has huge potential, just needs some TLC

Great location - it was pretty full but everyone was respectful and there are sites in quieter locations (mind you it was a long-weekend). Close to town for stocking up if needed - plenty of fishing and a great spot to cool down for a swim. Would recommend.

Great property with plenty of room for groups. Not everyone gets a waterfront site but everyone can enjoy the view. Great town and pub within a short bike or drive.

Great camping spot with beautiful river frontage. A busy long weekend with lots of other campers but sites are roomy so you’re not on top of each other. We had 3 vans on our site and there was heaps of room! Highly recommended! Thanks.

Awesome place to get away from everything and have a campsite beside the river for swimming or fishing. The river also does not allowing skiing in the stretch Mark has his property on. Quiet location with plenty of room. You have to be fully self contained van or camp set up. Fire pits are there for use and firewood. Highly recommend for a weekend get away!
Plus great pub and bakery in Bridgewater!

Fantastic location and the river was absolutely perfect for the kids to go swimming. We had a large group and a huge area just for us to sit around the fire was great. Mark was an absolute legend and even towed our hired portaloos back to camp after they were dropped off at a boat ramp 3kms away. Will definitely be back!

Great spot for tent, caravan or camper trailer. Easy access to the river and heaps of room for game/activities. Pub, bakery, petrol station near by. Had an awesome time and will definitely go back.

Great spot on the river . Sites , now there are some lovely spots as you enter , some ok spots at the very end of the property but if they’re taken as they were for us we ended up next to the oval on uneven ground . Yes could have parked further away from the river for a level site but brought my tinnie and wanted to fish from bank also. First in best dressed, not great when you pay the same as the sites in the awesome spot . Would be better to sell sites on merit with photos as others I’ve seen on hip camp . Id definitely come back if it makes the change .

Amazing camp site. Peaceful, plenty to explore and the kids absolutely loved the kayaks supplied!
Only downside would have been the amount of wasp/bees nests around.
All in all a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the Loddon river, will definitely be back!

Loved our time at this campground. We had the perfect tucked away private spot up toward the end of the camp area. Amazing sunset, perfect spot for a nice weekend away. We will 100% be making this a regular spot. Be mindful of the wind but that didn’t ruin our amazing time. Nice wildlife around and would be an awesome spot to come with a group too.

We again chose this location due to its location, privacy and well spaced sites. Camp areas are on the edge of the river handy for fishing from your campsite and many places to swim and launch a kayak. We’re planning on coming back soon.

Had a great time down at Loddon, but (most likely due to a long weekend) it was packed.
Felt more like a caravan park.
Was a beautiful spot and super lovely people around us, but definitely not secluded and on busy weekends I'd get in early to get a good spot by the river.
No complaints though for the price and location.
