You do not charge me a $55 cleaning fee when the sheets haven't been changed, but only deodorized with the strongest smelling deodorant I have ever encountered. White towels Always! Ours were gray with brown streaks. I guess somebody used them after they did their business in our cabin. Luckily we brought our own and used those after we showered/ swam. Had to listen to Tammy. Go on and on for 30 minutes about leaving a good review but you know what? No. To her credit she did give us two tubes for free. I'm not expecting Caesars Palace in this type of camping situation but it could have been a whole lot better.

Jupe - Site 2 - Riverfront Camping

I loved my stay at dos Rios, I stayed in the Jupe cliff hanger site. The views were magnificent and enjoyed looking down at the river and seeing the fish swimming around. Loved the hole area and definitely planning on coming back.

Dos Rios Cabin - 6

We booked a cabin for 6 people and had a great time. There was a hammock outside, a fire pit and a small charcoal grill. The cabin had great AC, a large fridge, a microwave, a large sink and a glass stovetop with an oven. The shower was very small though. I recommend bringing all kitchen gadgets that you would need for cooking and seasonings plus oil. There was a kayak rental available for $50 a day. The river was absolutely amazing and we even found some great places to take photos and jump into the water. The dirt public roads behind it were a lot of fun to explore with all the low water crossings. There was a burger joint right across from the place as well and they were well priced and absolutely delicious. The spots were close together so there wasn’t as much privacy as we thought but everyone was friendly and nice.

Nice campground right on the llano river. The park hosts were friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again if we’re in the area. The only negative was it needed weed eated very bad in the actual campsite. Ironically as we were leaving a man was out mowing so I imagine it’s not in that condition all the time. I really appreciated how dog friendly the place was. Our two dogs had a blast.

I went tent camping and my baseline is that I expect a private campground to be a better experience compared to a state park. This was not the case—bathrooms were horrendous, there was long grass at the campsite, and equipment was in disrepair. And signage could be significantly improved. I want to add this review, since the RV experience might be better (I’m not sure why there are so many positive reviews.) I was hoping to come back for the glamping tents, but this was nothing like the pictures. Too bad, since there is a lot of potential here with a little tlc.

Site 10 - Dos Rios Camping

We chose this campsite because we wanted to be close to water and because they claimed to have clean bathrooms, and strong WiFi, which we needed to keep in touch with our babysitter. Finding our campsite was confusing, there was no signage for site 10- the woman at the welcome center gave us poor directions and basically said “I think it’s that way”. We did eventually find the area and were absolutely shocked at how close and small the campsites were. We read the reviews, but it’s crazier than you can expect. The campsites ranged in size, with most being tiny and cramped. -There’s no organization; you book in the Ridge Loop area and you hope you get there in time to get a site that you and your party will fit into. -The bathrooms were filthy. When we got there the men’s bathroom had literal feces smeared on the wall. -The WiFi barely worked so I wasn’t able to contact my babysitter as regularly as expected. -The trek down to the river is long and steep, so be prepared to hike with your river gear. We made the best we could have it, but we won’t be returning.

Tent camping was super fun! The little camp sight was super quaint with a fire pit, grill, picnic table and chairs. The sunset views were gorgeous, the sky view was even better. The river is just a hop, skip and jump away. Llano and river is beautiful, crisp and cool. Perfect for splashing around 10/10

I’ve been on a 3 week road trip and this was the one of the best tent camping site I’ve been to! The drive to the campground was nice and the map was super helpful in getting around. Our host, Tammy, was so kind and friendly! She helped us figure out the bathhouse(s), nearby activities, and where to get gas. The ground was flat and the string lights helped make it more homey. The bathhouse near our site was very clean and a short walk away.

This is our second time staying at Dos Rios. We always have a great time. The tent had everything it needed but was a little dirtier inside than what I expected after staying in the Jupe properties but nothing that would deter us from coming back. The host is super friendly and helpful. We love the proximity to the river and neighboring towns.

Lots of stuff to do in the area, take a drive on country roads and listen to James Taylor sing it on the radio or a 10-minute drive downtown and explore the cool old-town vibe and great people and places to eat and drink. If your old and or handicapped like me, get a site close to the bathrooms/showers on the 2nd level, not right on the river, as it could be difficult going up and down the steps.

Site 12 - Dos Rios Camping

Overall, we had a great experience as a family of eight. The Ridge Loop area was a bit crowded, so I wouldn’t recommend it for larger families. The campsites themselves felt packed in and could benefit from being more spread out. There were quite a few cacti around, which made tent placement a little tricky. That said, the water was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. I’d definitely return, but next time I’d choose a larger site. A big plus was the availability of real restrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers.

Amazing Stay!

Jupe - Site 1 - Riverfront Camping

We stayed in a jupe site, “private side,” we had our children and grandchildren in two tents (4-6 man tents) the spot was perfect for us. A short stroll down to the river where we were beach front and basically had our own little sections. Kids loved the cliff jumping, our granbabies loved playing in the shallow end finding beautiful little river rocks and shells. Bathroom and shower was also a short stroll which was super convenient. The jupe itself was a great size, nice and breezy we didn’t have to use ac or heat weather was perfect! I’d highly suggest canopies like we did the sun will getcha in this spot especially as it gets hotter. We would totally stay here again but might just rent both Jupes for more family to attend!
