Originally built in 1870 as a Métis fishing lodge for the lord of the Matapedia region is on a 118-acre faunic reserve at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains (there are paths to them right in the backyard), and the front of the lodge goes up to the Matapedia river for which we have river shore rights. Composting toilet on-site. Pets welcome! Ideal for tenters, van camping, and RVs!
Full of various mixed trees and medicinal plants of the boreal forest, the land is also rich in numerous berries and teeming wildlife.
Grocery and restaurants within minutes drive to the campsite.
